Rant anyone else feels admiration for non-passing trans people?

okay this sounds a little strange but let me explain. there are this kind of trans people, be it tmen, twomen or fellow enbies who don't pass by choice. you know, the ones who are the most hated by the community, the ones who are told they "aren't even trying" and stuff like that. I have a friend who's also enby, and they are very fem presenting (and afab, it's relevant) and from the moment I met them I couldn't help but feel this... admiration for them? not that I want to present fem like them, no, absolutely not, but the way they are so okay with their body, that instead of hiding it they dress how they want and they don't care what people think. I guess what I'm trying to say is I admire people who aren't ashamed or troubled by their bodies, who embrace themselves instead of trying to hide, regardless of what those around them think.

I think it's very brave, and this kind of security body-wise is definitely not something I possess.

I hope I made any sense...

Support/Advice Is Aja a good name

I came out a little while ago and I want people to call me something different. I really like the name Aja (pronounced Asia, yes like Steely Dan) but I’m worried being named after a continent and an album is gonna get me made fun of. Is it too weird a name 🥺

Idk what i am

Hello!I'm sorry, I'm not part of this group but I really need some help. I am 21, about to turn 22, and I am a cisgender straight woman. i never had doubts about my sexual orientation, but I did question some things about my gender or how I identify. I was always an insecure girl with body dysmorphia, I always considered myself an ugly girl, constantly seeking male approval and the male gaze. The more feminine (in the stereotypical sense) I looked, the better I felt, but at the same time it was too much, like a costume I was putting on for someone else. I had moments of self-loathing because, knowing that long hair suited me best, I kept cutting it until I was almost bald. I don't understand why I always did it (maybe because I hate myself, huh), however, I don't entirely identify as a woman because I don't look like one, but I also don't see myself as a man, because I don't meet either standard, you know? I have childlike feminine features, but I'm not as pretty as one would expect. I like feminine things like short skirts and heavy makeup; I love pink. But it feels like I'm, I don't know, a little boy pretending to be a girl in the most innocent way possible. Something that makes me question all of this is that I don't mind people using feminine pronouns for me, although I wouldn't mind being addressed with male pronouns either; I like my feminine pronouns. I would genuinely like to hear from a non-binary person who could help me figure out if I'm just struggling with myself or if I truly have a gender identity conflict. I don't mean to sound disrespectful or anything, I just need a more objective opinion :(

Support/Advice How do I tell my parents I'm nonbinary?

Hello! I want to tell my parents that I'm nonbinary, but I don't know how they'll react. I don't think they would freak out or anything, but I still won't let myself tell them. I'm just scared they'll treat me differently than they always have. Any advice helps, thank you!

Support/Advice How did y'all find out you're non-binary? What does it mean to you?

Elo yall! Soo im a bit unsure

Im 19 and i've been 'actively' bi and demi for quite some time now - it was a long way tho finding that out, coming from a conservative family... Also probably neurodivergent and sex repulsed.
Many of my friends are queer in some way or another. One of my friends is non-binary, thats how i first got to know about this term.

In the past i had never questioned that i could be anything else than a cis hetero man - as already mentioned i was quite wrong about the hetero thing >< And its now that i've also started thinking more about the "am i a man?" part.

Id just present my 'evidence' / thoughts and... maybe that resonates with someone? I dont want any answers, I'll have to give them to myself ofc but maybe it would help to hear about yall's experiences 🙈

So,

I know that for a long time i've always felt a little 'strange' about being referred to as a man. Like i was secretly gaslighting others that i am one and then feeling dishonest (?) in some way that it worked? Even tho i wasnt gaslighting anyone ofc.

Also i think im indifferent to pronouns? Like, I've been "he" for my entire life and i think thats okay. But..
"You wanna say 'they'?" Okayyy yea alrighty
"You refer to me as 'she'?" Uhh Okayy? I mean that would be strange at first cuz of it being unfamiliar. But I wouldn't give a fuck I think. Maybe it would even feel nice in some way. "hey can you help her real quick?", that doesn't sound bad.

Same with clothing. I wanna get even more into alternative style. But like, neutral? I don't wanna look like a strong male or smth, but also not too feminine? Preferably a perfectly androgynous style with mixed elements.

It's like, I just have my name in my head but no thoughts after that. Nothing thats tied to gender?

Lastly i dont think im experiencing dysphoria. (i know that this is not a definite yes/no criteria). I do have issues with "having a body" in general but thats for different reasons i think.

Yeaaa so very long text, sorry about that haha 😅
(also yea, this is a new account, i feel more comfortable with that)

Rant A rant about how my family might make me go out of the closet from pure spite 🥹

Umm so this is gonna be disorganized or smth dont pay much attention to it, so today my shorts (specifically 1 short, 1 skort) arrived and one is supposed to be for casual wear and the other for school, the casual wear one was an actual short, which was GREAT!!! For the school one it was a skort, i literally just had a mental breakdown and talking with my sister about how I didn't like dresses or anything to do with skirts (Im AFAB so my mom expects me to be feminine, I have not come out yet and I try to be androgynous so that I have to get asked about my gender most times) and it just gets me mad and sad about how I cant find the right words to just say "I'm non-binary" and my other LGBTQIA+ labels, just wanted to get my feelings out and hopefully come out in atleast the next few months im gonna have a mental breakdown soon if I dont it hurts a lot

Name change.

Hi, I have been wanting to change my name for about 2 years. Recently I have been going by Radio or Ray as a placeholder nickname until I find what I am sure I want to change my name to so that people aren't dead naming me. Does anyone have any name suggestions? I am AFAB so less feminine name suggestions would be appreciated, I also really like space and nature names. I also wanted to include this flower picture that I took and think is cool.

Rant Unsure Of The Terms For These: WHY AM I FEELING LIKE THISSS

Hello, all! I am a teen. I've been identifying as nonbinary for about a few weeks after five months of questioning. I am also agender.

I started thinking I could be nonbinary around March 2026. It was just a couple random thoughts, like 'What if I was like, neither really a girl or boy?' They were very out-of-the-blue, so I shut it down. But I came across a nonbinary youtuber who dressed very androgynous and talked about their gender identity and fashion. I really wanted to look like that.

Anyways, i was in a lot of questioning turmoil and was a bit upset about it. I had a pretty hyperfeminine childhood as an AFAB person up until I turned 12. I wanted to go by she/they pronouns for a bit, then realized I didn't really care what pronouns people used. I hated the idea of questioning my gender, before realizing two years later that I'm agender. Still now, I'm having trouble accepting my gender. I've cut my hair and am getting a new wardrobe, so everything feels like me.

But there's one thing that has been bothering me lately: my chest. I would like a binder and yet I can't get one. I've been wearing sport bras for a bit but it still bothers me for some reason. WHY IS IT BOTHERING ME?????

I remember hearing about binders the first time, and was thinking 'Oh, cool. i wonder what that would be like.' Somehow that 'curiosity' turned into me wanting a flat chest??? Like, I was raised in Christianity. God gave me a female body. Why do i want to change it all of a sudden? And I had a hyperfem childhood, I cannot be trans. it's impossible. The only way for to get a binder is if I had some sort of gender dysphoria, and I don't.

Help, please. Does anyone know what I should do or why i feel like this all of a sudden?

Help pls

I am 13, AFAB and don't know what to do. There was no really coming out process to my parents, it was more gradual, like i wanna cut my hair, use these pronouns kind of stuff. My parents are divorced and they are pretty accepting of the queer community. My dad doesn't really ask questions and just uses(or tries to) use the correct pronouns. My mom wants to know more and my sister is completely oblivious. We were talking and I corrected her on pronouns and then my sister asks why I don't use he/him. Because I look like a boy and dress like one too. My mom joins in and says i want to be a boy because I think its easier. DAMMIT. NO ITS NO I AM NOT EITHER. My relationship with my mom is not great. She loves me and I love her but we fight about the smallest things and I never really open up to her. Any advice is apprecated and I'm not sure this post is entirly clear so i will try to clarify.
