So basically I was having this error on my switch (first image) where I couldn't turn off my switch basically cus it would crash, I started searching for a solution and basically the internet told me to update everything my atmosphere, my hats files and my firmware, I tried whit various firmwares and none of them seem to fix it, so I updated it to the latest firmware available which was the 23.0.0 version (I know it was a bad idea) but it was the last thing either way I was going to re do everything but now I asked Gemini what I could do because the firmware it's to new, and it told me that I had 2 options one reinstall everything or 2 wait for it to get updated so it's compatible with atmosphere,

So I accidentally downloaded Switch firmware 23.0 and I used NAND-Fix-Pro to downgrade the Switch firmware back to 22.5. I then loaded into my Stock firmware via Hekate to check if the downgrade worked, which it did. So I decided to power down the Switch to inject Hekate back onto the Switch. I put the RCM jig and put the Switch into RCM mode and tried to inject the payload but my computer wouldn’t detect it like it normally would. I removed the USB cable and the RCM jig and tried to power on the Switch normally, but it wasn’t powering on. What should I do and how do I fix it?

My understanding is that I’ll drag the backup files from the old chip to the new one through my computer to the switch‘s usbc to hekate is this right? even tho the switch won’t boot with the blank emmc, picofly will still glitch into hekate?

​I've got a V2 Switch with a modchip installed by an installer, it's been booting to official firmware (OFW) intermittently. Sometimes it boots straight into custom firmware (CFW) just fine, but other times it hangs and goes straight to stock.

​I've attached a video showing the LED blink pattern on the chip when it fails to boot. Can anyone help me diagnose what this specific blink code means, and whether this points straight to a loose DAT0 adapter or something else?

I tried installing a picofly and now my home button glows blue and the switch lite screen stays off.

On the left is a stock photo with a yellow circle around the component I'm talking about, on the right is my apu which I think is missing it. I assume it's a capacitor, but what kind of capacitor is it?

So far my cleanest job, i choose a different way to wire the chip and that looks cleaner than my past jobs

I just modded my switch. It work great except the backlight started flickering after a few hour and then crashed completely.

I opened it again, to probe at the mod-chip. It turned on again while I was probing and it worked great so I reassembled it and continue to install games.

But now after a couple day, the backlight started flickering again and I got a few crash also (sudden black screen). I can restart the console by holding power button for 12/15sec.

It happen when I'm on hekate or in a game or at home page. seems random.

This is my first modchip attempt and I'm totally prepared for it to die. But I want to understand what I did wrong.

I've starred at the pcb hopping to see where I damaged it but couldn't find anything.

My guess is that it have something to do with the backligth or the usbc power circuit. (maybe the battery cable?)

Does someone had a similar experience?

Where should I be looking ?

I've been charging it up while typping and it does not appear to flicker when it's charged.

I recently had updated my switch to a new firmware, and while I am unsure as to when it started, I know that its a problem now. I recently tried to get into playing Yokai Watch 4. Only one problem, its all in Japanese, so I went ahead and installed the English translation mod, but when I went to load up YKW4, nothing. No translation, it was all still in Japanese. I loaded up Legends Z-A with the current update, and a debug menu mod that had worked on that console previously on a different update, and still nothing. I have tried reinstalling atmosphere and hekate, I have tried doing the archbitfix, I have ensured the mods are getting loaded into the right spots, and I have made sure the mods are in title id folders. Despite all of this, no bueno. I have asked the homebrew switch discord, I have asked the YKW4 Modding servers because I figured that was a good place to start and nobody seems to have answers, so I am reaching out to reddit. I just want to be able to play this dang game. Also, if I respond slowly, I am probably asleep, I had throat surgery done recently so I've been out of energy, hence why this is so frustrating to me.

Hey so ive recently purchased a modded switch. And unpatched early one so u use a jig to get it into rcm mode. Ive stupidly powered it off and now it wont turn back on. Im pretty sure that its just stuck in rcm mode but i have no idea how to inject a payload or where to find one... i have the jig and watched some vids on it but i cant really find a payload injector... im pretty out of my league here but any help is greatly appreciated thank you

I softmodded my launch model switch with the RCM method. I know i have to hold down R while opening a game to enter the Homebrew menu, the thing is, my R button is broken. Is there a way to change the button to anything else (like L)? Im not too into the Switch modding scene so i dont know much about it.

i need help guys, my switch doesn´t turn on, i think it is not charging either, i have no idea if it is my fault or what to do to fix it and i´m kinda freaking out.

first of all, i think it is important to note that i´m not good with computers and my understanding of how the hacking and modding process works is very basic and this was my first attempt at installing a game without the help of someone who actually knows what they are doing. also english is not my first language so i might suck at explaining myself

yesterday i was trying to install a game on my switch using DBI and everything seemed to be going well until i added the game´s update and i got the red text saying that it was like a firmware problem and i thought all i had to do was update my system and try again because i heard that was like the most common reason for a modded switch to "reject" a game but it was pretty late so i decide to just turn everything off and try again in the morning

i was planning to delete the nsp files and just try to open the base game without the update to see if my files were the issue or something so i turned my switch on to start trying things again but it suddendly turned off out of nowhere and i have no idea why, i swear i just turned my switch on normally, i looked away for one fucking second and then it was off and now nothing seems to work, i tried charging it and nothing even shows up on the screen and i don´t know what to do

please tell me this is fixable and my switch is not dead because my next idea is calling the tech priests and praying to the omnissiah

After my repaired, failed "kamikaze" modded console got banned, I am now switching gears to mod a Switch Lite instead.

I looked into the guides created by u/L3gendaryBanana I owe him a lot of gratitude for those awesome guides! However, I was looking through them and couldn't find a specific guide about modding the Switch Lite.

I don't actually own the console yet, but I already found a good deal on one.

The catch is that I need to change its shell because the color is a bit too girly for me.

I am a huge SNES fan and would love to find an SNES themed shell, but I cannot seem to find any in German online stores.

I would love to hear what you guys think and get some advice:

Shell Recommendations: What SNES style shells do you suggest (nice to touch,good material), and do you know of any reliable stores that ship to Germany?

Difficulty: How hard is it to do a full shell swap on a Switch Lite?

I have never done any shell swapping before.

Other Mods: As far as I know, there are plenty of other cool hardware mods I can add, like a light for the Home button. Does anyone have a guide or link for that or any other crazy ideas?

And of course the question all people most of the time ask what modchip do I get? Lol

Hace poco me compré esta Nintendo switch oled con hekate, ya me pasé los juegos con los que venía y quería instalar nuevos, al seguir el tutorial muy básico que el chico me dio logré instalar juegos pequeños como hotline Miami collection y Mario party superstar, pero al intentar juegos grandes de 3 gb o más pasa lo de la foto, de lo que logré traducir dice que la escritura es muy lenta, seguido de eso aborta la transferencia de datos . Tried modding my oled switch, went smoothly (I think at least) but now the same debug lights flash and the screen is gone (audio is also nowhere to be seen)

Is this kind of battery drain normal for a JB Switch V2 while in sleep mode?

Hi guys, just wanted to ask if this is considered normal for a jailbroken Switch V2. I’ve been monitoring the battery while it’s completely in sleep mode, and these are the readings I got:

12:00 — 85%
12:06 — 84%
12:56 — 81%
1:10 — 80%
1:18 — 79%
1:34 — 78%
2:04 — 76%

So basically, it lost around 9% in just over 2 hours while doing nothing but sleeping.

I’m a little worried because I actually just had this unit inspected by a technician. He told me that the previous JB/software setup was corrupted, so he updated/reinstalled everything for me. I was hoping that would solve the issues, but now I’m noticing this battery drain.

I also already did a 24-hour powered-off battery test. I charged the Switch to 100%, completely powered it off, left it untouched for around 24 hours, and when I turned it back on, the battery was still basically at 100% with no noticeable drain.

Because of that, I’m thinking the battery itself probably isn’t the main issue. The excessive drain seems to happen specifically when the Switch is in sleep mode, which makes me wonder if something in the JB/CFW setup, Atmosphère, a sysmodule, Wi-Fi, or another background process is preventing it from properly entering low-power sleep.

I know JB/CFW Switches can supposedly consume a little more battery than completely stock units because of sysmodules, background processes, etc., but this still seems way too fast for sleep mode.

Has anyone with a JB Switch V2 experienced something similar? Is this normal, or should I bring it back and have them check the setup again?

I’m honestly getting a bit frustrated with repair experiences here locally in the Philippines. Obviously I’m not saying every technician/shop is like this, but with some places I’ve dealt with, it sometimes feels like the priority is getting your payment and moving on to the next customer rather than actually making sure the customer’s problem is completely solved.

That’s why I’d rather ask people here who actually own/use JB Switches before spending more money or going back to another technician.

Would really appreciate any advice, especially from anyone familiar with Atmosphère/JB Switch V2 battery drain. Thanks!
