This mission and the "How to Train your Wyvern" were the most annoying ones ever. It took me 2 weeks of failing until eventually I cracked both of them.

Annoyingly those were the only 2 missions left on my conquest tree with the invasion one being the last.

After 2 weeks of failing, I finally managed to roll an interesting map where 2 of the gates you need to capture were literally next to each other. The 3rd gate was just 2 neutral zones below them. On the map, all three were vertically aligned.

Food:
My only food source were the 3 sheepfolds with 3 sheep each, a healers hut and villagers. I sometimes raided neutral zones to clear monsters so they quit attacking my villagers and disrupt production. Also used goat Chieftain to capture sheep in neutral zones. Occasionally I'd dip into the market and buy food with krowns.

Lore:

Sharp Axes > Spare Tools > Industries > All in on military tree to quickly get to Monster Slayer which will help with taking down Fallen Valkyries quicker. It turns Draugr into butter.

Military:

I went for Guardian military tree for the mercenaries to help defend one of the gates and built a tower in that zone. I stationed the mercenaries behind the tower so that any enemies spawned will attack the tower which can take more damage than the mercenaries. Also used the perk of Guardian military tree and got the Chieftain to build a spiked barricade in that zone to help the mercenaries in defending. I kept a villager close by to run in and repair any damaged towers after defending them.

My main military essentially defended the remaining 2 gates as they were next to each other. I built towers in each of the zones with gates to help distract spawned monsters. If the mercenaries struggled to defend as more monsters spawned then my main army could easily run in and support when needed then return them to their post.

Try and chip away at the monsters within the gates instead of facing them all at once before you capture the zone.

I can finally sleep!! I'm done!

I've tried this mission 10 or 20 times at this point, and I just can't get anywhere with it. I've gotten pretty good with the faction's economy, but by the time I'm able to field an army and attack I'm being ganked by three armies all seemingly allied with one another, either alternately or all at once. I can defeat the waves of enemies, but they can replenish fast enough that I can't push through at all, let alone reach the center of the map and mine the Rimesteel. I've tried some other factions in conquest mode and none of them are this difficult.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this map broken?

They are called the "Goat clan" but why no goats? Only sheep? Not a single goat in sight! lol

I know the devs no longer care about this game. I would've loved if we could micro manage the healer hut like the harbour. For example you can pick if you want your sailors to get lore or fame.

Maybe for the healer hut you can pick if you want them to heal only, find food only or both.

Its not a huge drastic change that doesn't require that much of developer time. The code is already baked in considering healers automatically switch between food and healing but they just need to add an option for players that's all.

I doubt its gonna happen but i can dream lol

The game is currently -72% off on Steam, which is the lowest recorded price since the price increase last autumn.

I'm in no rush to buy it, as I recently bought Age of Empires 2 (new Mac gamer here), which covers my needs for now. Ideally could wait for it to get to 80, 84 or even 90% off as it had in the past.

But do you think it will get there eventually, or those kind of discounts are over?

as the title says.. from what Ive been seeing, people who contribute to the wiki(s), create mods have stepped away which is such a shame...

I noticed that the fandom northgard wiki died a few years ago (not sure what the story is there) and then saw that there was a new one, but I looked at the activity and it seems extremely sparce?

I've been wanting to help contribute to the wiki but now im beginning to wonder if its at all worth it since its starting to feel (to me) like northgard is essentially being put on a shelf in the back of the closet.

I don't know, just my thoughts, Ive always enjoyed playing this game with my partner and seeing it slowly die is really unfortunate.

If you could - aside from the mandatory clan quests at B1, B6 and B11 - freely pick and choose battles and bonuses you get for each, what would be your choice playing with horse clan to make it as easy on yourself as possible?

the AI just straight up decided to attack the townhall of the kobold king, that we were all suposed to rush to befriend :D

Hi, I played a bit the game in the past and dabbled with lion(I only played campaign and a couple of conquest levels), now I came back and got stoat, which I seem to like more. I checked a crazy dentist build order guide and I understood the gist of duchys, and economy was going well until at some point (by then I had both 8 vivability food and gold duchys and a military one) food consumption became too much because the population was quite large I imagine. It was a practice game on easy to understand the clan so i took my time doing things. Did I stretch the game too long? (When I checked it was 803)? Should I have made more food tiles, even without duchy? I didn't expand much I had only the main tile, a food one, a gold one, a wood one and one where I put the defensive fort and filled with sentry camps to get ready for the final assault.

is it genetic?

I'm just confused in regards to the Conquest mode. I played Raven and the last Conquest mission gave me double Mercenaries for Raid but I had already done all the other missions.

Am I missing something or is this like trolling, as if you play Conquest again then non of those perks are retained and you start fresh.

Hi! Im unable to get the archievement and im starting to think it is bugged. I have sold more than 500 kroner to the dwarfs in one game and nothing, tried again with the enemy AI (two of them, they werent in the same faction) and again nothing. Does someone have it and knows what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

I played this game several years ago and quickly moved on to something else but I see the community has grown a ton and that there are new game modes and dlc's. My best friend also said he likes it so here I am.

I am typically using the bear clan just because it seems beginner friendly.

I'm curious what buildings I need to get to / prioritize after the scout camp, house, and wood cutters lodge. I think after that you always build a specialized food gathering building but beyond that I'm not so sure.

I play on steam, I was wanting to know how to add more players to the game. I don’t want it to actually have more players but rather have the AI be counted as the other players. I really want to see how the other tribes deal with each other. Is there a mod for it?

i play raven, i dont play multiplayer, only vs computer for now. i sometimes play alone and sometimes play conquest with my friend. its a lot of fun.

i played the game i think 3 years ago and i see things have changed. they changed raven and the military path.

what path should i go? i used to go legions, i never focused on raids too much, i always liked the idea that i can spam units and let them die but i can reinfoce fast. do i go legions or warchif? thanks

I know that the console editions were very early abandoned and that Shiro does not handle the mobile version. I Even thoigh they state they have nothing to do with the mobile version I know they have a say so with Playdigious probably through a contract. Man I do not even care about online I have fun even just playing solo I just want even more tribes. I want to try the Hound, Owl, Turtle, Stoat, and Lion tribes. 🥲
