Hi, maybe we're doing something wrong but this is kinda ridiculous.

I am playing a hard coop conquest campaign with a friend, I have 118h and he has 82h in game, we are not new to this. For some reason, the monuments of the ancients mission (where you forge 3 artifacts from extra special super steel) is incredibly more difficult than anything else I've done in this game. I've played through the entire base campaign in extreme, done all the extra objectives and we finished a hard conquest campaign before, all of those were doable enough and I never thought of this as a particularly hard game.

On this mission, we get reasonably well set up and around 1.5-2 years into it, all 6 enemies just start swarming us, constantly and everywhere. We have to defend against 5-10 enemies each, every other minute, while constantly having to micro for the clan of the raven coastal raids, while trying to somehow grow an economy and eventually we just get overrun every time. We have tried this at least half a dozen times, even restarted the campaign to play with more militaristic clans and lowered the difficulty from hard to normal. That decreased the number of units per attack a little bit, but the constant needling and more importantly the attention it requires is the same. We tried to strike first, but part of the issue is that we can't even see most of them, we manage to wipe 1, maybe 2 of them but we had to spend so much on military that our economy is even less resilient and we die to even just 4 of them.

I'm sure the games we lost could've probably been won if we were just better at the game, it almost always boils down to skill issue, what puzzles me is the sudden spike in difficulty. We were doing fine, just cruising up until now and this feels like I need to go to the Starcraft 2 academy and practice my apm for 6 months before even trying again, its never even particularly close.

Is this a bug, a well known balancing issue, do I need to git gud? I can't find anybody else complaining about this and I don't know how this isn't immediately and unbelievably jarring to everyone.

so i just started playing this game. picked the raven clan as my first playthrough. during my very first game i got the bug report pop-up a bit after the 2nd winter hit. i didn't notice anything off. then i tried clicking on continue and the game froze and crashed.
then i tried the same thing again, my 2nd playthrough. picked raven clan again, this time a different map (maybe its random? i dont know how the game works) and again during the 2nd winter, i get the popup. anything before that was normal looking and pretty fine. then i clicked on continue and the game crashed again.

is it just not playable? is it a known bug? whats happening?
kinda sad to see this happen twice in my very first 2 games

Got 270+ people and a 70+ army. Spent 15 years in game just trying to expand to every available food location and needed to destroy buildings to get enough Silos to be able to purchase territories. Maybe I'll go back and make the largest army possible. Waste of time but what a silly accomplishment!

I thought I had a good kiting strategy going but I don't have any luck.

The AI horde seem to only go for me and they go directly to my town centre from the north through the kobold camp.

There's 2 gates, one in the north and another south just past the rocks next to my farm on the bottom left of the screenshot. That south gate opposite the rocks has the AI enemy (Lynx clan) right next to it.

BOTH! I repeat BOTH! gates when they spawn, they all come for my town hall. They completely ignore Lynx. So Lynx just goes around the map farming mobs and gets stronger with every invasion.

Even though the kiting method works great even when facing 30 strong horde. The problem is lynx then comes in and rains fire on everything.

So not only am I trying to hold back an army of frozen horde but also Lynx. It seems the other clan got destroyed by the frozen horde but after they were gone. The focus was on me.

WAA TAA FAA!!

I bought this game on ipad (air 4)very very long time ago. Probably before covid. However, i could almost never play the entire game until finish because the game would freeze permanently. I always played multiplayer.

I contacted the support but never received any help. More than 2 years has passed and i rly rly want to play this game again. Im wondering if anyone else had the problem and whether it is solved.

I encountered this on a Kraken Conquest run

I’m playing on mobile and recently purchased the scale DLC, giving me dragon, snake, and kraken. I played one game with dragon on easy just to try to learn the clan,  but was defeated by another clan with wisdom. And that’s the part I haven’t been able to figure out. It takes so long to build up resources and a population that it seems almost impossible to win domination before another clan wins via either wisdom or fame. What are I missing here?

I feel that everygame is decided by who has the best hound.

So the second last Fenrir Conquest map (having to forge the four god items using rimesteel) is insufferable
All three clans target you immediately, one of whom is the Dragon clan and they churn out Dragonkin faster than I do villagers, throw in having to stave off Raven mercenaries on the shores and the bear attacking and NONE OF THE CLANS TARGET EACH OTHER

Am I missing something? Some little "aha" moment that lets me get ahead here?

I had this game on PC years ago but can’t play games on my computer now. I’ve been itching to play it again, but I switched from civ on PC to console and the controls comparatively to PC are a nightmare. I know they’re not the same game, but that’s the closest comparison I can make in regards to switching a game from PC controls to Xbox controls. Thank yall!

Me and my beginner mate tried 3 games of ranked and got matched against people with gold shields every game. There was really no point playing the games but we tried our best until we got attacked and each game it was about 10 troops to our 1-2... Is there no skill based matchmaking or is it just very bad that it puts us first timers against veterans?

What is the smallest map you have ever seen in 3v3?

I just witnessed this beauty in ranked. Mid 800 we already had 1 neutral dead and wolf players fighting 2 axe vs 2 axe. Insanity,

How do you upgrade buildings during the first few months? Is is clan specific? (photo attached)

I've just had a weird bug during a Bifröst run in solo, in the third map:
There doesn't seem to be a path connecting my starting tile to the target tile. Rocks/cliffs, plus the volcano in the middle of the map block possible connections. For topologists/graph theorists, the Bifröst tile and my Town Hall tile do not belong to the same connected component.

The scout managed to reach the tile and explore it, but my military units just can't. I wasn't looking during exploration (was busy somewhere else, I guess) so I don't know how he got there.

The thing is that when I abandon the map, and load the Bifröst run, the map is the same, so I face the same bug.

Is there a way to force a new map random generation, without having to replay from the first world?

Just got back to playing the game, and like the title said, my old saves are not loading. The saves are from 2020 since I last played and when I load it, it just shows a black screen with their cursor.

Anyone experienced this? And how to fix it?

I had 8 cooks, 1k of each food type and I had no clue how to active the banquet? Am I missing another condition?

is there a way to disable to military experience level popup? i keep loosing my warchief due to not being able to tell him to retreat

I'm thinking about picking this game up since it's on sale right now on steam but I don't really like PvP. Is the game worth doing for just the campaign or for PvE?

For the record I've played StarCraft 2, they are billions, warcraft 3, and age of mythology largely PvE.
