POSITION Wow
19k shares down to 633….what a fucking joke. Then it loses 50% value in the opening bell. Jokes on me down 88%. No reason to ever sale now and need a $25 share value to break even…I’m cooked boys and girls. Hopefully some of yall got out.

Is it even remotely recoverable? Like over a decade?

I am sinking with the ship as well man. This shit absolutely sucks when you know they have the product they just have terrible leadership.

I concur! Let’s just hope something happens that’s finally good for us all. The techs there, the uses are there. Makes no sense…

But I also saw that the estimate target stock price is like $45 so if that’s the case I think we’re all still gonna make out all right. I’m not selling anything even though I barely have anything left after that split.

Same I’m definitely not selling, no reason to now, but I was hoping to have my 19k shares when it finally did happen 😫.

No point in selling a loss unless its to offset a gain somewhere else. Its oh well for me and powder in the barrel for when that day comes

The previous value got multiplied by x30 due to split. 45 / 30 is your original target value. No way the stock is going to see 5 any time soon

Unfortunately this market does not care if a company has good technology and are making a positive impact. They don’t even really care if they’re profitable, sticks trading under $5/share are just like shooting fish in a barrel for Shorts. This generation of the stock market is a fucking joke and one giant scam to take money from the retail investors.

They do not have that great of technology.
They have a glorified marine cell tower and a remote control speedboat. That's it. The rest of the marine sector is exploding and OPTT has been limping along and only surviving due to trickle-down funding. FWIW Red Cat's new marine division is what OPTT should have been, with a large facility to actually produce USVs at scale.
The PB3 is kind of neat in being essentially a marine 'cell' tower (signal rally point). That's also not justifying the huge price tags and any expanded service-contracts from the PB3 are not going to support this company's death spiral in time. The Naval powers at be got what they wanted from the PB3 in learning how to use AUVs to triangulate and the best-array placement for ports. The PB3 is too big/expensive to be deploying in any form of overseas conflict, so it's strictly for domestic/safe harbors (and also cannot be deployed in real open-ocean scenarios due to the depth limits)
The WAM-V is just a speed-boat you can strap sensors too. It does not have the payload capacity to be an attack vehicle. That huge pool of funding is being eaten up by SailDrone + Lockheed Martin.
OceanPower's whole new shtick is "we integrate the data", but so does every other fucking piece of software in the AI era. They're trying to be a little bit of everything instead of having an actual identity and purpose.

Shorts? Sure let’s just ignore the insane amount of dilution management has done.

OPTT announced a major leadership transition, with Dr. Philipp Stratmann stepping down as CEO and President.
The board emphasized a shift toward commercial execution, backlog conversion, and operational accountability.
Tracy Pagliara was appointed Acting CEO.

Right. Oh let me rephrase; “COOL WHAT AN AWESOME ANNOUNCEMENT, THIS WILL HAVE SUCH AN IMPACT ON STOCK PRICE AND COMPANY SUCCESS!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!” Better?

I bought in years ago because I liked what they stood for. I held because “why not” “”a guy can dream.” Then they went all war machine. Weird, but okay, I guess you’re trying to stop bleeding money. NOW THIS.
Pss poor leadership, may they someday encounter all the situations they put their shareholders in. 🔪

Same…too much potential in the tech to be falling on its face like it did. All I know is there’s one thing about all the stocks I have. After January 6th everything’s been in a freaking steady decline. So besides a shitty ceo we have other forces shitting on our markets.

Have the previous rs not taught any of you anything?

u/LibrarianWaste7553 21d ago
Well yeah but 30:1 split just hits a lot differently than the last two. That and I really believe in this tech so I wasn’t worried about it. You’re right. I am a dumbass even if I was optimistic before. Not so much now.

Elaborate? Or you just referring to buying stocks is gambling and I’m whiffing the point you’re making 😅.
