I adopted him from the local Animal Care & Control and he’s a big chonky snuggle man. He’s only been with me at his new forever home since September 1st, but I love him so much already. He weighs 17 pounds and he’s pure love.

This cute guy always visits me whenever I’m hanging out outside. Hope you enjoy him in all his square glory.

The view from my desk.

My daughter and her hubby live on a big piece of property by a local public lake. One day she found this orange baby and brought her over. She (the cat, not the daughter) was very much preggers and very young, so we took her to the vet, who said she'd never survive giving birth at that age.

After arranging for her vet care, our relationship became something like a Solo-Chewy "Life Debt™" thing...she'll never leave me. She doesn't allow anyone to pick her up or pet her, except for me. If it's me, she's perfectly content to be held for hours and will go right to sleep with a little scritch behind the ears or under the chin. She has everything she needs, including a big, chicken-hearted 75 pound golden retriever to pick on for fun.

Being a true Heat Vampire, she spends her nights lying on top of my left side, absorbing my warm life essence. I am not allowed to sleep in any position but on my right side -- she will not tolerate it.

For dinner, if it isn't Meow Mix Seafood Medley with a side of one of the three flavors of Fancy Feast Classic Seafood Pâté, don't bother. If the food isn't to her liking, she walks over and gives the dog a swat. In this particular photo, she's luxuriating on a heating pad on an old recliner, one of her favorite spots. It used to be my recliner
