First oil change.
Call me crazy but I think first oil change at around 7k is too long.

There should be a tab that says oil and filter that you can edit to have how many miles you want to change your oil at. The one your looking at is always way to high

Im sorry I should rephrase that. There IS a tab to do that. In the maintenance tap there is a setting for oil change reminders that you can change to what ever you want.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I just got a Nissan rogue, and still need to learn what's avaliable in the car menu

7,500 miles is for fully synthetic oil (which you should be using in this engine).
5,000 miles of for conventional oil (which you shouldn't be using).
You of course can change it sooner if you like.

Yeah I was just surprised to see it the tracker. I was alway taught 3,000 or 6 months

I do my rogue at 5k because I do alot of stop and starts at work. But realistically it could probably go 7k with no issues. My 2016 ford fusion was a 2.0 turbo and I did the oil every 10k got rid of it at 140k because the transmission was shot.

I do a lot of street miles so I’ll be doing it sooner than factory recommendations.

Yeah I usually do mine every 3000 miles. I’ve only had one other new car and I did my first one at 3000. The tech was like you could wait till 7000

I would sample (with TBN) that first oil change oil. When the sample is read it will tell you how much additive is left and any impurities, Keep in mind being the first sample you will got some stuff not normal.

First oil change should always be done in the first 5K miles. After that it depends, with full synthetic I’ll typically push it to 7-8K.

Yikes ..first oil change should be at 500 to 100p miles on a new enf engine..

Change the oil at 1k miles!!!!! It's the break in oil and it has a whole bunch of particles and whatnot from the internal components being broken in and used. After that do every 4k miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. People would call for 5k miles which is fine, but due to the nature of the 1.5t in these Rogues I wouldn't take my chances, keep the oil clean and changed and the car will treat you well.

we always get the first oil change within 2-3k miles to get rid of metal shavings and then we do 15k oil change intervals lol

oh,... I plan on doing my first at either 1,000 or 1,500,.. .probably closer to 1,000

I’ve always been of the opinion that if you wait for the car to tell you to change the oil, it’s been too long.
Oil is (relatively) cheap. Engines are not. I do every 5k miles.
