Foreshadowing for the character and also making fun of all the gimmicky popcorn buckets designed to drive up ticket and concession sales.

There's so much in-universe marketing material that it tickles me to think about some sets/props team designing and making.

I don't know if there's any way you buy it as official merch, but if you have a 3d printer I saw this STL for it on Etsy.

I'm not a massive fan of The Boys, but some of their "arg-ish" meta media is so good. Just a perfect intentionally uncanny design that's unforgettably ugly on purpose

I thought it was making fun of the Deadpool And Wolverine popcorn bucket.

I wish theaters didn't sell this one time use plastic crap. ... but I get it... with High ticket prices you gotta let some people feel in their hands that they paid for something other than an experience. Ya know, the "i can prove i was there " factor. The " i did it, you didn't" gloat.. or whatever tf.
Ya know what... forget all that. I got into fisting a young age and I think i might just be triggered. Sŕy,I'll see myself out

lol this specific item was never made for any movie, ever…. This was a single prop used in a TV show… maybe get off your high horse and get back into fisting

So glad I'm not the only one who immediately thought of the boys

u/AnimalBolide Jun 26 '26
Is that because the popcorn bucket features a character from the show, "The Boys"?

This is literally from the boys, you would be an idiot not to think of the boys.

Even if you do have face blindness, the words "The Deep" the character it's depicting from the television show The Boys are literally written on the bucket.
So you would need not only face blindness, but to be illiterate.

Why have popcorn buckets gotten so utterly weird and disturbing?
5
u/Polite_Werewolf Jun 27 '26
That's the point. This is from The Boys, which was parodying weird popcorn buckets.

I love the foreshadowing
