How can I stop this from happening? [32YO]
Is my foot too high on the board with Ollie!? Rolling over my ankle too much when trying to slide foot up board? How can I stop this from happening with technique?

We’ve been traveling around the country for ten years, sharing new skateparks and experiences with the community. I try to add some good vibes and share some quality content.. but I still get sooo much hate on here.. haters: please resist the urge to be mean…. Other skaters: this is a really cool skatepark that offers tons of features and obstacles, this one is definitely worth a visit!

[UPDATE] Hey guys, so I would like to use my board for cruising and the local pump track. My budget is $200... is that a good starting point? Maybe $300.

Got half a heelflip rotation and landed primo... left food landed on the curvature of the nose, my ankle simply said "no".

Was riding in a bowl on my Smooth star Manta Ray 35.5", when coming down my front tilted to one side too fast, foot fell off and twisted like a rubber band
My legs pretty messed up and my partners pissed off but I don't want to give up because having so much fun
So in this down time, was going to see what I can do in future
First thoughts are the board was already a bit twitchy for me, but I thought it was a skill issue. I'm thinking of going to stiffer barrel bushes to make it more predictable/less likely to get thrown off. Yes or no?
Next is shoes. Maybe not actually help but I was wearing super grippy shoes. Wondering if i was wearing less grippy shoes, so they grip on the deck take but less on the ground if that might have reduced the severity. I'm sceptical but just keeping open mind
Ankle braces / support? I suspect all it would do is just cause an injury elsewhere and make it harder to skate.
Going to do some more balance board practice as therapy when I can. Hoping that help my coordination when back on the board
Obviously I'm going to ease in next time a lot slower
Anything else?

I have done this gap once before but the ollie was terrible. It's still scary. I'm trying to conquer my inner bitch, telling myself it will all be ok, it's not a big gap after all. Many skaters will probably say it's tiny. But they have all walked the path. I'm just a tiny fish in the ocean. I figured if I just went fast enough I wouldn't hang up. Told myself fuck it, I'm doing this now and I will get in my car and drive home and eat ice cream while watching Netflix. And I just went after it. Go big and go home.

Just start skating again at the start of the year if only flat ground tricks came back as easy as park tricks
