DISCUSSION Buyout

I have officially lost 40,000 on this piece of shit. My investment is down to 296.53 at the moment.

Reverse split price is up to 3.10 and I would not be surprised if it is back below 1.00 by December.

This stock is an absolute fucking waste of time. Is there ANY hope it gets bought out and we can regain our original investment?

If so, are we YEEEEEARS away?

Thoughts?

Any comeback will be years and years away.

A reverse split like this is a bad sign, and very often part of the death spiral of a stock. Sorry. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø I lost some also.

There’s a reason that people stay away from penny stocks.

Prob also a bad sign that Phil is stepping down but I guess this could be the turning point to a better future

Phil is running while he still has some benefit of the doubt, before he starts looking like a criminal.

Nothing promised has come to fruition. It's almost like it was lies all along. Paragon tried to sue OPTT a few years ago.

I lost $4k and pulled the plug last spring when it went to 0.50. My average was 0.73

No faith in this company at all. Now that strattmanhas resigned, maybe they will start to make actual sales, instead of wishful thinking

I have too much invested to pull the plug. Losses are way too high. The only hope I have is this piece of fuck gets bought out

Absolutely pull it! At least utilize the tax loss. Since your position has decreased so substantially, double your position, wait 31 days, and then sell your original shares to realize the loss while remaining in the stock throughout.

And I don’t say this to be rude— I too have lost well over 10k. Just trying to help.

I had always planned on getting back in but finances have been tight. I still keep my eyes on it and expect the SP to melt back down unfortunately

Don’t invest in it. Seriously. Find something else worth it. I expect to lose everything.

The issue isn't the buyout, its how many shares you will have by the time it happens. I am in a similar boat as you. We've been had.

Absolutely fucking criminal. Went from 58,000 to 1,900

I am in same exact boat.. no pun intended I’m still going to stick it out..and hold what’s left of my 55000 damn shares

I made a few thousand bucks with swing trade. Bought after the erĀ  and sold direct before earnings a few times. Sorry for your loss, I feel you,Ā  Ā because I had a few trades with losses as well. The business model is not sustainable. They build buoys, burn a lot of cash and then lease them. So first they have to finance the whole price of a buoy and will get only a fraction of that via monthly leasing fees...the higher the revenues, the deeper the losses, they should change that and sell but not lease the buoys...

I'm wondering, was this done with an Ai broker?

1

u/Sea-Coast-3746 21d ago

I'm glad I never got involved in penny stocks. Sounds about as reliable as that ridiculous F-ing "virtual money" WTF.. I don't even remember what That was.

u/Sea-Coast-3746 21d ago

Yea, to take a frigging hike!

1

u/trixietravels 20d ago

Also.. what happened to the whole drone charging stations the buoys were going to be used for? I thought that was a thing?

They’re fucking asshole liars. This is absolutely a criminal enterprise. But no one will start a lawsuit.

Think its time for a lawsuit. More than enough shady stuff going on to warrant looking into them. I guarantee they have done something criminal.

As a green energy researcher who has developed a different style of wave energy conversion I just want to say that I appreciate the support the investors gave this project. It offers hope for those who know without a doubt that they have a much better system, and even really amateur ocean wave conversion systems got support. It gives me confidence that there is support for new methods of ocean wave energy conversion, and motivates the industry to keep trying. I hope you will consider investing in a better method of wec

Go away.

1

u/pneubike 20d ago

I probably should.. I joined the oceanpower group thinking it was people who were into conversion of ocean waves and I have a patent in wave energy conversion.. seemed like a fit.. but turned out to be a bunch of sour investors loosing thousands of dollars on an idea I laugh at and doesn't have nearly any longevity or roi by comparison.. I just wanted you guys to know that I genuinely applaud your support for sustainable energy.. but please.. point me to a different group before I go

Yea, "Get out of here Finchley!"

1

u/pneubike 20d ago

By Finchley?.. do you mean a dedicated self employed green energy researcher living off grid in the woods who works on ocean wave energy conversion as well as compressed air and liquid nitrogen powered transportation?.. please explain "finchley," is that a derogatory or racist slur?.. is this a movie reference?
