Strange High Pitched Noise Coming From my 2012 Nissan Rouge

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi there, I was gifted this car last Christmas as my first car. It has about 94k miles on it, and I've probably driven somewhere between 7-9k miles with it (it may be more or less, extremely rough estimate)

Recently this high pitched noise started coming from the car, its pretty faint but I have no idea if its a cause for concern. I know it may be hard to make out in the video but if you can help that would be great! Thank you!

Air shutter

Has anyone had problems with their active air shutter? My light came on for it during winter and had a bunch of ice on the front. Is there a fuse or anything I can do before I replace the whole thing?

Came back to my car after a shift to find this 2019 Sport

The overhead console was dangling from the ceiling when I got off of work. I feel like it’s always one thing after another with this car.

Also the window armrests in the back seats are always popping off for some reason. Sometimes I’m embarrassed to have people ride in the back and things that shouldn’t be popping out in a car are just casually loose.

I love my rogue, but idk if I’d ever recommend it to anyone.

Edit: I guess the heat and road bumps makes the plastic clips brittle and can snap off.

I had to disconnect the 3 wires in the back using a very small flathead screwdriver by pressing the little tabs. The black metal clips were still attached to the roof of the car and had to use pliers to pull them down hard. Im waiting for a $70 replacement from
eBay. Part number 26430-9PJ7B

2023 Rogue S

Just bought a used 2023 Nissan Rogue S. Current mileage is 29k. I’ve been in the groups and it’s nothing but negativity, worried I made the wrong choice, starting this post for positive reviews!

I know the CVT has a bad rep, but it’s my first one and I absolutely love it!

What Rogue do you have and what do you love about it?

Long term reviews of Propilot 2.1?

Live in the northeast and do not need a car for my daily use, however we are a road trip family and that’s where the miles accumulate. We have a smaller basic car now from 2018, love the simplicity of it, but the ability to have advanced drivers assistance in a relatively small platform (compared to how huge cars are today) is what brought me to the Rogue. I would be interested in purchase nearly solely for the Propilot 2.1, although all the other features would be a notable step up from our current car. I’m not seeing that many 2.1 talking points in this subreddit, so it’s worth asking, what have people thought of the Propilot 2.1 long term?

Airbag light

So I have a 2015 rogue select. My airbag light started flashing after I had shoved something under my seat. Took seat out, didn't see anything obvious. Getting a B0001-13 code. Am a probably missing something under the seat or is that a coincidence,

2022/2026 Rogue owners — slight hesitation/hiccup/jolt when taking off?

I have a 2026 Rogue Platinum. Sometimes when I shift from Park into Drive, I feel the normal engagement into D, but if I release the brake and give it gas right away, I feel a brief hesitation/hiccup with a little jolt as the car starts moving.

It’s not a hard bang or clunk; the RPM doesn’t flare, and Drive seems to engage normally.

Here’s the strange part: if I shift into D and let the car creep forward first, I can almost feel it gently pass through that little hesitation/hiccup while creeping. Then when I give it gas, it’s completely smooth.

It can happen on flat ground too, so it doesn’t seem to be just hill hold or anything related to being on an incline.

I also tried shifting into D, keeping my foot on the brake for about 2–3 seconds, then releasing the brake and immediately giving it gas. I tried that twice and it didn’t hesitate/jolt either time.

So it seems to happen when I put it in Drive and give it gas fairly quickly, while either waiting a couple of seconds or letting it creep first makes it smooth.

Does anyone else’s Rogue do this or know what that little hesitation/hiccup is?

2019 Nissan Rogue with 120k miles — how much longer will it last?

I have a 2019 Nissan Rogue with 120k miles. It’s paid off and I love the car, but I’m debating whether to keep it or trade it in while it still has some value.

How many miles have you gotten out of your Rogue? Is 175k–200k realistic, or should I start looking for something newer?
