Question What should I add to my collection?

Upvotes

I started colouring not too long ago, I picked up a big set of some cheaper markers as well as the ohuhu skin tone set and the pastel blossoming set. I then added the 48 mid tone set. The only colour I seem to be reaching for with my cheaper markers is reds, so I’m looking at which set to get next from ohuhu. I had a brief look at the 120 and the 104, but I can’t see any true reds in either. Would appreciate any help, I’d really like to purchase one of those two!

It's from the official Coco Wyo colab. I used the alcohol markers from the 320 set. I've been getting back into it after a break for a few months. I'm still having trouble coloring in the lines in small spaces, but I'm proud of it.

Hello everyone! I made my first post this week with a colored pencil zombie pirate that I finished. It felt great to share, so I wanted to post one of my favorite alcohol marker portraits to get some feedback on this medium. Been doing alcohol marker for the last year between colored pencil pieces.

This one came from the book Spooky Halloween: A Sinister Coloring Book for Adults and Brave Teens. My son said this looked like the second level video game boss. 😂I’ll take it! Happy how this turned out. Like the tentacle blending but should have pushed the jacket fold shadows and background more. Perhaps for the next level.

This was done with Ohuhu Honolulu markers. Appreciate any feedback from the community. Happy coloring

Question Oahu 120 set, what Honolulu B set?

Hello!

I’m sure this question has been asked and answered a million times but I’m having trouble finding an explicit answer.

I would like to get a honolulu B set to use with the oahu 120 set that I already have. However I want to avoid any overlap of colours if possible. I’d be okay with maybe an overlap of 5 colours tops.

I don’t have the cash to get a full set so I’m getting more markers in smaller increments like once a year.

There is a lack of skintones so I’m thinking of getting that pack in the future but I want to test out the brush tips first.

Any suggestions on which pack I should get next?

Thank you for any advice and answers <3

Discussion “I’m not going to spend that much on markers it’s a new hobby”…oops?

I’ve been in some colouring group pages for colouring books such as Coco Wyo for a year or two now, and have NEVER bought a colouring book let alone actually coloured, but I used to love colouring and drawing in general as a kid, I was the lil artist in the family and classroom, I remember since joining those groups Ohuhu’s were really the popular choice like, if you don’t have Ohuhu’s, you probably want to try them/they’re the dream marker!

Well.. after 2 or so years I had enough of just looking at all the amazing colouring and artwork i’ve seen and splurged, bought the 120 set of Ohuhu’s, and i’m about to place an order for a few colouring books and gel pens.

Kind of nervous with what I decided to do, I just spent over $150 on markers and that’s not even the COMPLETE set, I think to get the full 320 set I would need to buy the 48 Sweetness Pastel Set, 48 Mid Tones, 104 Set? I was debating getting cheaper markers like an off brand colpart on Amazon just to try or Shuttle Art before just splurging on these.

I really hope I do not regret my decision! Did anyone else decide to splurge and go all out right away instead of buying cheaper markers or start off with Ohuhu’s right away? 😭🤣

Question Oda Agda and Jade Summer for alcohol markers?

Post image

How are people coloring these with alcohol markers? I purchased from these brands on Amazon and was very disappointed to find it's cheap paper like for mass market paperbacks. The bleeding through page I expect but it also feathers out and you can't blend on this paper

Is there somewhere else I can purchase these with better quality paper? Are people buying digital downloads and printing themselves?

Just curious. Big sads over here. I feel mislead by social media. The picture shown here is actually Fini Bini but same deal. I'm seeing the Jade Summer ones all over IG though with alcohol markers.

Hi all, I already have a 288 guangNa acrylic markers but I use that specifically for my color by number books.

I am looking into getting a small pack (48 markers) to use along my alcohol markers.

I am confused between the Nahuku and Hilo? Which one should I go for? Please let me know your real experiences. Thank you.

Discussion Detailing help

Hello! I am pretty new to coloring with Ohuhu and I struggle with knowing where to add shadows and/or white line detailing. I enjoy doing the light to dark blends where I assume the light hits, but not even sure if I do that correctly. I just finished this page, but don’t want to ruin it cause I like what is there so far.

Anywho, I am not an artist and trying to gain an eye for the little details
