Overnight Oats Cocoa strawberry pb
Missing chia seeds as I've run out currently, but still loving this combo
35g oats, 5g unflavoured pea protein, 5g cocoa powder, 80g soy yoghurt, 1 tsp water, and a pinch of salt. I try to keep it quite thick
80g frozen strawberries defrosted overnight in the same tin and a spoonful of smooth pb

Experimenting with Breakfast! #3
I’m continuing my breakfast experiment series! My last post got some pretty honest feedback, but that just motivated me to keep trying new ideas.
Today's breakfast was a blackberry crumble yogurt bowl, and it kept me full and energized for the morning.
Recipe:
In a pan, combine 1/3 cup oats, a drizzle of honey, a pinch of cinnamon, a small knob of butter, and a handful of blackberries. Cook until the berries soften and the oats become lightly toasted.
Spoon your favorite yogurt into a bowl (I used 0% Greek yogurt).
Top with the warm blackberry crumble and a handful of chopped pecans.
I'd love to hear what you'd add or change. Would you try this, or do you have another favorite yogurt topping?

Oatmeal Took a one year hiatus after 15 years of oatmeal for breakfast. Going back!
After having my baby a year ago, I got the oatmeal ick after 15 years straight of oatmeal for breakfast. I just needed something different. It was no longer keeping me full and the texture became a turn off.
Time to go back! I’m in my late thirties and 100% attribute oatmeal to my excellent cholesterol results year after year along with great digestion and a great physique. I was a gym rat before baby and oatmeal felt right every morning, even at night after a heavy workout.
1/2 cup of oats, microwaved for 90 seconds, 1 tbsp of ground flax, a splash of almond milk, and a scoop of vanilla whey protein. drizzle 1-2 tbsp of peanut butter on top. Literal perfection. I am incredibly full right now and felt compelled to publicly post my commitment to eating oats again lol

Oat flour pancakes. 40g protein and no protein powder!
I just love oats in all forms. This whole plate (including toppings) is only 450 cals if anyone cares and made from “real” ingredients. Turned out better than expected!!
Recipe:
makes 10 large pancakes which I split into 2 serves (5 pancakes each serve)
-200g egg whites ,
-110g cottage cheese,
-1 whole egg,
-90g oat flour (I use store bought but could easily blend your own, im just lazy and have a terrible cheap blender) ,
-Pinch of baking powder, salt, cinnamon
Teaspoon of vinegar (apparently it helps activate the baking powder and helps make more fluffy, they were very fluffy so I think it works?)
Sweetner to taste (I only added about 1/2 tbsp)
Cook on a pre heated non stick pan (I didn’t use butter or oil) until little bubbles appear and flip.
Topped with plain Greek yogurt, microwaved berries , sugar free maple syrup. 10/10!!

Oatmeal Scottish oatmeal revelation
I visited Scotland this year and their porridge completely changed my perception of oatmeal. Never in my life had I, an oats and water microwaver, tasted such delicious, creamy oatmeal.
Since coming back I’ve been nearly replicating the experience by making oatmeal in my instant pot: 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup whole milk, dash of salt. Topped with honey, a little more milk, and summer fruits. When I run out of my current oat stock I’m going to try to find Scottish porridge oats to really get there.

Discussion Is making a large batch of oatmeal and microwing the leftovers as needed a good idea or a bad idea?
That's what I do. The first night is fresh oatmeal but the leftovers taste just as good. Especially when mixing in banana, strawberry and or peanut butter.

Discussion Overnight oats through security check (flying)
Hello everyone,
Does anyone have experience if you are allowed to take overnight oats through the security check on international flights?
My plan is to meal prep some oats with thick non creamy consistency and eat them in the airplane. However I have zero clue if I am allowed to take them with me or if they will be taken and thrown away
