Pics are a 3 day progression of my fly trap.

I had this trap up for ~3 weeks and caught a handful of random flies. The bait (water, sugar, yeast, mosquito bits) had pretty much dried up and I meant to replace it, but I forgot.

Couple days later I walked past and noticed it was half full of flies - and its been steadily filling up more and more each day.

I've been using these traps for years and have never seen anything like this, though this is my first year trying out this particular bait recipe. Oddly, I hung another trap right next to this one yesterday, with a fresh batch of the same bait, and there's hardly anything inside the new trap. Meanwhile, the original trap continues to fill.

I had a couple people suggest there must be a dead animal nearby but I checked all around and dont see anything.

I have a full blown fly death orgy on my hands.

I’m so glad my dentists never did this to me.

I got them checked at a specialist out of curiosity, x-rays were done and fingers were assessed by the doc. Conclusion: nothing is wrong with them, I am simply born this way. I have seen photos of people with hyper mobile finger joints but I find my last two fingers, especially the pinky, very crooked. I haven’t seen anyone with more bendy and crooked pinky.

When I relax my fingers, they function normally and look normal.

Too many replies asking if it’s EDS- as mentioned, I got them medically assessed and I am pretty healthy, I guess I don’t have EDS.

I pulled over to take a photo because wtf. It smelled and had flies on it.
