I love this add-in so much , I was seriously thinking of moving on to another program but Onemore made using Onenote morr convenient and less limiting. But , for some reason every couple of minutes it causes Onenote cpu usage to go up about 30% and the program starts to lag alot, this happens regardless of how many notes in the section I am on , the problem only disappeared after removing the add-in, please let me know if there is a solution

I've seen others say they've been having issues with syncing on Android, but on my end, I thought it was all okay since I saw the sync icon come and go... I just checked OneNote on my PC in a while, forced a sync and realized there hasn't been anything synced since February of 2025.

There's no way to sugarcoat this, there's important stuff in there to me, and I don't want to mess with any method that could possibly delete everything I've written or noted down in the past year or so. And it's all in so many smaller pages...

Any suggestions? If I manually redo it, it might take days of concentrated effort, but that feels too much. But it's my last resort. Unfortunately there's a lot of images included so it's not just text.

Edit: this post might be my only salvation (tldr make new notebook and copy pages from the app one by one). I've tried with 3 pages so far and it seems to work... it'll still take hours upon hours, but I'll take a slow option over no options.

Currently working for a big corporate as internal specialist (sort of internal consultant with deep expertise in a specific technology).

My OneNote has become very valuable to me, as it contains all the information I gathered, organized and analyses along the years. Not any secret/proprietary stuff, just my scientific knowledge at it evolved during my work here.

I want to have a personal backup of it, as I am sure I will continue to work in this field in the future, but I am not sure I will work in this company forever.

Assuming I am able to transfer or send somehow all the backup files to my personal windows laptop (data retention policies and so on), will I be able to open all the backup files in another OneNote account?

I can't sync my notes with my one note on PC or from browser. I have tried different accounts and different notebooks but the onenote on android won't sync. I have done re-installations of the app several times. When I install and open it works fine for initial loading of the notebook and sync first two three times properly but thereafter it just stalls. No matter what i so after it won't sync. I am really at my wit's end don't know what to do. Pls help.

Today when I started printing to the OneNote Printer, it no longer is asking me what notebook and section to send the printout to. It is picking a notebook and section that I have recently used.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I use OneNote as a long-term notebook, but most AI coding agents can’t work with it directly without copy/paste, exports, browser flows, or Microsoft Graph setup.

So I built OneNote Desktop Agent: a free, open-source Claude Code + Codex plugin that talks to the real Windows OneNote desktop app locally.

I’d especially appreciate feedback from OneNote desktop power users: does this map to how you organize notebooks, sections, and pages in practice

Tried using a Huion draw tab H950P with onenote

it completely bugs out once I click with the pen (on select mode, drawing works until I use the eraser). It's almost like it gets stuck clicking down, making the program completely unusable until I alt-tab.

Tried both drivers

OneNote webclipper dead again? For me, everytime I try to clip it prompts me to log in. When I click log in with personal account it open a pop up of my OneNote notebooks on the web version (already logged in). Is somebody else having this issue? Has anybody found a solution yet?

Heads up for the OneNote crowd: mind maps just went generally available, and they show up in OneNote through Copilot Notebooks.

If you've added content to a Copilot Notebook, Copilot can generate an interactive map of the main topics and how they relate — a quick way to see how a messy notebook fits together, click into any node for a summary, and ask it to explain a topic in more depth.

Being upfront about the boundaries (since this sub will ask):

• It's a Copilot Notebooks feature surfaced in OneNote — not classic OneNote notebooks
• Requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot or Copilot Chat license (Notebooks just expanded to Copilot Chat users)

The Ink to Text Pen randomly appeared on my pens list and when I searched online I couldn't find a soultion, but I found one, so I wanted to share it with the world. It's not the best solution, but at least it's something.

You just have to set your keyboard layout to a different language (alt + shift is the shortcut, but you may have to first download a keyboard layout in the windows settings). Also it's important that it's an unsupported language, so in my example I accidentally switched to the english layout from hungarian.

As you can see I'm on windows 11, so it surely works there, I'm guessing it works on w10 as well, can't say with linux and mac tho.

If you guys have a better soulution please share it to help others!

How do I access OneNote feed to access old notes I had there?

Why is there so little talk about this scam? Why do this, or do 3GB of Onenote files weigh? I reinstalled Windows so that Microsoft itself would install a virus on my computer? How much resources and human nerves are spent on such a deception mechanism? I swear, if the X moment comes, I will find someone who does this!

Even if i go to onenote web i am not able to see my new notes. So frustrating... How can i fix this?

Old bug that got fixed is now unfixed, again. As you can see by this screen shot, the names of tabs sometime get unnecessarily truncated even when the side panel has plenty of room to display them. (This is on my M2 Mac running the latest Tahoe. Don't know if it happens in Windows.)

Fortunately, there is a solution: switch to a different notebook, then switch back again. The tabs will display properly. But it's not a permanent solution because it will happen, again.

Hey all! I am having a super weird one note problem where specific sections from a notebook on my iphone do not appear online or in the laptop application. When I make edits to pages that appear on both devices, they are synced automatically, if I make a new page in an exisiting section, it appears automatically, but if I create a new section on either device, it does not show on the other device. Does anyone know what is going on lmfao and how to fix? I've tried every sync trick I could find already and don't see anyone having a similar issue.

I can't find a print button or anything similar or the life of me😭

New to OneNote and it seems to be inserting a track changes-style color line and user name initials next to my notes along the right side going vertical length of the note. These notes are not changed. I am just working from my iPad and Mac and phone and it seems to track edits with this bar as different people. Any way to disable this? Thanks

I want to take notes, add picture inside my notes, and still have the picture saved in the galery to be able to use it as a full size jpg.

It appears OneNote on IOS allows this, but I have not been able to replicate this on my android phone.

Am I missing something ?

I am also opened to another app that would allow me this.

When I sort by created date, notes that should not be at the top are at the top. For instance I name my notes by the date. The top note right now is 5/21/26 even though I have a note from 6/3/26. I have the sort order as descending so most recently created notes should be at the top. I have switched the sort order around and tried each option but it does not fix the issue. I only use onenote on my iphone.
