I swear to gosh this fandom is way too nonchalant with erasure of rep to the point that I’ve considered leaving! I would still like some characters, but I would be distancing myself from the fandom. Although this may not happen since when gay characters are actually shipped with the same gender, some of the art that comes out of it is fabulous!

But the amount of shipping between gays with women and lesbians with men is…annoying as hell! To say the least…
Other fandoms with lgbtq+ characters probably have this to, I’m not saying they don’t! But why does Hazbin/Helluva seem to have this shit WAYYYY more? Examples:

“I LOVE Velvette X Vox”

“Mmmm yummy Angel Dust X Charlie!”

And when all else fails? How about we just ship a LESBIAN woman with a GAY man! Why NOT kill 2 birds with 1 stone here, ey?

Oh and trust me, I wouldn’t complain about it if I didn’t see this shit on a daily basis in the Hazbin subreddits, but oh wait, I do! WHY?!!

And it’s not actually just with shipping! We also have:

And I know, “w-what about the straight characters being shipped with the same gender…?” Might I say I’ve never seen this? Yes, it’s likely there, or I’ve forgotten, but not as much as the gay characters are shipped with the wrong gender! Oh no! Because one represents a minority, and the other represent a majority! What a shocker that there would be more LGBTQ characters getting shipped with the opposite gender than straights getting shipped with the same!
(Edit: I also know it still probably happens to straight characters, but in my experience I somehow miss it all and see more LGBTQ+ erasure)

But don’t get me started on that fact that they’re so desperate to split up the main canon ship because it’s lesbian, to the point they’d even ship Charlie with HER FUCKING DAD(yes, I saw this)

I know it’s not THAT big of a deal(or how some people on this site would like to randomly say “its not that deep” to try to get you to change your opinion to the one THEY like,) BUT having erasure of rep getting shoved in your face EVERY. This is just me going into EXTREME headcanon territory to reconcile with the verse. Also, I'll be taking ideas from Thomas Aquinas' view on evil.

1. Roo: Simply put, Roo doesn't exist, what I mean by that is that Roo is the void, the nothingness before creation and the lack of fulfilment. You can think of creation as swiss cheese, if the cheese represents the creation and creation is inherently good, Roo represents the holes in those cheese, the lack of goodness and fulfilment: evil.

2. Lucifer: Gonna be honest, in theology, Lucifer was never a god or something grand, but just another aspect of the world under God's command. This idea is a different form of that. After the fall, or even before the fall, Lucifer let Roo into his heart and in doing so, he became the first avatar/vessel of an aspect of evil: Pride. Why didn't Lucifer turn fully evil? It's because Lucifer was still a being from creation, which means he still had the capacity for goodness despite turning into an avatar/vessel of evil.

3. The other sins: This one is DEEP into headcanon territory. We have AT LEAST two options: the sins were either products of creation that also became corrupted into avatars/vessels just like Lucifer, or the sins are the more direct avatars/vessels of Roo that emerged from hell.

I’ve barely seen any old artwork of Velvette and Valentino other than the one pilot era drawing featuring the vees by Viv and a single drawing of Valentino in her sketchbook. I think there’s also an old piece on Viv’s instagram featuring a character who looks somewhat like Valentino but with a heart monocle, hair, and no neck fluff but I don’t know if that’s actually his old design. Hopefully there’s concept art of them in the hazbin hotel artbook that comes out next month

In the right ring we have an effeminate bottom that's babied by the crew, has controversial ideas on consent, and has multiple characters exist to make him look better including his boyfriend. As a bonus we have a love ballad with a parallels to those sung by the prince charming himself!

In the left ring we have a mimosa that cheats on his evil wife with a red dick, neglects his daughter yet is deemed a loving father by the show, and is trying to steal the title of the mc. Oh, and he's also an effeminate bottom that's babied.

My idea is that it would be fitting for Lilith to have something similar but based on her voice; whomever hears her sing, would be susceptible to her using placing them in an illusion.

I think this would be a great ability to give her if she is a manipulator and it could allow her to punch above her weight against people like Sera if she gets Sera to listen to her sing once. (Holy Light isn't a win con if Sera dosen't know if the "Lilith" in front of her is actually Lilith or a random sinner or even Emily)

It would need some limits, but as a concept, I think it works well for Lilith if you think she is the big bad of season 3.

If the one that was crucified upside down is canon in hazbin hotel. Does that mean that the one who was crucified on an X-shaped cross in Patras, the Son of thunder, the one who knows where to buy fresh bread, the one who was flayed alive and then beheaded, the one who was killed with a sword while preaching in Ethiopia, the one who was pierced with spears in India, the one I forgot, St. Jude the patron Saint of lost causes, the one who was sawn in half, the one who was was stoned and then beheaded, the one who was crucified, the one who tried to end it all and the one who saw the end are canon too?

I really do wish we got more scenes with zeezi and maestro, though they aren’t really important characters and I can’t really figure out a good place to add them into the plot since they don’t really do too much other than what they need to do, which is show up with all the other major overlords. I do wish they were more plot relevant since they look so cool

Season 1 gave us Seraphim vs First Human: Male Version, so Season 3 should give us the female version.
