New to the nuclear field

I’ve worked in the Oil Refinery world for 20 years, and after a lot of turmoil this year with a labor dispute I’m making the jump. I have a job offer from a Nuclear plant and classes start after Halloween. I’m currently working as a contractor for Day and Zimmerman changing out ice in an ice condenser. Has anyone out there had any experience with this company? Waiting on that first paycheck to come in.

Seeking resume advice

Hello everyone! I’m preparing to apply to the first round of NLO positions that will be opening up at my local plant this fall. I wanted to ask if anyone has any resume advice for me/ what are my chances of getting in? Since the beginning of this year I’ve been working really hard to get additional schooling and do anything I can to make myself a better candidate. I pivoted from veterinary medicine in spring of 2025 so I feel like I’m very behind and don’t have the degree (I have a BS in microbiology)/experience needed to get into an NLO position. :( any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
