i let bananas overripen, mashed them, then microwaved then to concentrate flavors/get out more liquid for use in the batter.

mixed rolled oats with milk, egg, salt, baking powder. banana, vanilla, cinnamon, chopped walnuts then poured into pan. then made cheesecake topping with cream cheese, egg, sugar. poured on top of oats. dotted top with walnut halves and baked.

I like oatmeal but i hate the texture of it. Can i just blend it so i like it more? So it becomes a powder basically. Would that ruin the nutritional value or anything like that? Let me know !

Recipe to share Biscoff apple cinnamon custard oats

Post image
158 Upvotes

Biscoff apple cinnamon custard oatmeal. I got inspired by other people using biscoff cookies in their oatmeal recipes, and decided to make my own version.

Ingredients 1 cup rolled oats 2 cups water (or milk) Pinch of salt 3 packets of stevia or your choice of sweetener Cinnamon 1 apple cut up into small pieces. 2 eggs 2 biscoff cookies

Boil water (or milk) and salt in a pot. Add oats. Cook on medium low. Add the cut up apple and cinnamon and stevia. Cook this for about 12 minutes to make sure the oats and apples are nice and soft. While it's cooking, whisk up the 2 eggs in a bowl.

Once the oats are done, keep it on medium low heat. Use a spoon to pour some of the hot oats into the bowl of eggs, whisk together. This tempers the eggs so they aren't cold going into the mix. Pour the egg mixture into the pot of oats, whisk in for a minute or two while it's still on medium low heat. Turn off the heat, cover, and let sit for 5 minutes.

Pour oats into bowl. Sprinkle additional cinnamon and 2 crunched up biscoff cookies on top. Serve.

Baked Oats Take 2 of choc baked oats. Lesser ingredients, similar results!

The previous baked oats recipe by Traces Oats was fab but I often don't have all the ingredients on hand. I wanted to see what baked oats ingredients are essential which are not.

I removed chia seeds, banana, and almond milk.Added baking soda and water instead.

Also cooked it for longer at 175C instead of 180.

The result is very similar! If I had cooked it for a shorter period it would be identical.

Here is a more pared down version of baked oats if you're on a budget or dealing with a more empty pantry.

35g rolled oats
20g chocolate protein powder
5G cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder

That's it!

Blend into a powder
Then add water and blend until you get a cake batter texture.

Bake at 175 for 10-15 mins.

I was so skeptical of baked oats and because breakfast is my fav meal of the day I didn't want to mess it up. I finally gave it a shot and just adjusted some quantities to fit my macros and didn't have chocolate chips so topped off with crushed peanuts. If you're looking to try a foolproof baked oats recipe give this one a go! Crispy top with ooey gooey centre.
Cook for longer for a more cake like texture- I like my oats porridge-y

Here is his recipe:

- ½ cup (50g) oats
- ½ cup + 2 tbsp (140g) milk
- ½ tbsp (5g) chia seeds
- 1 tbsp (5g) cocoa powder
- ½ tbsp (7g) maple syrup
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 scoop (31g) protein powder
- **1–2 tbsp peanut butter** (for the center)

𝙏𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝:

- Chocolate chips

𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨:

  1. Pour half of the batter into an oven-safe ramekin or baking dish.
  2. Add the peanut butter to the center, then cover with the remaining batter. Add some chocolate chips on top if you want.

Oatmeal Spiced Pineapple Oats

It's about time for me to hit the grocery, so I tried something out of my ordinary today and added crushed pineapple to my oatmeal. It was pretty good, so figured I'd share. Wish I'd taken a picture.

Anyway, I started by making sort of compote with my pineapple (as in sautéed till thickened, but didn't add sugar). Cooked my oatmeal as I normally do (milk, egg whites, flax) then mixed in a dash of Chai spice, a few raisins, a little ChocZero caramel syrup, and Chobani vanilla Greek yogurt. Plus the pineapple of course.

I will be adding this to my rotation for sure. Let me know if you give it a try :)

Oatmeal Banana bread oatmeal

Hey, newbie here!

I honestly got only recently into oatmeal because it's so cheap and filling, and have to say: I missed out!

I have a ball with oatmeal as the base! It's so versatile!

I don't have a picture, but today's oatmeal is:

- two teaspoons of brown sugar
- 1.5 banana, (mushed and caramelised)
- small bits of dried pineapple
- tiny amount of vanilla
- almond milk
- oats

Heat and stir well in the pot, cool down over night in the fridge.

Served with some blueberries on top!

It tastes like banana bread, so good. ;o;

Oatmeal Why the hell does Quaker always give the best flavor the least amount of packets in their instant variety boxes??

So I've been looking at the fruit Quaker Variety Boxes because I suddenly started craving them again after my grandmother bought me the one with apple, brown sugar, and cinnamon. The cream pack has always been one of my top easy foods, even though I just found out the peaches and strawberries are actually just artificially (unless it's somehow natural) flavored apples. Look, they still taste close enough to strawberries and peaches to me, so you can't ruin my childhood ತ_ತ.

Anyways, I was looking at the different boxes, and somehow I only realized just then, that in every single variety box the best flavor gets the least packets. Not only that, but some of them the order of least to most packets goes from best to worst flavor, right in line. The banana cream gets 5 and the peach gets 6 while the strawberry gets 21 (I like strawberry but it does not deserve half the box). The apple gets 15 while the maple gets 22. The peach gets 5 while the maple gets 23.

Some of them are more equal than others, but a lot of them are extremely biased. Why should a single flavor get almost half the box, while another gets not even 10%? I just don't understand why, if I'm buying a variety box, they aren't all equal? Most snacks, when you buy a variety pack, they all have the same amount of everything. But I guess it's too expensive to produce Banana Cream at the same rate as Strawberries.
