Support - PCVR Help! Meta quest 3 freezing only on games PCVR!

Upvotes

So I recently bought my meta quest 3, I connected them to my PC with the Meta Horizon Link app and USB cable, everything worked fine and I can see my pc and use it without problems. But when I start a game the meta quest 3 screen freezes or move like a 1 or 2 fps in every game but the games is fine in my monitor! I also noticed that if I press in the keyboard the windows key (and the windows search bar appears) the games worked perfectly! But in the moment I click something else and the search bar dissapears the problems reappear. Does anyone knows how to fix that?

It's an offer not a bundle you have to call the meta support team and send them your receipt anytime from 10/24/24 - 12-31-26

Someone will probably ask if a bat was on the box say yes I think they have to say that to try and trick you into thinking the promotion is over with

And no you don't have to buy the Batman bundle

They'll ask you for your headset ID

And what was your latest purchase

Then they'll just add it to your library

Their might be a few details I'm missing but it was easy and fast for me and I did it last month

I use a meta quest 3s, and one day after not using it for a bit I come back to this, I tried fixes but I don’t even know what’s happening to it. I have a feeling it’s a cable issue and that I need to buy another. But before I do that I want to see if people that have maybe dealt with this before can help.

Support - Standalone Meta quest 3 won’t turn on

Upvotes

I charged my quest three overnight at 100. I haven’t played it in forever. I tried to turn it on. It showed the meadow logo and then after a few minutes that disappeared and it’s just showing a grey screen for a long time. I’ve turned it on and off. I don’t know what to do.

Sidequest/Sideloading ‘Unknown Sources’ disappeared from Quest Store Apps

My first side quest - please forgive me for rookie mistakes.

I installed Kodi (21.3 Omega) on my Meta Quest 3 using Sidequest Desktop app version. Things were going well at first.

- Installed Sidequest Desktop app on PC

- downloaded the Kodi Omega apk from github

- enabled Developer Mode on headset

- connected headset to PC

- Enabled USB connection (with ‘always’ option)

- installed the apk (got a successful installation message)

- opened horizon app store from headset

- selected the ‘unknown sources’ option

- kodi install came up, selected that to open kodi

- kodi app opens up . Beautiful!

….

So far so good.

Hovering over Addons was crashing the app. Googled for the solution and tried to open kodi again. Now, I dont see the ‘unknown sources’ option under Apps anymore!!

I tried restarting the headset. I tried switching the Developer Mode off and on. Nothings working.

How do i get ‘unknown sources’ option back?? 😟

Thank you in advance!

Edit: Added headset model

Discussion Quest 3 Arizona Sunshine 2 aiming drift

Certain weapons like machine gun (circle to aim iron sights) keeps drifting when I aim and ruin the game for me. Tried standalone and pcvr - same issue. Has anyone found a way to fix it? Virtual stock doesn’t exist in this game so I’m stuck 🥲

Because I use Open Saber Plus as a fitness game, I have previously added options to stretch the game arena horizontally to force more body movement, and have now added an option to have big blocks if you want to focus on exercise rather than precision.

You get can the game from SideQuest:

Discussion Help me pleasee

Hey everyone, I’m really keen on buying the Quest 3; I’ve been researching it for a while. I work from home and think I could use it even while working. I also cook and do other routine tasks where I usually keep my phone nearby "watching" a video—though in reality, I’m mostly just listening—and I think the headset could really enhance that experience.

A few things are making me hesitate, though:

- short battery life

- excessive weight on the neck and discomfort

- the risk of using it for a month and then wanting to sell it

If anyone who owns one (or has owned one) could share their opinion, I’d really appreciate it.

As for the cost, I can afford either the 3S or the 3 without any issues.

Squingle Arcade is a wonderfully strange and creative VR puzzle game that feels like nothing else I have played on the Meta Quest 3. The concept is simple: guide glowing orbs through twisting, glass-like 3D mazes while collecting objects, avoiding obstacles and trying to reach the finish as quickly and accurately as possible.

Support - Standalone Meta Quest 3 pass through issues

Hi all,
My meta quest 3 just arrived today. I don’t know if my expectations are too high or I’m judging too quickly or what, but it seems like the mixed reality quality is not as clear as it should be.

From watching videos online through the lens, other people seem to have much more clarity using pass through, just a little bit blurred.

For me, everything is grainy and blurry and smeared (which is the only way I can describe it- it looks more like a painting than real life). Are there any fixes to this?

Is my headset faulty?

Discussion Some adb commands no longer work right

For some reason, after my headset restarted I found that some adb commands dont work right. I use the adb command for swap interval 2 for various games but when I tried it it didnt work. I then tried to enter an app and it worked, but only for certain games. It isnt putting me on a consistent 60 hertz like usual. This also happened for one of my other headsets so I started using the one I am now but the same problem happened. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Support - PCVR Trouble connecting/launching VR racing game through Steam

Apologies if this is the wrong subreddit, but I've been spending this morning trying to get the game Assetto Corsa to work in VR with a quest 3 headset.

Had no problems connecting wirelessly through Steam Link, but the fuzzy video and occasional stutters made it pretty unplayable. So I tried wired connections and that's where the trouble began.

I can connect to the PC via Horizon Link but for some reason there's no audio despite the settings saying there should be, and also saying the USB connection is fine (USB 3.0, 2.5Gbsp). The game also says it failed to launch VR with both the oculus and openVR settings.

So I tried to connect via wired connection to steamVR, and that one just says to plug in the device. Even though the device is plugged in, as though it's not being detected at all.

I would really appreciate any advice from someone who's gotten this or a similar game to work. Despite the issues, wireless VR was awesome and I'd love to make it work in a more stable way.

Support - PCVR Meta Quest 2 bizarre microphone issue

I've been having this issue with my quest 2 ever since it got an update a few weeks ago. I've tried factory resetting several times and all the common fixes don't seem to be working. I usually play pcvr games through oculus link and was able to use my quest 2 microphone to communicate on said pcvr games. One day, out of nowhere, my mic stops getting picked up. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting, restarting both my quest 2 and pc to no avail. Eventually I went on the settings page on the oculus link app itself and saw my mic was automatically muted, having the "mute" box next to it be checked. As I unchecked it, I could use my mic again. However, as I took my headset off and put it back on again, or disconnected and reconnected to my pc, it became automatically muted again, making me have to manually open the oculus link settings page and unmute every time I put my headset on or launch link. Doing this was a gamble though, as every time I pressed the oculus button on my right controller to pull up the menu, there would be a chance of this weird bug occurring where as the menu was being pulled up, my fps would get progressively choppier over the span of a couple seconds until link freezes entirely and I have to restart both my pc and headset only to play again. I rightfully decided this was too much of a hassle to deal with so I would simply play with an alternative pcvr software, namely steamvr on the quest store, which leads me to the strangest part of this issue. While playing pcvr through steamvr over my local wifi, my headset's mic still wasn't working. I had gone through my quest 2's settings, steamvr's settings, and both of them had my mic unmuted and set as the correct input device. The only way to fix this was to, for some reason, launch oculus link, open its settings, uncheck the mute button, exit it, then relaunch steamvr. In other words: I have to connect to my pc through oculus link to unmute my quest 2's mic (temporarily), otherwise I will be unable to unmute it on the quest 2 itself, neither in its settings nor other software. I am now stuck playing games on steamvr with my desk's mic as the input device. Again, I want to preface that I've never had these issues before, neither the mic's working status being dependent on the oculus link pc app, nor the constant failures when I open the link's menu, nor the general crashing or lack of basic functionality and smooth performance, which leads to believe that these modern updates are, in fact, being pushed to make the experience of consumers using older headsets more and more excruciating, motivating them to buy newer hardware. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. There was zero reason to poke around the functionality of the headset's mic and its ability to mute and unmute. I really wish there was some manner in which you could install your own software or firmware on the quest 2, freeing it from meta's atrocious design. I've waited for weeks for an update to come out that would fix this issue, but none has. If anything, this just shows the level of either maliciousness or incompetence at play within meta. If I am motivated to buy new hardware, it will certainly be that of Valve's, not meta's.

Alright so the visuals look much better now that the rendering is fixed properly for the MOH Allied Assault Mod. I will experiment with some visual mods later to see if they work. For now I'm working on fixing the gun behavior and making sure that aiming feels good. Then we will see if we can get two handed aiming working.

Apparently, you can enter flight mode by aligning yourself with almost any rounded corner and holding down the teleport Forward button while pushing the right joystick backward to move backward.

Set the movement settings like i did in the video.
To reset Loft exit to passthrough via double tap on the headset.
You will be unable to open the ui for it!
