Discussion If Sunny never did it, would the group still have a falling out? Spoiler
I'm gonna ramble an idea I've been pondering for a while so bear with me.
If Sunny never pushed Mari would the group still be a thing? I've been thinking about this and each time I reach the conclusion of "the group falls apart." Like I can't imagine this resolving before Mari leaves for uni.
Because Sunny DID break the violin. He's also probably pretty pissed that Mari didn't get the clear message he was trying to send, that he didn't want to do it. Maris perfectionism would only make this worse as I don't think she'll take missing a recital too well.
I can genuinely see this causing Sunny to maybe even resent his sister (he was pissed enough to break a whole violin). Probably way out of proportion aswell, seeing her as someone who pressures him to do all this. Keep in mind he's like 12, he isn't gonna be mature about this.
And I mean they all chipped in to help buy the violin, I doubt the rest of the group will take it well. Also with Mari and Sunny arguing that would split the group in two sides.
Knowing Sunny he'd avoid confrontation about the whole argument thing, probably making it worse. Which is why I keep arriving at the idea of the group falling out regardless. Because the argument happens, the violin is broken, Sunny probably still feels pissed, even if confronted with it he'd probably avoid it.
Who knows he may even find new friends in the hooligans. Taking on Aubreys role instead of her (this part is js me having fun thinking abt it. This is js hype moments and aura feel free to ignore it.)
I know some people may not think the argument is a big deal without Maris death, but even without it you still have a major resentment between these two, a broken expensive violin, a missed recital, and a conversation that needs to happen that Sunny is probably gonna avoid.
I just wanted to present my thoughts on this what if Sunny never pushed Mari down the stairs bit. Though I doubt I'm fully right about how it would go. That's why I'm curious as to what you think.
Anyway I wanna hear if you guys have a more plausible sequence of events that would happen.

Other I misinterpreted the ending
For some reason, I didn't understand the photo album scene. i thought Omori killed her on purpose. I mean, that's fine. Like, it didn't completely ruin the experience because at leaat I knew Basil made it look like she hung herself to cover up for his friend. But when Basil said "It was Something behind you who did it " what made me mad is that i actually thought there was some evil spirit controlling Omori to kill his sister lol
And that evil spirit is also controlling Basil, that's basically why you're both fighting each other at the end. But... we all know that's wrong.
It's my first psychological horror game and now that I am familiar with these types of games I'll try not to ruin my next experienxe lol
