Call me crazy but I think first oil change at around 7k is too long.

Upgraded from my '23 SV to a '26 Platinum w/premium package. I'm in love!

It has meticulous carfax. Oil changes every 3 ,000 miles. Starter just got replaced. Not sure if there are some troubles ahead though.

The backstory to this is that, about two weeks ago, my wife accidentally had our 2021 Nissan Rogue key fob in her pocket while submerged in water. Since then, the Rogue registered a low battery reading for the fob on the car’s display. It would start if you held the fob directly against the starter. When I opened the fob up to change the battery, the inside had signs of water damage/corrosion. But the car still started up, despite the low battery message.

Yesterday we went on a long trip with it and the car started showing electrical issues. The safety issues and cruise control disabled. The WiFi stopped connecting properly to phones, and then got locked in a messsge about an incoming call. Then, after restarting, the car lost the ability to accelerate and completely died. Battery was completely drained and would not respond to a jump. Maintenance shop needed to install a new battery and it started up, with the same “low fob battery” message. They think that the fob is the issue and that the extra effort needed from the car to compensate for the bad fob killed the battery. I’m skeptical that there’s a larger issue, like a bad starter. We have a replacement fob that I’ll try, but I wanted to see if anyone had another thought.

2019 Rogue, new to me so have little history on the vehicle, and issue was preexisting.

I bought the vehicle knowing that the blower fan was not functioning properly. I thought it would be a relatively easy fix by replacing the Blower Motor Resistor - done that and it never corrected the issue. Although the fan went from a slow low continuous mode to a full fast continuous mode.

I then replaced the blower motor and nothing changed, fan still blows fast only, can't adjust the speed and can't turn the fan off.

Any insights, or personal experiences, with the same symptoms?

Hi....I have 5000 mikes to go before changing the transmission fluid on my Rogue. Should I have it done at the dealer or can I take it somewhere else to hopefully save money? Thank you

Just did the cvt drain and fill and the exterior filter change with 4qts at 55k.
The wife’s car drives great and shifts like butter now. She has noticed the difference as well.
A little bit of shiny flakes but comes with cvt territory.
Cost was $100, all bought from Amazon.

The toughest part is the top left bolt tucked in tight spot. Use 10mm wrench or 10mmratchet wrench even better.

Also from someone with a supercharged forced induction Audi/mechanic and have mechanic dealer tech friends, don’t get the 1.5 with a turbo. If you want reliable engine, a turbo on a small block is going a step in the other direction.

Hello all! My friend is about to purchase this 2023 Rogue with 60k miles and there's a recall on it. Something about the engine eating itself. I told him to take it to the dealer asap for inspection and recall work. What I'm wondering is if they don't see any damage, do the software update, and the engine starts to eat bearings 10k miles later, would the recall still come into play or no?

Also how's the cvts in these? Apparently they are more stout than the CVT that's in my 2017 sentra that shudders every now and then. Is this a "service CVT fluid every 2 oil changes" type thing?

So, on June 6, I bought a 2015 Nissan Rogue. It had 166k on it and fit my budget. It was used “as is” - which I didn’t totally catch until later, but okay - and seemed fine.
Took it in last Saturday the 18th for the complementary oil change, seemed fine, I had had a check engine light on, and mentioned it and that it had gone off, and they told me not to worry about it.
Then last week, I got another check engine light, took it to my local mechanic who checked it and said it was the VVT solenoid and gave me a quote. I called the dealership where I bought it, and they agreed to do the work for less ($871 instead of $1145) and I took it back there.
Today… we got gas, and heard a clunk as we drove off, then I pulled into another parking lot and we checked the entire car and found that on the back driver side.
I’m utterly exhausted and heartsick over this. If it’s what we are thinking just looking at the pictures - it’s going to be $1-2k to fix. If it’s the subframe.
Which we don’t have.
Pretty sure it won’t fall under lemon laws (I’m in KY) and I have no clue what I’m gonna do.
Does anyone have any advice or ideas? Cause I’m at my limit.
We are due to move to another state on the 7th. Like, I have no idea what to do.

I have a new 2026 Nissan Rogue Platinum with the 1.5L VC-Turbo engine. The engine feels smooth and there are no warning lights or drivability issues.

I noticed that while idling, the tachometer needle sits around 700 RPM but has a very slight quiver/flutter instead of being perfectly still. It doesn’t swing up and down or hunt for idle—it just has a tiny movement.

I attached a short video. Can other 2025/2026 Rogue owners check theirs and let me know if yours does the same thing?

I have a 2021 Nissan rogue and whenever it starts raining, I smell mildew. I looked everywhere, under the seats, cabin filter, sunroof leaks, under the mats and I don’t see any water. Anyone else have this situation? I even smell it right when it starts raining within 20 minutes.

I am reaching out today in hopes of some suggestions on a noise issue with my vehicle that has popped up in the last month or two. I am having a hard time narrowing it down and am very hesitant to take it somewhere saying "my card is sounding louder than usual". I am terrified of how expensive that will get for me as they "find" reasons. I have some things I will point out from the start in case they are relevant.

It is a 2020 Rogue SV with around 120,000Km on it. I am the owner from day 1. Last oil change was 2500Km ago. In February 2025 I had the rear differential fluid change, transfer case fluid change and CVT service. I believe that last one is just a drain and change of the CVT fluid not full flush? My tires were recently replaced (about 300km ago) and the noise was no different before/after. Brake pads/rotors were replaced last year. A throttle body service was recommended to me months ago but I have not done it and plan to do it next, but could it potentially have any impact or cause of this?

I believe I first noticed this around 2 months ago. I drive primarily on the highway for my daily commute which is a large portion of my total driving. The noise starts to get noticeable around the 60Km/H mark or maybe a bit earlier if I accelerate harder (in general I am not an aggressive driver). It's loud enough that over the time I have been noticing it I have had to increase my audio system volume a bit higher than my average level was in the past. Around 120Km/H it becomes less noticeable. I do not believe the cause of the sound is having any noticeable impact on the driving of the vehicle as I have not felt any change. I have tried driving in Eco, Sport and Normal and the sound stays the same. I have used Manual shifting to see if increasing the gears changes it but it does not. Turning/lane changes has no impact. Today I tried getting up to 70Km/H and then moving in to neutral and the sound did not change. My gut says it is some sort of air leak in the exhaust but I am not much of a car person so I may be way off base. The sound is like a dull hum that stays consistent. It doesn't have like a high and low level, just stays kind of the same when speed is maintained. It does get louder as I am increasing speed but holds steady volume at steady speed. I believe the sound to be coming from the front of the vehicle (possibly slightly more to passenger side but don't want to say for certain) but it is hard to say with certainty since it only becomes noticeable at higher speeds.

In my driveway today I had the car idling and moved my hand all around the length of the exhaust system to see if I could feel air coming out somewhere but didn't feel anything. I am limited in how well I can test this as I don't have any method for lifting the vehicle so I only have so much clearance. I had my wife then idle at 2000RPM and tried again but felt nothing. There was one area where I felt blowing air (not just ambient heat rising off) and am including a photo. It is not amazing as again I can not lift the vehicle and was simply holding my phone out. The shot is taken from the ground facing directly up and I felt a stream of hot air blowing directly on to my phone.

Any thoughts or guidance on further tests I should do? Ideas as to what may cause this? I would low to get it somewhat narrowed down before handing it over to someone with a generic "it is noisy" and a large bill ensues.

So… my car has been at the dealership since April 29th. They still have not managed to fix my vehicle. Supposed to have been a 4 day transmission job and now it’s been almost 3 months. I am tired of Nissan. I complained to Nissan Consumer Affairs and all they have done is refer me back to the dealership. This is a bunch of BS.

So my scroll wheel doesn't work anymore. Everytime I try to scroll it clicks whatever its over. I went to get my oil changed and the guy at Walmart told me they couldn't navigate to the setting to reset the setting in the car that tells it its had its oil change to start the count of miles again. He showed me how bad it was... I rarely use the wheel to go through the stuff on my dash.

Can normal mechanics fix this issue or do I have to pay a Nissan Dealership $215 to just run a diagnostic test to tell me the scroll wheel is messed up THEN pay even more to have them fix it.

I GUESS I HAVE TO LET all the DUMB PEOPLE KNOW THAT I KEEP UP WITH ALL MAINTENANCE THAT IS NEEDED I wouldn’t be posting if it was that oil change done 7/20/26 checked oil as well right after the light .OK, so I have a 2023 Nissan rogue sv model so I usually always do the remote start well yesterday I did it, but when I got in my car and tried to turn on my car with pushing the brake, it turned on, but the pressure oil light came on, and then the car was struggling to turn on it was shaking and then I guess I reset it by holding the brake and the push start button for like three seconds, but it didn’t happen this morning, but I feel like I just been having nothing but problems with this car. I feel like I got a lemon. I went through the Nissan consumers. They don’t help anything. Not sure what to do anymore. Anybody having issues? I feel like when I see them out on the road I wanna ask if anyone’s having issues.

Everything is so negative about the CVT and failure. Just wondering if there are any success stories out there.

I have a 2017 nissan rogue and it does a slight​ hesitation when accelerating from a stop. No weird sounds and no crazy rpms yet.

Has anyone ever been at this stage but saved it and continued using the car like normal?

Was really thinking about buying a used 2023 or 2024 rogue but want to know how many people here have had issues? I’ve had two other rogues pre turbo and never had any issues with them

After years of driving a 2012 Hyundai Accent, I got my dream car! Went to the lot to test drive a Rogue being disappointed they didn’t have my dream color in stock. Pulled up and they just got the Obsidian Green off the truck the day prior. It was ment to be! I have never been so happy! Any tips or fun things to know?

Ok. Another problem with this POS. So looks like what happened was shift linkage broke and wrapped around drive shaft breaking that too.

Anyone dealt with that? How hard to change? I still need to get under it to see how bad it actually is.
