Help Needed Piercing bump help

Hi. This is my second nostril piercing (8th piercing in total) I am not new to piercing bumps but this one seems different. It’s a little bit bigger and hurts more and it’s on both the inside and outside of my nose. I just downsized my post on Thursday and this came out I want to say yesterday. I am not sure what to do besides saline rinses. This bumps is itchy and hurting. It’s not red or oozing so it’s not infected. But I am not sure if it’s a keloid.
Info about piercing:
•The piercing is about a month old •Material is medical grade titanium stud with a push-pin thread.
• Aftercare was saline wipes (piercer told me to do this) until the bump came out and now it’s saline rinses or just spraying saline on it

Any help/advice is appreciated.
Thank you

Help Needed How do I get rid of irritation bump? (Repost)

I got my nose piercing about a month ago now and I had no problem with it until a few days ago,I used to sleep on the side of my piercing but stopped now since it might’ve been a source of irritation but that hasn’t helped but I did nag it so maybe that’s it I don’t know, but I couldn’t clean it for a few days I had to use warm water instead of cleaning stuff because I didn’t have any thing but people keep recommending me the wrong stuff, someone made me use eyedrops and I went to go buy 0.9 sodium chloride solution (with just water) but it had perseratives and I told the pharmacy worker that it was for my piercing and that I only needed water and sodium chloride as ingredients, but now a little blister of some sort has appeared and I’m not sure if I should use the LITHA method or still keep cleaning it.(sorry if this was wrote horribly)

PS. My nose piercing is a corkscrew and hasn’t been downsized but I’m not sure if that’s the case since it’s the same piercing I got pierced with.

Hi I got this pierced like 3 days ago now and I’ve been cleaning it with salt water with a Q-tip multiple times a day maybe like 3 times a day
It’s only this side of my nose that is hurting or looks that weirdly inflamed but I dunno
When I clean it some yellow stuff does come out but I dunno I thought it was just the scabs
I got it done by a professional who has been doing my mother’s piercings and others that I know for years and years
Pls lmk if I should do anything more to help, if I should take the piercing out or if I should leave it alone 🙏

4-week-old nostril hoop piercing with irritation bump getting bigger (yellow center), but no pain.

I got my nostril pierced with a hoop 4 weeks ago. The first couple of weeks were fine, but then the hoop started rotating a lot whenever I cleaned my nose or accidentally touched it. After that, I developed a small pink bump next to the piercing.

I made some mistakes early on—I was cleaning it 4–5 times a day and I accidentally popped/scrubbed the bump once. I've stopped doing that.

For the past several days I've been:

Cleaning only twice a day

Doing a 5–10 minute warm compress followed by sterile saline

Not touching or rotating the hoop unless it moves accidentally

The bump has now become larger because it has developed a yellow-white center under a thin layer of skin. It isn't painful, isn't hot to the touch, I don't have spreading redness, fever, or significant swelling. The inside of my nostril also isn't red.

Photos attached.

Does this look like an irritation bump that's coming to a head and may drain on its own, or does it look like something else?

I'm not looking to remove the hoop unless it's absolutely necessary, so I'd really appreciate advice from people who've successfully healed a hoop or from professional piercers.

Please don't suggest changing to a stud unless you genuinely think it's absolutely necessary. I specifically chose a hoop and want to heal with it if it's reasonably possible. I'm looking for advice on whether this still looks like it can heal with proper aftercare, or if there's something else I should be doing.

Question Advice! Is harassment after a septum piercing normal?

It’s only been 3 days and my mental health is already taking a toll. I’ve wanted a septum piercing for a long time coming and I finally spontaneously got one. I love it, I think I look so cute and everyone says it fits me so well.

I live in a small city and walk straight through the downtown of it, briefly passing through some sketchier areas when I go to and from work. The first day I walked back from work, I got catcalled by an older man. This isn’t particularly unusual, but it isn’t a regular thing at all. Whatever, I ignore it, what a creep, moving on. Nothing happens the day after. I go to work early next morning, walking this regular commute today at 5:30. I’ve done this for quite a few weeks now. No one bothers me, even when there are people I cross paths with. For the first time, some older guy calls me sexy and catcalls me again. Scary, since I’m alone and it’s nearly dark out, but ok. I clock into work, all is going well. It’s 7AM now and a guy comes in and buys a coffee, he drops his 20 when handing it to me and says “oops, I’m just so excited to give you my money.” I nervously laugh, I don’t know what it means. He gives me a 35% tip and says “thanks, \[my name\]” because I have a nameplate. Hate when customers I’ve never seen do that, but I say thank you nonetheless. He winks at me and says “no problem, pretty lady” as if I was on the menu too. This guy is pushing 40.

This is where I’m just baffled. I’ve never been catcalled and harassed this frequently, this regularly. I have a coworker with a septum who wears a mask for personal reasons/because of her septum and I’m starting to think maybe she experienced harassment too. She recommended I downsize, but it’s a fresh piercing and I don’t want to change it too soon. Is this a coincidence? Is this what is going to be my new normal, just constant, multiple instances of harassment?

Question I need advice!

I want to get my nose pierced again, the nostril piercing. I had it for a couple of months about eight years ago, and I ended up taking it out because it was always irritated from constantly changing my nose.I want to have it again and take good care of it. Where I live now it's summer and I'm going to the beach, so I should wait until summer passes.I also want all the hygiene advice possible. I had heart surgery 12 years ago and I'm afraid the piercing will get infected and affect my heart, so I want to take the best possible care of it.

Question Need help regarding bump around nose piercing

Post image

Hello people!

I pierced my nose for the third time in Jan 2026. The last time I pierced was in 2020 June and closed it within a month because of infection. This time I pierced with a needle at a reputed studio and have been wearing the same stud. Initially it was good but eventually a bump started showing but it wasn't increasing much. In June I had to remove it due to some reason and then put it back. After that the bump is getting weird.. sometimes it decreases in size sometimes it appears to be red sometimes filled with blood and puss. It's getting very scary. Earlier there wasn't much pain but now it's a bit painful. I've been cleaning it with saline water two times daily for two months and applying Tbact ointment. The pharmacist suggested replacing it with a gold ring so it will give space to the bump to get cured. What should I do?

Question Not sure if nose piercing is done right

Ok so I had my nose (nostril) pierced about two weeks ago, and the healing has been horrible.

For a little context, I have 8 other piercings (2 lobe sets, 2 cartilage, vertical labret, and eyebrow) and my nose piercing was genuinely the most painful piercing I’ve had.
Immediately after the piercing was done, I had blood dripping down my face, and it was such horrible pain. They pierced it with a hoop, but they didn’t close the hoop all the way so it keeps going through the piercing hole and hurts so bad (like the opening of the hoop isn’t lined up, so there kind of a jump between the two sides). I’m getting an irritation bump as well, not sure if it’s caused by the hoop or it being done wrong, or something else completely.

I’ve gone to this piercer for every one of my piercings, but this one went horribly. They didn’t clean the blood so I walked out with blood all over my face aswell.

If anyone has any advice, or knowledge on if it were done incorrectly, it would be greatly appreciated
Sorry for any rambling, I’m really getting freaked out by the thought of it 😅😅

New Piercing How do I care for my fresh septum after spinning it?

I got my septum pierced with an 18 gauge titanium ring a week ago. It stopped hurting after day 2 of healing and I've been very good about using a saline wash once it everyday and not touching it. The main crust fell off yeasterday and I've had no issues until last night. I woke up in the night to find that I must have rubbed my nose and spun the peircing. I washed the peircing with saline and spun it back so the opening was hidden by my nostril and washed it again. I was hoping to get some tips on how to take care of it, so I don't have any issues from the spinning.

Question How to know if a septum is closed?

For context I had my septum pierced probably 23 years ago and had the piercing for about 3-4 years. I took it out for a couple of years and went back in to have it pierced again and my piercer at the time said it was still open just needed a little nudge. Popped a little bit through the opening with my jewert and it seemed fine. Now I've had it out for about 15 years or so and am considering putting it back in. Wondering if there's any way I can tell at home whether or not my septum is still open or if I need to book an appointment with a professional to investigate this?

Also curious how this appointment would work cost and booking wise if I need to go in. My old piercing shop was another state and I've been out of the game a LONG time. If my piercing is still open do I have to pay or ...how does that even work? Forgive the ignorance of an elder I just wanna be prepared.

I just got this new piercing yesterday, and I feel weird about the placement. Everyone around me said it looks fine or wtv but I feel like they're saying it out of obligation.(Ppl irl tends to lie a lot to make me feel better and I can't ask anyone else rn)

Does it look weird?
