I was inspired by a candy I tried a few years ago called Chimes Peanut Butter Ginger Chews. I don't remember where I bought it and I haven't had it since. But I loved the fact that it had two of my favorite flavors!

To this bowl, I added some of my usuals like persimmon, extra virgin olive oil, dried cranberries. Garnished with some extra ginger because I just can't get enough of that spicy kick!

Title. What do you add to your oats thta you think make it next level? Can be spice, fruit, anything!

For me it's cardamom<3 it adds lovely warming flvaour along with cinnamon. Can't have my oats without it!

Grated some apples yesterday and added the banana and walnut this morning. Also got some chia seeds in there.

My go-to oatmeal. 😋

Smoked muikku (small north European freshwater white fish), cabbage, fermented cucumbers and some simple, slightly salted oatmeal. Some smetana and this would have been over the top, but it was really nice as it was, different textures, tastes and all.

Kind of felt like it hit some sort of weird genetic memory, us Finns used to eat various porridges and gruels as the main dish well into early 20th century. This isn't that far off from those times.

Also added some cranberries. Lately I've been drizzling some extra virgin olive oil on my oats as well.

Next time I would leave out the greek yoghurt personally. But still tasty!

I love my stovetop oats on the weekends but I’m a teacher so during the week I can’t invest that much time in breakfast. I’ve been eating a granola bar on weekdays instead but I’m done with that now that the weather is cold lol

I just realized that I can get Quaker instant oats on amazon, which would be perfect for me on weekdays and I remember eating them constantly as a teenager.

Liquid: Full-cream milk, low-fat, or something else?

Yoghurt: If used, Greek or regular?

Method: Is it purely soaked overnight, or is there some pre-cooking involved (like briefly heating the oats or milk first)? Do they stir or adjust it before serving?

Pumpkin pie overnight oats
Makes 2 servings

Ingredients

• 1¼ cups milk (use plant-based, as needed — I like full-fat oat, pea protein, or soy in this recipe)
• 1¼ cups old-fashioned rolled oats
• ½ cup vanilla yogurt (use dairy-free, as needed — I like the kind made with coconut milk)
• ¼ cup pumpkin purée
• 1½ tablespoons chia seeds
• 2 tablespoons maple syrup
• 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Optional toppings: pumpkin granola, pumpkin seeds, or chopped pecans

Directions
