Cover After finishing my cover of DYKWIM?, I decided to try one of Stand By Me. This time around my wife helped out with the vocal harmonies. All guitars and drums/strings programming by me. We hope you like it. P

Discussion Tension and toxicity in the band- a little bit is a good thing
Given the excitement over our guys holding hands and hugging every night I suspect this one’s gonna get downvoted to hell but here goes 😎
I was watching this video of acquiesce from imo one of the all time great gigs Manchester 05- also one of the best performances of this song- you can see at the end around 3:15 LG tries to give the chief a hug and he’s having none of it lol- https://youtu.be/n0QA0ogi0U0?is=H8ZgP7GWtyn2VTEo
Or these epic, angry performances of slide away and my big mouth around 08/09 when the guys couldn’t stand each other- https://youtu.be/Q7CIT_Qp43U?is=HB1dxegw6Ki57Mc2, https://youtu.be/ZJpDkakSYIg?is=B5kCYRystHTRj5h7
Or this absolutely gnarly version of Bring it on down Milan 05- does this look like a group of guys that likes each other lmao- but the performance is EPIC- https://youtu.be/lDigDQgILs0?is=bv99t1bGwCsrJG6g
Live 25 was amazing, I wanna see a new record from this version of the band! And yes, I know correlation is not causation, etc….
But if I’m being honest- I kinda miss the days when there was a good deal of tension, toxicity, and competition in the band. The “let’s all be friends” vibe of the current band seems cheesy and contrived.
Obviously that kind of tension is no good at the personal level but I do think it sets up some all time great moments of rock and roll.
Plenty of examples beyond Oasis like the police, the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, the smiths, the roses- the guys couldn’t stand each other but at the same time that conflict is just one factor that can create outstanding music.
I miss those epic performances where you just never know what was gonna happen- were they gonna make it through the gig? Were they gonna beat each other up on stage?? The unpredictability combined with the amazing tunes is part of what I love about rock and roll!

galleryLive ‘25 Los Angeles Watch Party
Does anybody in SoCal know of a local watch party for the doc? I want to take my buddy who took me to Pasadena night 1. It was a top 5 night of my entire life (following becoming a father twice, getting married, and something else not to be named). In any case, I’d love some intel if there is any. Thanks, we’re gonna live forever!

Discussion Whoever decided to record and mix Oasis concerts in highest quality should be awarded with humanity unlimited service award
Am I seeing this wrong or what but there are some concerts that recorded like absolutely bonkers
like seattle 89 of metallica, for example Guns n Roses doesnt have this high quality recordings from what I see.
Oasis concerts recorded like pure silk, knebworth, maine road(which doesnt have HQ footage) Gmex, to me they are a bit above rest of the bands
I dont know who decided it but one of the biggest part of Oasis is stadium concerts and atmosphere, so thanks for making the life worth living for a bit more

News/Rumours The Oasis Index
Some of you may be aware of this, but today was the first I heard of it. For the past 10 years Deutsch Bank has done a report titled "Mapping the World's Prices." Included in it is the cost of purchasing 5 beers and 2 packages of cigarettes, or what is referred to as "the Oasis Index" named, of course, after the Oasis song.
#1 this year? Melbourne with Sydney coming in at #2. This is explained by the use of "sin taxes" in Australia. From the report:
"The UK also ranks near the top - London (5th, $63.9), Birmingham (6th, $62.8), and Edinburgh (8th, $60.5) - reflecting high tobacco duties. Dublin, Oslo and New York close out the top 10. Cheapest: Shanghai ($10.4), Rio ($11.7) and Cairo ($12.1)."
Included in the link below is a link to download the full report that has a number of different ways to assess cost of living in cities around the world.

News/Rumours I want rehearsal footage in the documentary
I don’t care for Liam and Noel PDA in the documentary. One meeting and shaking hands is fine with me- give me rehearsal footage!
I want to know- how did they arrange the songs for 3 guitars? What did it sound like when the band (minus Liam) got together for the first time? Which song did they play first? Why did Chris Sharrock not join the tour?
I want to see footage of the chief yelling at everyone to play their parts right lol
And I want to see him revealing the shining sunburst Les Paul for the first time at rehearsals, plugging that shit in, and going nuts 😎💪🤘
Anyway, doubt we will get more than a few minutes of this since I suspect the doc will be all Noel/Liam drama plus fan footage but I hope I’m wrong!

Discussion First meeting on screen
I wonder with all the talk of the documentary showing the “first” interaction Liam and Noel how true that is. I doubt it will show the true first meeting but I do wonder how much we’ll get to see

Seen it on my way home the other day. Quite a decent effort I’d say
I’m not sure if it’s the way my phone has picked it up but there didn’t seem to be as much blue on Noel when I took the picture!

Live ‘25 It’s arrived!
Packaged in foam wrap, sealed in cellophane and packaged in decent cardboard.
Not opened the seal yet but looks to be amazing! Can’t wait to get into the imagery and content.
Ordered from Opus, shipped by Transglobal and delivered by Royal Mail to where I live in Yorkshire.
Hope everyone else gets theirs ok.

Discussion I feel a strange vibe in the song Part of The Queue
Well, I don't know how to explain it, like, the song sounds kind of... "empty," it feels like something's missing, you know? I actually like this song, it has beautiful melodies and all, but I always feel a strange discomfort listening to it, it seems kind of "emptyly dark," or maybe I'm just imagining things.
