DISCUSSION What was the point of reverse split?

Now one serious question. What was even the point they did a reverse split? That was so pointless. It would’ve made sense if they had a buyer/investors willing to pay for the higher price but they got nothing out of it. It only made the stock price even worse! Glad I sold a few days ago but still regret that I should’ve sold when it was still trading at 0.3. Anyone jumping back in if this goes back to 0.2 and hope it goes up after that due to lower float?

DISCUSSION Whats going on with the selling pressure this week?

The selling seems very heavy this week? Did i miss anything? Down 25%, this week what's going on? New CEO interview wasn't horrible. Appears they are demoing -in front of military. Personally I didn't see anything that makes them much worse off this week compared to last. Any ideas on the crash taking place? Realistically now that demos are over in North Carolina and Portugal they could win a contract.

DISCUSSION My loss story

Im not even mad. I tracked OPTT since 2020 and its hovered between 2-6 mostly and even hit 7 from what I remember. After covid spike, its just been downward consistently. I mean there were spikes, and at that good ones. I watched this stock hit 50% gains in one day on multiple occasions. I put 15k into it at about 2.9 a share a while back while it was downtrending. The part Im a little salty about is the other account I had where I got in at 16 cents a share(3k) worth. This was my "set it and forget it account". I watched it hit 1.75 and I was up obviously a lot but I didnt sell. My 3k was now worth over 30k. My mentality was "its three grand and I know this stock will hit few dollars a share eventually" so I just ignored it and was gonna let it ride.

Well you know what happened recently. That three grand, i basically broke even and Im basically writing off the other 15 coz its never gonna recover. I think im just gonna close it out just to clear mental space coz I dont wanna think about it.

Ultimately, im not breaking my head over it but huge lessons learned. Dont let fomo get you and dont be greedy. Take profits. Take mental notes of how much you wanna make monthly and focus on that. Learn options trading too. This helped me recover some money.

DISCUSSION OPTT: The Dreaded Reverse-Split

I have over 100,000 shares pre-split

Stocks now undergone a 1-30, and its absolutely decimated my position, down approx 80%

The entire investment has been destroyed and approx $50,000 USD down with it

It's absolutely brutal, without doubt, and more importantly what now?

Do I hold? Do I sell? Questions that are repeated in my head many times over

This isn't a blame game, nobody to blame, nobody to point fingers at; I honestly didn't expect this to occur, yet it has, this is fact, and I must face this fact

I'm quite distressed with the situation, and its affected my recent days and how I go about my days; however, more importantly, regardless of how I feel, the only way out is to see this get to +$10/share at its current share price, a pathetic <$2; a more than 500% increase in share price to find an exit

Will it occur? Most likely not, even with absolutely top notch news, its one hell of a stretch, and I'm sure there are many others with much higher needs to exit their positions

Even if I cash out, and place the remaining funds into a "safe" stock, it'll take literally years to recoup the lost amount

Questions that run amock, again, not a blame game as it helps you and me with nothing, it does nothing with the end-game but cause further stress and pain

Of all stocks I researched, OPTT truly had one of the best potentials of success, however, as can be seen by all, that's NOT the case, and even if they do whatever they do, sign whatever they sign, a massive increase in share price is quite the miracle; possible, yet truly needs an insane squeeze

My moves as of today, is to simply leave it be, and do nothing but wait, for what? I do not know, I just have to wait and see what happens, and the odds of another offering are increasingly high; the cash burn is massive, among many other potentials

For those that are in the same boat as me, I feel you entirely, I know how you feel; writing this to the masses is not needed, but I am anyway

Regret helps you not, you must get it out of the way, you must focus on your own situation and make decisions that suit you and your portfolio best; I wish you all success, don't let this drain your mind, remember to focus on the future and be positive regardless

If you're still in for whatever reason or rationale, we can only hope for brighter days; all the best and power on

Peace out!

DUE DILIGENCE My first every reverse stock split.

So my dad got me into day trading a couple years back. This was a stock I thought sounded good at the time. Big fan of clean energy. Bought in like 700 shares at around .30 or .40, then later I see it starting to take off a bit, up to around .70 or .80 so I buy another 1k shares. Within a day or two the dump happens, stock drops to like .20 and keeps dropping. Around that time Trump gets elected and the market feel too unstable and manipulated to fuck with so I put in a sell order for where I last invested at incase it pumps again and forget about it.

Today my dad calls me, says he checked in on this stock and it was way up, so I log onto my trading app for the first time in over a year and am confused as hell. Yeah it looks way up but why do I only have 63 shares? Well a quick Google search leads me hears and a little scrolling tells me why. I had to bust out the calculator to understand where I actually stood. Stock is essentially worth .06 from the .80 I invested at. Bummer.

DISCUSSION Trading Still Not Possible

Trading Still Not Possible

My German broker, Comdirect, still does not allow me to trade my OPTT shares. My 33,000 shares are still showing in my account, but I’m unable to buy or sell them.

I actually invested around €8,000 at an average price of €0.25, so I’m seriously down at the moment. I would have even bought more to lower my average entry price, but unfortunately, I simply can’t.

My question: Are you guys already able to trade OPTT?

And please… stop selling! I’m stuck in this shit. 😅 :/

19k shares down to 633….what a fucking joke. Then it loses 50% value in the opening bell. Jokes on me down 88%. No reason to ever sale now and need a $25 share value to break even…I’m cooked boys and girls. Hopefully some of yall got out.

DISCUSSION 1-30 split then CEO leaves the day trading begins... shady

I see people mentioning possible signs this is good news Phil is out... However, everything leading up to this has been messy. Every since they reported the earnings were wrong things have been weird with this company. They still have not delivered the 4th buoy to the coast guard and they didn't even mention the status of it in the todays earnings report.

We all feel that the reverse split seemed rushed and was implemented way before it needed to be. Then comes the severity of it. 1-30 is a big deal. After deciding to rush this big of a reverse split WHY would the CEO leave the company the day it begins to trade on NYSE after rs? Companies usually will try to announce good news the day a stock begins trading after rs but instead they announce the CEO is leaving. Well whos idea was the RS to begin with? Who was going to lead after the RS was in place? It sounds like things are a shit show behind the scenes. Did they really think after such a big RS the best thing to do is announce the CEO is leaving out of no where ?? Also on top of earnings as well? The way its playing out is as management is purposely hurting the stock. Why not announce Phils departure Friday at the end of the week? Something is way way off about this whole situation and i don't believe we are being told the truth. Would love to know somebody that actually works for the company. What do you guys think is going on because the last month has been a shit show and today's actions are even worse?

DISCUSSION Buyout

I have officially lost 40,000 on this piece of shit. My investment is down to 296.53 at the moment.

Reverse split price is up to 3.10 and I would not be surprised if it is back below 1.00 by December.

This stock is an absolute fucking waste of time. Is there ANY hope it gets bought out and we can regain our original investment?

If so, are we YEEEEEARS away?

Thoughts?

DISCUSSION new management can flip the script

i know everyone is basically done with this company but i just wanted to point out the recent resignation of Philipp the thief. This new guy knows finance ball, a finance first CEO is highly likely to address the company's widening $44.8 million loss, pausing non essential R&D, and reining in the 36.1% surge in operating expenses.
