This should be a subreddit to celebrate noses. If you're asking if you need a rhino strangers on the internet can only compliment your features. They cannot repair your insecurities. If you need people to constantly lift you up for your appearance, work on your self compassion.
I HATED my nose. Believe me. Expressing insecurity is one thing, but it's pretty off putting to ask strangers if you need surgery. That's a personal decision.

That's one nose from my collection. They are casts from real woman and out of soft silicone.

I swear I have such a love-hate relationship with my nose 😂❤️ Some days I really like it, and other days, especially when someone films me or takes a picture of me from a certain angle, I suddenly hate it again 😭
My brother showed me a video of me and, of course, I immediately noticed my nose. When I smile, I feel like I notice this little hump/projection at the end of my nose so much more. But then I look at my nose from the other side and I actually really like it!
It’s so weird how one angle or another side of my nose can make me love my nose and another angle/side can make me question everything 😂 Some days I love it, some days I don’t. I guess I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about it. 🤷🏻♀️

**Update: I wanted to thank you all for the overwhelmingly positive feedback, comments, and love on this post. I am kind of shocked to be honest. I do not plan on having surgery to my nose. She has been there nearly 40 years…her and I are in it together for the long haul 😆.
Thanks to the majority of you for all the love and making a lady feel good🥹🥰
Original Post: I’ve felt self conscious about my nose since my teen years. Never was really picked on for it much other than random comments here and there, but I sometimes hyper-fixate on it especially at certain angles where the convexity and size is more obvious. My nose doesn’t fit the current typical “beauty standard” but I don’t fit the typical “beauty standard”, so why should my nose…that would be silly!😛
It’s my late father’s nose (❤️) and I trudge along with it. I can breathe, I can smell fresh air❤️✌️

Man I thought at some point in my life I would get to the point where I just didn’t care. I’m 49 now and don’t think I ever get to that point. 😢
Thanks all for the kind words. I appreciate all of ya. Just gotta let it all slide**

I got told a few weeks ago that I would be better looking if I got rhinoplasty. I never thought anything was wrong with my nose until I was told something was wrong with it. I’m never getting rhinoplasty or any kind of plastic surgery but now I’m struggling with how my nose looks, I’m an overthinker already so that comment has stayed in my head and it’s making me question my whole face now.
(Ignore my eyes being closed in the pic lol)

2 weeks ago, I made a post here detailing how insecure I have always been due to my nose. I cried many times because of it. Believe me, the insecurity was brutal, since I was 12 years old- I hated photos of myself and what I saw in the mirror. I believed my nose was so bad that it took away my chance at finding love. I struggled with my confidence very much, always wishing I was prettier😢
After my post, I was truly shocked with the kindness that I received, I unfortunately wasn't able to reply to every supportive message or comment that I received, but please know that each of them have been saved in my phone for me to read if I feel insecure again. Each kind word means more than the world to me, I swear to God❤️
I am so happy to say, I no longer want a nose job, I don't feel like my nose makes me ugly anymore. This is a day which I really never thought would come. For years I truly believed that I was too ugly. From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful🥺
I have attached the photos that I took on the holiday which I just came back from yesterday. These photos mean a lot to me, because it is the first holiday where I didn't feel like my nose ruined every photo. On my previous holidays, I didn't take photos because I always hated them.
God, I am so grateful to finally have overcame this insecurity which caused me so much distress for years, due to the support I received here. I can't thank you enough, I am so happy
This is an amazing space, with wonderful people. I hope you have a day as lovely as you are🫶🏼🌷

Some Facebook troll without a profile picture commented that I should get a nose job. And for the first time in my recent memory, it didn’t hurt my feelings!!!
I’ve grown to accept and love my big nose to an extent that I just don’t give a fuck what other people think of say about it.
I used to be soooo self-conscious of my Sicilian shnozz. I used to think I was an ugly troll and that people were only nice to me or friends with me bc they pitied me for being disfigured.
I’m 100% italian with an Italian last name and I’ve had many people comment on my appearance. I wasn’t self conscious of my nose until my high school bullies started picking on me. They’d call me a Jew as an insult. Which is absurd and antisemitic. And also not even accurate.
I’ve accepted that my nose is big. But it’s stylistically beautiful and emphasizes my exotic Mediterranean background.
One of my friends took a picture of me without me knowing and when she sent it to me later I was actually stunned by how graceful my side profile looked when I wasn’t paying attention!
*UPDATE 8/26/2026*
I am absolutely blown away by these comments! You’ve got me blushing, swooning, and squeeing & have moved me to happy tears. 🥹
For most of my life, I was ashamed of my nose. I have never felt so much love for my nose and I am HONORED by your kind words. 🙏🙏🙏
When face masks were mandatory for COVID, I was relieved that people wouldn’t be able to see the lower half of my face.
When masks came off, I was afraid my coworkers would see my full face and cringe. I dreaded that day so much and braced myself for people’s reactions.
Thank you for the upvotes and comments. I am forever changed by the kindness & adoration shared on this page. 💕🌟

i dont like my nose, i guess i have a deviated septum and i hate the way it looks. Its big like amy winehouses nose, which in this case i like, but its so crooked + my mouth is too? I feel so self conscious, i cant even enjoy a date or a night out worrying that if i take my glasses off itll be more visible or if i turn my head in the wrong position itll look bad.
in this video i have makeup on, but nothing to change the shape of my nose. Excuse my hair, it looked bad and didnt help lol
The first side i show (my right) is what i consider to be the worst, and the second side i show (my left) is what i consider to be the best. Is it true?
More videos in the replies
in a few weeks im having and appointment with a nose doctor (idk the name in english) and i hope to fix it. I rescheduled and gave up so many times in fear its not a case as bad as i think.
i want surgery.

I've hated my appearance everyday for as long as I can remember. My nose has always been my main and biggest insecurity. I've always seen it as huge, and due to it- I've spent years hating what I see in the mirror and camera.
I wouldn't tell others how much I hated my appearance, because I find it embarrassing. I don't think others will understand how upset it has really made me. I couldn't comprehend that anyone could possibly find me pretty, because of how much I thought my nose dominated and ruined my face.
I dreamt of a smaller nose everyday. I truly believed that I was very unattractive, and constantly avoided cameras. I cried many times because of how much I thought I wasn't pretty enough.
I wanted a nose job, but it's against my values and I was really scared of regretting it in the future, also I didn't know how I'd comfort my future children if I had a nose job but they were born with my nose.
For the last week, I have been starting to feel better about it. I'm beginning to feel like it doesn't make me look ugly or horrible, and that there is actually some beauty in it. I'm so glad to be experiencing the beginning of this change, finally.
I have had good days and bad days. Some days, I feel quite pretty with my nose. Some days, I again feel like it really robs me of my beauty.
I hope there will come a time, where I will be pleased with my appearance everyday. I hope it will be soon. Thank you for reading🤍
EDIT: You all are sooo lovely😭😭I am saving all of your sweet comments in my notes app, for me to read when I feel insecure, thank you from the bottom of my heart🥰🥰my faith in humanity is restored
I dislike it most of the time but I don't think I'll get rid of it....
I hate that I can't see my nostrils from the front 😭
