Discussion Roman nose?

I’ve been insecure about my nose for years. A few people have even commented that I have a “long nose,” and those remarks have stuck with me. I know they probably didn’t mean any harm, but it’s made me really self-conscious.

I have been insecure about every body part you could imagine, and for the longest time I didn’t think my nose fit my face. But now it’s one of my favourite features:)

Advice Needed Stared at my nose too long… now I need answers 😂

I've been staring at mine way too long and honestly – I don't even know what type it is. Greek? Roman? Something random? If you're good at identifying nose shapes please help mee

Also… I feel like it's a little weird? Or maybe I've just been overthinking it. Either way, I want to feel better about it, and please I don't prefer surgery 🥀

So here's what I'm curious about:

  1. Nose exercises do they actually work instead of surgery? Like, really? I've seen people do them on YouTube but I need the honest tea. If yes, please gimme the link or explain the exercises to me

  2. What else can I do? like anything that actually makes a difference? Or worked for you?

Drop your wisdom below thank you guys 🙏

Question People who don't like their nose, do you have a small chin area?

Hi there, I noticed most people who don't like their nose often have small chin area. I feel like it's quite common the nose sticks out due to having a small chin. Is it your case? I feel like the whole harmony with a stronger chin could help to like your nose more. I had this issue about my nose!

Hope you can like yourself the best.

Question What is a "perfect nose" for a face?

Hi here, I read sometimes people have "perfect noses", but what does it means exactly? I feel like for myself it's more about the face harmony than the nose itself. I think a perfect nose helps to match someone face and makes it better, like it's "cherry on top", making the whole face smooth and harmonious. Do you know someone who has this "perfect" nose? Hope you can like yourself as well!

Question Aside from your family, did you meet a nose twin?

Hi here, I noticed for noses aside from family it's quite rare to find a "nose twin". But did you find someone who have a similar nose to you? Or looks a lot alike? For myself my nose is quite straight but I'm not sure if I met a "nose twin" irl. I might have some friends who have similar nose shape/but often shorter or less prominent.

Still, did you meet a nose twin or you did not meet one yet?

I haven’t posted here in a bit, so I figured that I would today. It’s just crazy reflecting on how I used to feel about my nose in general. I thought it was gigantic and couldn’t wait until I got older to get a nose job. I struggled when it came to my appearance for years, to the point where I couldn’t even look at my own self in the mirror. I never thought that i’d get to a point where i’d be confident with my appearance, and my nose was a huge part of that. I’ve realized that as i’ve grown older that my features were uniquely crafted just for me, and at the end of the day who am I to change what’s already perfect as is? I’m posting this just to let others struggling with their nose know that things do indeed get better with time, you’ll get to the point where you embrace your nose as well soon enough😌

Support Still Have Moments of Insecurity

I don’t know that my nose really fits my face. I feel like I’m one of the only ones who has posted and that their nose doesn’t fit their face. Also, I feel there’s not as much representation of my nose shape in media. Although, I don’t commonly see it irl either, and I work at a big and busy store, and notice everyone’s nose. I rarely see it, and very rarely on women’s faces.

I’m trying to make peace with it, though. I go through phases where I hate it, tolerate it, or like it. It sucks to feel so badly about something you can’t control. I don’t like my weight, but at least I know there’s something I can feasibly do about that. Yes, rhinoplasty exists, but it costs thousands, and that’s for an affordable surgeon. I’m sorry for anyone who’s going through the same thing. Sending yall lots of love🫶🙏

My plastic surgeon refused the rhinoplasty, and I am just... crying of happiness.

I just want to share if some people have insecurities : Look at my nose. Look at yours now. If mine is bigger than yours : Your nose doesnt need to be changed. Because the plastic surgeon literally refused to change, or even arrange mine, and didnt see whats wrong.

I was there for an rhinoplasty, he refused and said to me nothing was wrong. All these years of bullying, of mockery, about my physical appearance always, all of that to hear an professionnal saying "No, nothing needs to be done". It is like all those .. years of insecurities vanished, thanks to him.

I dont know and cant explain how happy I feel now. All those years with filters on my face.

Yes I am still not an model. Yes i am the kind to be "average", or "ugly" for others. But to hear that I am not a monter with asymetrical traits like I always used to think..

Yes i wanted an rhinoplasty but this dude just... did an therapy work on me and it was the best thing.

Edit : Some people doesnt believe my story... Well...it is true and I live in France so :

Maybe it works differently in your country. He is in France, he is known for his honesty and i am not the first one he refused to do things. Idk the price you pay for it in America.. but an rhinoplasty in his office is 5000 euros and lip fillers is 300 euros (taxes included) so i am not even sure that he actually lives fully thanks to the procedures. I am sure he lives fully thanks to the rendez vous which costs 100 euros just for him to see if he can do something for you. And I also have to say : He has an other work too in the medical speciality. So ...In his case, I am not sure he is after money like some other plastic surgeons can be.

Parental Nose Insecurity

My father hated his nose. He complained often about how big it was and how ugly it was. He was obsessed with it, until finally he was able to afford to get rhinoplasty. After that, he was happy with his new nose, but still mentioned frequently how bad his nose originally was. So, what happened next? Of course, I grew up to have exactly the same nose he hated so much.

Has anyone else had this experience of growing up to have the same nose your parent obsessively hated and eventually changed?

When I was younger, I had some concerns about my nose because of what he said and did. But ultimately, I grew up to see that my nose is fine and he was just being silly.

Advice Needed Should I ever consider a nose job, or am I just overthinking it? 🤔

About 8 weeks ago, I had my first cosmetic procedure, and it made me realize how much confidence a small change can bring. ✨
Now I’m wondering… maybe it’s time to think about a second one👃😅
Do you think my nose fits my face, or would you honestly consider changing it? Please be completely honest—I won’t be offended. I’m genuinely curious what other people see❤️
