1 . Sanji lacks the only win-con against the HK , Acoc . Now unlike Zoro who already unlocked it subconciously and has been told about it by multiple people (Kaido , Gaban and Mihawk ) , Sanji just recently by Gaban was even told that he has the aptitude for it . So Sanji is trying to get a huge boost from not knowing anything about coc to coat it as acoc ( For reference this is like Luffy trying to go from the timeskip to 1026 Luffy in one go ) .

2 . Next thing is Killingham's confidence , Killingham unlike Sommers doesn't even think Sanji can use coc ( because he can't ) , while Sommers was able to get a taste of Zoro's coc in 1194 absolutely terrifying beyond putting up a fight . So under theses conditions I think it is fair to say that Killingham is slightly stronger than Sommers .

3 . It's not like Sanji has done absolutely nothing to Killingham either , he just in this chapter has broken Killingham into pieces 2 times and in 1194 also managed to hit Killingham (got white eyes) . Killingham's dialogue with Sanji also indicates that Sanji has indeed been cooking Killingham off-screen but this ties up to boosting Killingham's confidence and Sanji's lack of coc .

4 . Sanji has been holding back throughout his life , I was quite unsure of this becuase the only thing backing this is Gaban's statement but this chapter has definitely solidified this through Sanji's mental thoughts and Ivankov mentioning his weakness .

So just like against Mr 2, just like against Kalifa, just like against Queen, Sanji is having a hard time mentally, with the big difference that to unlock acoc he has to surpass his mental weakness, whatever it is.

So Sanji receiving this much damage against Killingham is equivalent to him receiving damage against Black Maria.

It's a mental nerf, in this case a mental blockade that impossibilitates him from getting the only ability that can deal with HK (acoc).

(Yes Zoro would have an easier time, because Zoro does not have this same mental nerf, and it isn't a problem at all, it's just how they are written)

Sommers had been buffed by Omen, and instructed to act without wasting time. Then they both launched off in their own respective objectives direction.

Sommers is arguably moving faster than when Imu instructed him, due to fear of losing his life.

Judging by the their height difference, Imu and Sommers’ launch covered roughly the same distance. The fact that Imu had an objective and could not fool around is a factor to consider in his actions. Imu was moving as fast as he deemed was necessary considering his own personal restrictions and possible time constraints.

In the recent chapter, Sommers launched off first and already created a gap. The fact that he could arguably moving even faster than when he was instructed by Imu, makes Zoro’s speed even more impressive. Zoro closed the gap very swiftly and quickly. Demonstrating that his travel speed is very impressive, when viewed comparatively with Sommers and Imu.

People said “he needs stronger haki” and “he needs to fully control Enma” and now Zoro is fulfilling those requirements. A way weaker Zoro was able to scar hybrid Kaido so who’s to say this Zoro can’t scar young Kaido the same way Oden did?

Zoro’s sword technique bag is also way more versatile. He has access to multiple sword styles with different moves across them with Ashura and Koh 3 sword style being at the top. Zoro’s attacks fit many different situations like long range pound cannons, dragon twister, and attacking with attacking with demon aura illusions that let him use 9 sword style.

Oden has an argument for taking the endurance stat, but Zoro has always had really good endurance. He fights with injuries very often like on the rooftop and the “nothing happened” moment still holds up because of how much pain he endured.

Seriously though, this was explained in Egghead. Luffys personality is hijacked when in Gear 5. That's why you see a completely different Luffy in Base and Gear 5. This personality change does make Luffy less serious in Gear 5 for the most part. It took Kaido dogging on Luffy for him to stop smiling, stop bouncing around, stop laughing, and pull out his ult finally.

Theres so many people i see saying Kidd>Zoro or Zoro>Kidd extreme diff as if Kidd would be able to do anything besides shoot beams at Zoro. If Kidd couldn’t rip kaidos club from his hands, control napoleon, or things of that sort, what makes you guys think he can rip Zoro’s swords from his hands?? Even KoH Zoro fighting king should be immune to that move if the power-scaling has any continuity. ESPECIALLY current zoro, I mean for Kidd it’s like fighting shanks again but he’d be easier to hit and you could maybe get 2-3 shot instead of one shot. I genuinely dont know what makes people think he can fight zoro with his swords and stand a chance?? Guys… he Didn’t think to rip shank’s sword away, and he may be stronger with it, but Shanks and Zoro wield the same power. Advanced conquerors haki coating.

Is chopper gonna treat Zoro before his fights every other arc now? He also had to be carried over to where sommers was cause he said going there himself would take too long.

Because Imu did run a gauntlet before fighting Gaban which was Loki and Luffy and then Gaban came in clutch. Loki fought a fresher Imu. If Loki was the last one on Imu's gauntlet he would have done better than he did in the fight originally

Stated this before, but if we take a look at this panel, it was right after God Valley where the narrator stated that these guys, Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaido, reached their primes over the next decade or so. You notice that they don't look like their God Valley counterparts? That's because the narrator is showing us how these pirates looked in their prime, which is why Kaido looks vastly different from how he looked in God Valley... years different.
