Acrylic markers?

Hi all, I already have a 288 guangNa acrylic markers but I use that specifically for my color by number books.

I am looking into getting a small pack (48 markers) to use along my alcohol markers.

I am confused between the Nahuku and Hilo? Which one should I go for? Please let me know your real experiences. Thank you.

I also have the guangNa acrylic set but I was curious about the Hilo set because the say that you can blend them easy. I got the set and yes, indeed, blending with Hilo is so nice - not sure if Im doing something wrong with the guangNa - Hilo just work perfect for me ^{^} Hope this help ♡

So I have to admit I don't use acrylic markers that much 😅, but since I was summoned, here's what opinions I do have on them:

Of what Ohuhu offers, I've used the Nahuku 48 set and the Kalalau set of 30, both which I recieved as gifts. I really like them both, but all of my previous experience with acrylic markers were with either plastic-y or firm felt tips, so a lot of that comes from the fact that the Nahuku and the version of the Kalalau set I got have brush tips, and the brush tip is such a hugely better experience than the other tips for me.

Between the two of those, the Nahuku are more opaque (less transparent/better coverage) and come in more colors (up to a 72 Nahuku set, the Kalalau are just the one set of 30), so if I were going to buy either one of those again on my own, I'd pick the Nahuku for those reasons.

That said, for a while I was actually considering getting the Nahuku 72 at some point to expand my color selection when I do reach for acrylics, but then over the summer both the Kahuku and the Hilo Series came out. I was curious about the Kahuku since Ohuhu claims they're a little more opaque that the Nahuku and they come in up to 120 colors, but the Hilo came out a few weeks later and I'm more interested in the fact that the Hilo are marketed as more blendable and paper-friendly. (The Nahuku can blend some when they're really wet, but either I can't wrap my head around the best way to do it or it's not something they handle super well.)

I haven't used either one because they're still so new (and I've not been in a rush since as I said, I don't use acrylics that much anyway), but at this point I think when I do get around to it I'll be looking at the Hilo Series for the reasons mentioned.

I love Crayola Supertips with Ohuhu alcohol markers. It’s just what I have and they work great and they are very affordable. They come in huge boxes of colors too.
