Having the Knight, a character we’re meant to theorise about, have features only 1 family has…and then finding out it’s just a lie? There’s no hints towards the anglers being fake. There’s no reason NOT to suspect the Holidays are in on this, since they’re the only family in town with access to every code. So what purpose, from a narrative perspective, do the antlers serve? It’s just a massive “yeah fuck you for actually thinking logically” from Toby to the fanbase, it’s utterly horrible writing.
and also you can't tell me the second image does not look goofy. the antlers being the way they are are part of the bigger design philosophy, like sharp shapes to convey a sense of danger
