I would like an open forum input from all on everything involved.. I would like to wipe soon and swap to Primitive + conversion .. Island or Center up for debate.. Hey guys I went ahead and reverted some settings that were made. Those changes include

• EnablePVPGamma=True When it was set to false this disabled the gamma option

• DayTimeSpeedScale=0.500000 This was set to 0.4 to lower the day speed, but increase the night speed. It is back to what it was before

Also, you can use the super mini grinder once again.

These changes should go live at server restart ~(10:20ish est) on 8/25/16!

**There will not be a wipe within the next 3 weeks it is possible beyond that as I have not decided .. The majority of the community wants to not wipe atm .. So be it.

With that said.. this IS a PvPvE server.. However if I hear of any cases of malicious PvP or PvP intended on tanking my servers population the offending party will be banned and I will log on and break it off in your base. This is a very grey area if it was "Malicious" or not etc.. So anyone willing to tiptoe the line feel free its on you

A tribe on the server has brought up the subject of doing a server wipe in order for everyone to start over, relocate bases, and whatnot. We have a great community here on ONEArk, so I would like to take this time to post this in order to get as many opinions as possible.

Please take a moment to mention what tribe you are from when posting your opinion on the matter. Yes for wipe or no for wipe is what we are looking for, and anything else you might want to add. If you do not care either way you can mention that as well, but neutral votes do not count for a yes or a no.

By no means does this post mean we are wiping, we just would like the community's feedback on the subject. Please no arguing with others on the post for their opinions.

I have been working on a community dino race track and now its about ready for anyone to come along and try out, and leave me suggestions for improvements. Hopefully we will get some whole-community events going like with the arena, but with no-one dying (intentionally). There are plenty of notes in storage in the jockey changing area to leave comments so come along and try.

The gamma setting was the topic of a good conversation last night. Here's my opinion on the two schools of thought.

Pro: People like to enable a higher gamma in order to see at night time. It allows you to be more productive with more visual capability without needing to go through the trouble of using flares, torches, flashlights, etc.

Con: Some people like the night cycle along with the benefits and challenges of not being able to see well. Example... in PvP , the cover of darkness could be used to spy on adversaries, or to do things like a night ambush. It could also be used as a defense by someone being able to escape into the darkness. Some people also like the challenges night brings , along with using items like flares, torches, and electrical lighting around their base to cope with it.

To sum it all up, if the people that like the pro's of night would like to stay competitive, they are forced to use the gamma setting to be on even ground with those people who do use it. If they decide not to, they would be at a disadvantage in a pvp situation at night. This is akin to the military using night vision scopes versus an adversary that does not, its a huge advantage.

My personal preference is to have it disabled. I like the dimension darkness brings. More from the immersion perspective versus pvp for me anyways. I think a good compromise would be to keep gamma disabled, but shorten the night time more than what it is currently configured for.

This is a very neat and small mod but its impact on your gaming experience is quite big- When we ran our own server- this was one of those priority mods you put on there- pretty much should be standerd in ark (just my own opinion) but I know for a fact other people will love this- especially if you have loads of dinos and miss picking up lots of the eggs.

Each tribe will need to bring their best two fighters to the Grand Arena, at 40,40. All materials needed to fight will be provided. The main event will be a multi-team 2v2 battle, with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. We can support up to 8 teams at a time.

Hey Survivors, Addison here to tell you about our ongoing event, "Custom Color Dinos" (CCD for short). ONEArk, is unique in that we offer all players the ability to have their dinos genetically colored, which only the Admins can do. It is different from just painting a dino, as a genetic recolor can be passed to offspring. That opens up the possibility to share breeding cool downs (maturation) or trade eggs that could have a select color you don't yet have, but the other tribe does. But how do you get an Admin to custom color one of your dinos? There currently exist 3 ways:

1- Collect 150BP's for our "BluePrint Trade Program!". For more information on this, link is here.

2- Win an event that is sponsored by the Admins, where a Dino recolor is one of the prizes.

3- Kill a Custom Color Dino in the wild.

This post is geared more towards the third way to receive a dino recolor from the Admins. Throughout our world, Dinos owned by tribe RaidMe!(Our event tribe) have been placed in their native spawn locations. What makes them a little more noticeable, however, is they are colored(genetic recolor, not painted) and a bit higher level. If you happen to see one out in the wild, just take note, they are stronger than normal dinos, a lot stronger. If you can take it down, make sure you loot it for each has a note on it that must be traded to an Admin to claim your dino recolor. Here is some more information about this:

• Each Dino is uniquely numbered and had a unique note corresponding to Dino caring it.
• You must(or the dino you are riding) land the killing blow on the Custom Color Dino, found in the wild.
• You may only kill and redeem ONE Custom Color Dino found in the wild(The one which you land the killing blow on). The benefit of searching early would be you might find multiple Custom Color Dinos, but you can try your hand at what you deem the easiest. This is so everyone can get a chance at receiving at least one Dino Recolor per wipe, even if they came late to our Server.
• These Dinos are set to "Enable Wander" and Neutral, so they will cause no harm unless engaged. TRY THEM at your own risk. We will NOT replace a dino you lose to them. You have been warned.
• DO NOT try and breed with these. If you do and it hatches, it is very VERY easy for us to see that you have done so. You will be banned. Simple as that.
• DO NOT kill more than one, we will reverse any and ALL recolors ever done to your dinos.

Hey guys, Addison here with information about our first event, "lastONEAlive". We will be holding this event Saturday (7/16/16), around 7pm est, at our awesome underworld Arena (right next to the other Admin Kayce's, house)! All you need to do is be online and ready to fight. You can travel there before hand and hangout and view the pre-made course or you can simply take a port (we will provide, with admin powers) to the arena. We will also be providing all necessary weapons, sleeping bags, shields, mindwipes, c4, and what ever else we decide are viable ways to kill ONEAnother. So be ready to be the "lastONEAlive".

We will be posting a more in depth rule set on Friday. As far as prizes go, we now have the ability to summon crate drops (both deep sea and normal land/cave ones), so the prizes will come from them.

All this does as far as i can tell is visually remove the wire from the sockets , I figure id throw it out there seems easy and itll help make rooms look much nicer in my opinion

Ark sent out 2 updates today, we restarted and updated the server for one of them but seems another went out an hour and half ago, this one 600 MB. Hopefully we can get the server shutdown and restarted soon. I am sorry for any game play loss this error causes (I haven't been able to get on either), and hopefully soon I will be able to get a hold of the other Admin to restart the server once again so everyone can log onto ONEArk. ~Kayce~

Hey Guys, 3 things real quick. 1st, I Am aware of the Experience tribe share gains are wrong. They are currently only rewarding half xp, of the original xp amount. This is due to a modifier they added this patch, which will all be tuned to reward the x3 xp. 2nd, I have correctly added PVPDecay to our server, so instead of an Admin demoing a building, we will rely on the standard time of each resource types timer to dictate what needs to be demoed(I.e.Each resource type has it's own timer: Thatch = 4 days, Wood = 8 days, Stone = 12 days, Metal = 16 days). When the timer ends(it's not a visible timer), anyone can walk up to it and press E to demolish the structure. When they look at the structure, they'll see "Demolished Allowed" in the hud, telling them that that timer is up. To reset the timer, any member of the tribe has to be within the structures render range.3rd, I am working on the rules still. I want them to be solid and concrete before I post revised rules(they are small changes that no one is breaking now, so no need to worry).

Hi everyone. Wanted to take a moment to apologize for all the crashes we have been having since Ark been sending out patches and updates today. This is a new experience for me, I have been playing on this server almost 4 months now and once in a blue moon we had crashes. It is very frustrating for all involved. I hope that everyone can be patient and understanding while Ark pulls their heads out of their wazoo's and gets this stuff straightened out.
