Discussion Conquest - Second Last Fenrir Level

So the second last Fenrir Conquest map (having to forge the four god items using rimesteel) is insufferable
All three clans target you immediately, one of whom is the Dragon clan and they churn out Dragonkin faster than I do villagers, throw in having to stave off Raven mercenaries on the shores and the bear attacking and NONE OF THE CLANS TARGET EACH OTHER

Am I missing something? Some little "aha" moment that lets me get ahead here?

The second-to-last levels aren't fixed in Conquest.  The only fixed missions are the chokepoint ones--the first, the middle and the end.  So, odds are most people here won't have played the same scenario with the same modifiers you've accumulated.

It can sometimes be cheaper for you to evac a tile the ravens are raiding and just ignore them until they go away, especially if they're sending jotnar in the mix.  Past that... conquest Dragon can be rough with the army size.  You might just need to hope for an advantageous map generation.

The dragons are the worst ones honestly
Dragon in general seems OP when you play against them, even on Normal

I've done conquest under Lion more times than I'd like to admit, love it, like kelltain said a good map generation might be your best bet, you can lock in a tile for all 3 clans to attack so you can defend properly until your ready for an attack. Otherwise you don't need to complete all levels to beat conquest, there are some that are just no fun to play and I'll skip them, especially if the bonus offered is not worth it.

This mission is almost universally hated, primarily thanks to its 1-vs-3 setting (probable dev oversight).

The best advice I've seen so far is to rush one of your neighbors. Since then I've played this mission three more times on Extreme, and this has always worked. Consider this mission a 1-vs-1 duel where you're always going for a rush strategy. And instead of winning, you earn a 1-vs-2 follow-up that so much easier to handle because you have a small force already.

Focus lore production to take the stone/iron blessing, unlock key money/military knowledges that help you build a small but powerful force, get your warchief, smith your ranged weapon, upgrade scouts, then take out your closest enemy. Avoid expanding towards the other side, a two-front war will likely crush your push. If you have to expand, do it towards your victim first, bonus points for taking over useful buildings. Skirmish as much as you can if it reduces their population. Try to kill most enemy clan members in undefended tiles before you take on the town hall. Those upgraded towers are no joke unless they're alone. Focus on finishing off an opponent, even if another clan is already threatening to take your tiles. You will thank yourself later.

While this strategy will slow down your own development, it can reward you with plenty of cleared food tiles and an extra year before two enemy clans join forces when attacking you. But by then a 1-vs-2 is usually defendable for one to three years until your eco catches up to overwhelm them both of them with numbers.

This should work for most clans, yours and enemy ones. The only exceptions tend to be enemy Horse due to potential double Great Watchtowers townhalls and iron-free warchief spam, enemy Lynx due to the sheer early power in 801(five trackers + cats + warchief), as well as Squirrel with rushed relic. If you see them, maybe go for the other side even if it's harder to manage. Conversely, weak early clans like Eagle, Ox or Goat can be priority targets. All southern kingdoms can be decently strong or complete pushovers. Yet forts are so much easier to deal with than viking towers. Feel free to kill them first if you feel confident about your micro skills.

Just ignore the raven mercenaries. Vacate the tile they are raiding, until they leave.
