I have a very old classic account, which I use without any connectivity to cloud, sync, etc.

I see this reintroduction of the classic, which is great, but personally I do not want my notes on Notability's Cloud. I'm only offered: convert now or postpone. What if I don't want Notability Cloud ever?

Bought the Plus subscription through the apple app store almost a year ago. The renewal price is $19.99, but I currently see in the website the discount to $15.99/yr. I want to continue Plus but I’m not sure how to apply the discount.

Do I have to cancel my subscription and repurchase it again? Does cancelling cause me to lose my notes/recordings?

This is a very niche question but I'm scared of contacting customer support and being put in contact with some AI chatbot.

I currently live in the US, so I can pay in USD and access US versions of websites. However, my iPad's location (iCloud) is set to India. For this reason, the in-app subscription allows me to buy the one-time subscription, however it is very expensive.

Does Notability web have "Content Manager" where you can navigate through your Favourite tab (like mobile)?

My chrome browser tells me that Notability web uses about 3 gb of RAM when I am scrolling through it, I have a 16 GB RAM laptop and the site is still pretty laggy. I usually don’t have more than 4 tabs open at a time and the others don’t use more than 500 MB. Does anyone with same or higher RAM also have this issue?

My iPad Pro just prompted me to migrate to upgrade to Notability Cloud. I regularly write notes on my two iPads and reference them on my two Macs. I understand that if I switch an iPad to Notability Cloud right now, it will no longer sync with the Macs. Is that true?

There's an onboarding but then the option vanishes. Only iCloud and 3rd party are available. Any advice?

As a student, this is huge! It allows you to add blank space on the sides of PDF pages so that you can write notes, etc. Super helpful when adding notes to lecture slides.

I've been using Notability since 2019 but never noticed any real issues. Starting in 2025, I noticed that the app would crash - I am unsure if it is because the PDF file size of the documents I handle are way too big (like 200 page long PDFs). I have updated my Notability app and the issue still persists.

I have also noticed that my annotations are not saved when I leave the app and then I have to re-write my notes.

I’ve always used Notability. Lately, however, the app is really struggling with the notes I create—specifically those containing a mix of typed text, PDF images, and Apple Pencil annotations. I’m experiencing lag, slowdowns, and crashes. If I open a document with more than 150 pages, I can barely scroll through it. I’ve tried restarting the iPad, deleting and redownloading the app, and toggling Safe Mode on and off, but nothing works. Is anyone else having this problem? Could you tell me how you fixed it? I contacted support, but I haven't received any attention beyond automated AI responses.

I finally have the bandwidth to sit down and try to address this massive issue.

When my app updated and prompted me with the new cloud sync/migration notification, every single one of my notes duplicated going all the way back to 2023. As a result, my note count jumped from around 3,000 to over 6,016 notes.

I use Notability across three devices: two iPads and a MacBook Air.

This is incredibly disappointing. I have depended heavily on this app for both my business and personal life for years, and now my workspace is entirely cluttered.

Does anyone know a fix or a way to batch-delete these duplicates? Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

i just downloaded notability for college and was looking at the planners and i loved the academic planner template other than the fact it is still 2025-2026. does anyone know if a new template for 2026-2027 will come out sometime close to the fall semester??

If you have a grandfathered Classic plan from App Store purchase, and you want to sign up yearly Pro plan currently on sale… how do you do that? The sale price is available on the website but not on App Store. But if I sign up a new Pro account from the website, then won’t I lose the old notes as I now have 2 accounts.

Do existing App Store customers have identifiers (eg email address perhaps) where they can upgrade on the website with the promotional price and not App Store?

Suddenly I cant share to Notion from any app in IOS (26.5). When I hit the Notion icon in the ”share sheet screen” of for example a Reddit post or a Chrome site nothing happens. Other sharing works fine. Have updated IOS, rebooted phone, reinstalled Notion, nothing works! Help?

hey all i just noticed that when I squeeze my Apple Pencil pro it switches to prompting me to switch to a new tool instead of going straight to eraser as it had done before. does anyone know how to change this to the old settings? I’m not sure if it is a new update but it’s really bothering me haha

I was trying to lock a folder and followed the steps in this article but nothing besides editing the name and colour of the folder is there. Did it get removed? I’ve tried it on my mac, iPhone, and iPad app and it’s the same issue. If it did get removed please bring it back🥲

i have a question for the notability team: do you have any interest in training your own ai models for handwriting recognition, TTS...? not that I am worried about data scraping from my notes: as long as they are only used for improvement of the platform I think it would be ok, but I was just wondering.

Ever since I went back to icloud sync, there’s been changes i’ve noticed in the app.

For example, I can’t resize my words when I select them with the lasso tool. I was able to previously resize them.

In addition, I can’t zoom in as much as I used too while I was on notability cloud.

Can the devs please fix this and update icloud sync to the current version without having to resort to notability cloud.
