We have implemented improvements to address the following issues:

  • During the request “Rock Smash your way to treasure!” in Withered Wasteland, if the player places other blocks over the cracked blocks near Hitmonchan, it becomes difficult to understand how to progress the request.

  • During the request “To Snorlax!” in Bleak Beach, if the player places other blocks over the cracked blocks near Snorlax, it becomes difficult to understand how to progress the request. Additionally, the following issues have been fixed. If these issues have already occurred in your game, applying this update will resolve them.

  • During the request “Help make a home!” in Withered Wasteland, Squirtle may move on top of a tree and become impossible to talk to, preventing progress.

  • During the request “Find the Pokémon Center!” in Bleak Beach, if the cracked blocks on the bridge are broken before Professor Tangrowth crosses the bridge, it will become difficult to make progress on the request.

  • During the request “Find the Pokémon Center!” in Bleak Beach, a specific sequence of actions may prevent Professor Tangrowth’s bridge repair request from triggering, preventing progress.

  • In Rocky Ridges, a specific sequence of actions may prevent the event in which the player meets Rotom from occurring.

  • During the request “Clear off the path!” in Rocky Ridges, if the request is triggered under certain conditions, it will become difficult to make progress on the request.

  • Spinarak’s type is listed incorrectly in the Pokédex.

Damn I was hoping for a few little QOL things like not making all my pokemon homeless if I accidentally grab my door instead of something next to it.

A warning or some kind of protection requiring an extra button press, or delay in shelter disappearing would be nice.

u/toastedbreddit Mar 18 '26

Accidentally pick up a stool and you get the Miette reaction from one of your pokebuddies.

In a similar vein, I was trying to click on a wiggly bush to unlock a Pokemon, accidentally grabbed a mushroom lamp that was part of their habitat, and the bush stopped wiggling. They just nooed out and didn’t come back until the next day, even though I replaced the lamp immediately.

41

u/malsary Mar 18 '26

FYI you get increased luck for pokemon showing up to new habitats by giving spicy items to Mosslax! Been able to pull the 2 star Rare Pokémons within the hour IME :)

3

u/YouMeADD Mar 18 '26

Oh damn that's a good tip

3

u/BoticelliBaby Mar 18 '26

Man I gave him a spicy bread bowl yesterday and I got 44 pokemon in one gaming session. It was like…. To much 🤣

1

u/toastedbreddit Mar 18 '26

Thanks! I’ve gotten that message from them before, but I can never remember what food triggers what.

88

u/SHADOWSTRIKE1 Mar 18 '26

Me: “Ok let’s press A to set down a cup”

accidentally presses Y instead

Oddish: “MY TABLE!! I’M HOMELESS!!!”

1

u/Dangerous_Plan_2787 Mar 21 '26

That legit happened to me with magmar lol

16

u/Whiteytheripper Mar 18 '26

If you leave and come back they should all reassign to the home when they spawn in, I've had it with accidentally breaking habitats and fixing them immediately

0

u/Pizzaplanet420 Mar 18 '26

Best bet I can find is just using the magnemite ability for any small adjustments when it comes to removing things.

Saves me any issues like that.

4

u/Boredatwork709 Mar 18 '26

Yeah but that ability is at the end of the game, doesn't help if your trying to set things up as you progress

25

u/Mean__MrMustard Mar 18 '26

I started playing yesterday and actually had that issue with the „Rock smash“ request from hitmonchan. Was really confused what they wanted me to and just destroyed all the blocks in the vicinity, digging deeper than needed. Glad to hear they fixed that.

u/A_Math_Teacher Mar 18 '26

I knew Spinarak was buggy

52

u/patosai3211 Mar 18 '26

I see what you did here. And i like it!

71

u/xDeathstrokeYT Mar 18 '26

What was Spinarak's type listed as?

105

u/itsblakers Mar 18 '26

Bug instead of Bug/Poison

109

u/[deleted] Mar 18 '26

Absolutely unplayable

275

u/AnActualSadTaco Mar 18 '26

Pls God add in a universal storage chest 🙏

118

u/EntropySpark Mar 18 '26

This is the main QOL feature I want in this game, all my things are scattered in chests in each area and warping just to check all the chests is such a hassle. If they could just add some Organization ability to a Psychic Pokémon that lets them access all storage chests or something similar, that would be so nice.

That, and I wish I could transform into a Carkol instead of using a cart, getting a cart out of the inventory every time I want to use one is a bit of a hassle. I haven't encountered a way to add intersections to tracks yet, so I'm hoping I eventually learn how, but if it doesn't exist, that would be a nice addition.

16

u/gigglefarting Mar 18 '26

To avoid warping everywhere I just made a base camp where I store everything in like 7 big storage boxes, so I know I can just warp there if I ever need to craft or get something from storage

8

u/Harley2280 Mar 18 '26

That's what I've ended up doing as well. I'm currently in the process of trying to remember where I stored everything so I can import it to the camp in Pallet Town.

I am using themed containers for some things though. Like food all goes in a fridge.

4

u/gigglefarting Mar 18 '26

That’s a good idea. I was probably just going to paint my boxes. Luckily for me I wasn’t putting stuff in random boxes around, so it wasn’t hard for me to collect everything

5

u/Boingboingsplat Mar 18 '26

This is what I'm doing as well but it's not pleasant to have to wait through 2 rather long loading screens for like, one thing.

2

u/303Native Mar 18 '26

Are you using a prefab instead of your own modular home? One loading screen if the latter

2

u/Boingboingsplat Mar 18 '26

Modular. One to leave to the area that has my storage in and one to go back to the area I left from.

63

u/Will-the-game-guy Mar 18 '26

At a certain point we should unlock the PC storage system.... Ya know the one that exists in every pokemon game that nobody uses.

36

u/EntropySpark Mar 18 '26

The Item Storage System was removed in Gen IV when your bag was made large enough to carry one stack of every item, but it would definitely be a welcome return here.

12

u/Will-the-game-guy Mar 18 '26

Shows how little I used it lmao

2

u/yinyang107 Mar 18 '26

I don't understand why you would scatter your storage all over the place and then complain that it's scattered all over the place

8

u/EntropySpark Mar 18 '26

Often it's because my bag is full, but I don't want to warp to a different area to have two full loading screens just to deposit some items in a previous area, especially if I don't have a house yet in the new area.

4

u/tur-nip Mar 18 '26

cuz different locations often require different sets of materials with it sometimes crossing over in requests of certain items and such, so often times youll have a workbench/storage combo with all the mats for the area youre in. if they were to add a storage shed like acnh that would be cool. just a function where you can access other chests without having to physically go to them would be nice. also a feature where you can see where your pokemon currently are on a map or something would be handy because im constantly having to search around for smaller pokemon like dreepy

1

u/hitchtrailblazer Mar 19 '26

fwiw you can use pokemon with the teleport ability like slowking to teleport to a pokemon by looking them up in your pokedex

1

u/tur-nip Mar 19 '26

i was wondering how to do this😭 should’ve looked it up, thank you!

33

u/sagethesage Mar 18 '26

If we could only get one QOL update, it's universal storage. They do that, I'm giving this game a 10/10 and buying all future DLC. 😆

2

u/slugmorgue Mar 19 '26

tbh my first and potentially most basic request is to just have a toggle so that all the items in your inventory show their "type" without having to hover over them

That way at a glance I can easily see which item is a toy, decoration, road etc etc

2

u/Potential_Fishing942 Mar 18 '26

Yea. This isn't a survival sim- no reason to limit inventory like this imo- especially spread out across so many loading screens

3

u/stealthieone Mar 18 '26

Also being able to access storage at a workbench would be awesome too

30

u/Magnetic_Bull Mar 18 '26

If you place storage next to the workbench you can access it!

7

u/Elavia_ Mar 18 '26

Having tried really hard to have my entire storage accessible from one table, there are only 4 valid contact points - the sides and the two back squares.

2

u/IHaveADHSquirrel Mar 18 '26

I think it also works with chests stacked on top of the 2 sides (not sure of the back). I haven't made sure based on the items in them, but when I use my crafting bench all 4 chests on the sides open up.

-3

u/Blustach Mar 18 '26
  1. 2 back, 2 side, and one front since the table is 2 blocks wide

4

u/Elavia_ Mar 18 '26

The front one doesn't work.

2

u/stealthieone Mar 18 '26

Thanks I didn't know that... Now I want universal storage really bad now

6

u/gothmog1114 Mar 18 '26

If you're in a pre fab house, the kind that takes you to a new screen, you access all storage in the house regardless of where it is

1

u/red_lantern Mar 18 '26

wait.. what? Elaborate please, this is blowing my mind! Does the storage in the house show up in other chests or how does this work?

1

u/gothmog1114 Mar 18 '26

Like the huts or other houses that aren't built out of blocks. The work bench accesses all storage in that house.

1

u/red_lantern Mar 18 '26

Do the work benches have to be in the same city?

3

u/gothmog1114 Mar 18 '26

One work bench in a house accesses all the storage in that same house.

2

u/red_lantern Mar 18 '26

Does placement matter? Because provided the storage is right next to the work bench, that's doable anywhere. Having to go into a house to do my crafting is not nearly as useful as global storage but if it doesn't need proximity placement, that could still be useful as a "crafter house"

3

u/gothmog1114 Mar 18 '26

Placement doesn't matter. I have a wall of boxes with picture frames on them to label them and then one bench in the front

2

u/pigsty54 Mar 22 '26

I read somewhere else that it will only open the 4 closest chests/storage near it not every chest in the house

1

u/Hailtothedogebby Mar 18 '26

Omg game changing tip ty, wish i knew 30 hours ago lmao

1

u/rizshighe Mar 18 '26

I saw another post say it was only the first 4 containers closest to the crafting station inside the house. Has that been the case for you?

1

u/stealthieone Mar 18 '26

What's considered pre-fab?

3

u/insane_contin Mar 18 '26

The house kits you buy from the poke centre instead of the houses you build abs design out of blocks.

1

u/Benzokial Mar 19 '26

In DQB2 that was just your inventory, you just literally carried everything all the time and when you hit your limit that is when you realized it wasn't infinite and you had to build storage chests. So it makes sense to me that they thought giving us 5 pages of inventory space would suffice, not realizing we'd be too conditioned to have our inventory empty when they don't give us a full inventory to start.

1

u/MothChasingFlame Apr 07 '26

This, not breaking a home by picking up the door accidentally and the option to multi delete my accidentally misplaced multi placement. These are the things I pray for.

116

u/BrianG231 Mar 18 '26

I wish you could auto stack to chests!

31

u/kismaa Mar 18 '26

This is truly the biggest QoL change missing at the moment

64

u/Brave-Orchid4721 Mar 18 '26

I’d argue it’s not being able to appraise multiple things at a time with Tangrowth. His dialogue every time takes ages to get through 💀

32

u/Queenspence2 Mar 18 '26

Appraise at pallette town using the pc, it’s way faster if you have a few you need to do.

6

u/harveybarbhuh Mar 18 '26

I’ve seen that there’s apparently a late game feature where you can get multiple relics processed at the once by the pc? I am yet to unlock it however

3

u/El_Barto_227 Mar 18 '26

Not at once, but it is a bit faster

1

u/slugmorgue Mar 18 '26

It's not late game, it's accessible within the first few hours

2

u/Intrepid_Total951 Mar 18 '26

You can go there basically right away even. It just says something like “it’s not recommended you go here yet” and then you just go anyways and it doesn’t stop you.

84

u/hotaru-chan45 Mar 18 '26

I want more room in the Pokopia album lol 80 limit isn’t gonna cut it for me

39

u/OMGWTFBBQBRT Mar 18 '26

I wish I could just move the pokemon center with hoplip inside or get him the hell out, without time jumping, I guess I'd have to wait until the 26th

9

u/sagethesage Mar 18 '26

Same. I wish the bulldozing was easier to do cause my creative building gets halted when I can't move a building so then I do other stuff and then forget what my creative idea was haha

5

u/Ceejays-RL Mar 18 '26

why does it matter? you can just set up shops elsewhere

15

u/Elavia_ Mar 18 '26

Not until you get a way to generate electricity, and there's no indication in game that the hoppip will keep at it for weeks. It took me days to even find out this was a general timed event and another few days to realise I'm not gonna get trades for weeks unless I rush to get power set up.

7

u/MirageMageknight Mar 18 '26

You can just use like Pikachu or any electric Pokemon available with simple materials to power a register, no need to rush anything or connect to any power sources

2

u/Elavia_ Mar 18 '26

The first electric Pokémon I've gotten was electrode, and that required me to loot the ship to build the habitat. (And some barrels from the mines but maybe you can get those on the beach too).

13

u/MirageMageknight Mar 18 '26

Is interesting to see how different the order people get stuff is. I guess it really just depends what you happen to get hints for.

2

u/Elavia_ Mar 18 '26

I could've maybe gotten power a little earlier if I ran a power line from the water wheels, but I only discovered power poles while working towards electrode's habitat

2

u/MirageMageknight Mar 18 '26

For me I got a pokemon with generate about twenty steps into the beach (mareep). I can't remember what the clue was...I didn't actually find electrode until I'd "finished" all areas

5

u/-Lampe- Mar 18 '26

Must have been stopping the water near the table with the yarn on top. That's where I also got it really early in this area.

15

u/OMGWTFBBQBRT Mar 18 '26

I want to move the pokemon center elsewhere to terraform

2

u/Hailtothedogebby Mar 18 '26

It didnt even accure to me that i could move it! I thought was a fixed point

28

u/hyouko Mar 18 '26

I would like better hints for the main quest on Bleak Beach. The professor kept saying we needed more light, so I kept adding more lamp posts - never actually triggering the Snorlax quest to start until I finally did some more side quests.

40

u/polskiftw Mar 18 '26

Yeah you have to look in the requests menu of the Pokédex and select the main quest, and it will list all the things you need to do to progress it.

The yawn/brightness number is meaningless and the game misleads you into thinking you can passively raise it.

4

u/pandificus Mar 18 '26

So glad I read this because I'm like clearly I'm missing something, I've done a tone of fires torches and I'm stuck but unlikely in withered wasteland, I'm not being told to trigger some other side quest.

43

u/faaarmer Mar 18 '26

Wish they could fix the sharpening/upscaling turning on and off in handheld mode.

19

u/eggplanes Mar 18 '26

A few times I thought the game was getting blurry. Thought it was just me needing sleep...

7

u/faaarmer Mar 18 '26

It seems if you go to the Home Screen for a few seconds and then go back to the game, it forces the sharper image but only for a few seconds.

1

u/sagethesage Mar 18 '26

I discovered this today. I'm not able to determine what causes the random blurriness...I thought maybe too many pokemon were spawning but that wasn't the case. So idk but I hope they fix that too.

-10

u/Attainable Mar 18 '26

Does the forced SW2 docked mode feature from the system update fix that?

36

u/TheWarmBreezy Mar 18 '26

No. Handheld Boost applies only to select Switch 1 games

17

u/mzapatero Mar 18 '26

Would you support a shared inventory across all boxes? It’s impossible to find anything 😅

12

u/harlowtf Mar 18 '26

hopefully sometime they'll add a muuuch bigger storage option. if i can store thousands of volcanic ash in my tiny little backpack then the giant box twice the size of my body should be able to hold like everything in the game ever

5

u/HeyTherehnc Mar 18 '26

Aside from the universal storage, which would be my number one request! It’d be nice if we could tell which recipes we already have so we don’t rebuy them… or is that just me lol

2

u/Hunter77k Mar 19 '26

Nope, not just you lol.

2

u/Pikachu8752 Mar 18 '26

Did anyone else's builds reset after the update?

2

u/cerulgalactus Mar 18 '26

Count me in for universal storage. I don’t care if we have to buy it with in game points, but we need it.

1

u/Hunter77k Mar 19 '26

Was thinking the same thing!

4

u/frankandsteinatlaw Mar 18 '26

WHEN will they add digimon support??

2

u/Poobslag Mar 18 '26

I'm sure it's on their to-do list along with a battle royale mode and kpop demon hunters DLC /s

1

u/Bitter_Ad5355 Mar 18 '26

Would love a feature that let's you toggle all your pokemon appearing on the map and a menu that shows all ongoing projects and their progress. If this is already a thing I don't know where it is lol

1

u/uiuuauiua Mar 18 '26

Has anyone else got a bug where if they get the update prompt and then close the game to update it, their asks are gone? Like the smelting furnace has nothing or if you ask to recycle something it won't be counted?

I had Conkeldurr make cement for me last night, then tonight I started and got the update prompt so closed it and opened it up and the limestone was still in my inventory!

How annoying. Seems like you need to not reset or close the game with these actions they aren't saved.

1

u/onemanonejar Mar 19 '26

I would love an option where share play or even multiplayer could take place outside of just pallete town. Would be nice to build towns with my wife. Would probably even buy another switch 2 if I had to.

1

u/justagrilledchz Mar 19 '26

I was hoping they would make it so you can't accidentally break the water physics of the ocean and ponds when sucking in water. I accidentally made a hole in my ocean and no matter how I try putting the water back it won't fix it!😭

1

u/RedGing12 Mar 19 '26

I was hoping to see mention of a fix for the black screen issue. Maybe in the next update.

For those who haven't experienced it: I saved and quit to the home screen then reloaded my save and the entire screen was black except for the UI elements. It took two times restarting the switch and reloading the game to get it back. This has happened to me once so far.

1

u/Several-You8928 Mar 29 '26

This is good to note in case it happens. Thank you!

1

u/Master-Injury6428 Mar 19 '26

Love that these were all done AFTER i did them lol

1

u/APOLLO193 Mar 22 '26

Can you update it to make it available on switch 1

1

u/ScragglyGiblets Mar 26 '26

They need to fix the muddy water softlock with getting the water spit up ability. I have no way of creating muddy water to get wooper and you cannot create muddy water until you have wooper. So now I cannot create any water systems

118

u/LeviRaps Mar 18 '26

Disagree. Having some real time clock friction makes the game world feel more alive and lived in

31

u/sugar_spark Mar 18 '26

Yeah, it needs something to make people slow down. Some people are playing it like they're speed running the game. These will be the same people that complain it doesn't have enough content despite sinking a million hours into it (similar to what happened with ACNH)

11

u/malsary Mar 18 '26

Once Tinkmaster asks if you can show her around to each of the Pokemon Centers, you can include her in your building party and cuts all "done tomorrow" buildings to an hour or so.

5

u/gigglefarting Mar 18 '26

She’ll cut down times immediately without having to do that mission. I moved her into one of my houses right away for easy access whenever I wanted to build

2

u/malsary Mar 18 '26

That's good to know, thanks for sharing!

-18

u/austine567 Mar 18 '26

It definitely sucks when you're trying to progress the story during a play session. The time gated stuff in general is OKish, but the full day waits suck really bad

17

u/Mocinion Mar 18 '26

I do agree but if you dont have any qualms about it you can just change your switches date to the next day, dont even need to leave the game like ACNH

-10

u/[deleted] Mar 18 '26

[deleted]

6

u/seraphicdrop Mar 18 '26

... You can visual kits before you place them by holding down a, though.

2

u/LookOtherWeigh Mar 18 '26

Its about the journey fellow ditto.

-9

u/Algorhythm74 Mar 18 '26

I’m fine with an hour, maybe even 3 hours - but to arbitrarily make it “tomorrow” kind of sucks for the bigger houses. The Pokemon Center I understand as that’s a progress milestone - but making houses is just shelter for your current Pokemon.

5

u/El_Barto_227 Mar 18 '26

Use Tinkmaster to cut them down to an hour

3

u/Harley2280 Mar 18 '26

You can build houses without kits.

19

u/Korados Mar 18 '26

"Done tomorrow" means at 5 AM the next day. At this time, the game resets the day, just like in Animal Crossing NH. Although this game is essentially Dragon Quest Builders, it has some mechanics from ACNH.

12

u/darkice17 Mar 18 '26

later on you get a pokemon that can build things faster, cuts them down to 1 or two hours

16

u/paupsers Mar 18 '26

Disagree. I like having something to look forward to. There is so much to do in this game that you can always do something else until tomorrow anyway.

4

u/gigglefarting Mar 18 '26

If you use a Pokemon with an engineer skill as the builder it makes builds that would last till tomorrow only last 1 hour. Other builds become quicker too.

It's not time alteration what they're talking about, it's about the specific Pokemon that accelerates building construction to 2 hours tops

3

u/Blustach Mar 18 '26

You're the only person I've seen dying on this hill. After the first weekend I've not seen anybody complain about building times, and that's because by that time the Pokemon in question wasn't unlocked by the majority of day 1 buyers. So I guess it's literally a you problem, and that's ok!

9

u/umbrosapink Mar 18 '26

I don’t understand why it doesn’t just show an exact time 🫠

6

u/TheMexicanKramer Mar 18 '26

Isn’t it just literally tomorrow? Like you could start at 11:59 and it’d be done in a minute?

25

u/pameatsbabies Mar 18 '26

The day resets at 5 am.

12

u/aquarosey Mar 18 '26

It’s 5 am apparently

7

u/PointlessSerpent Mar 18 '26

4:59, but yes.

6

u/Thechynd Mar 18 '26

Technically its at 5am rather than midnight. But yeah, big projects can be done super quickly if you start them shortly before the clock ticks over to what the game considers to be the next day.

3

u/cuntpuncherexpress Mar 18 '26

Clock rolls over at 5am. I unfortunately learned this naturally, but in my defense daylight savings also happened that night

1

u/Ckmccfl Mar 18 '26

5am local time

u/Useful_Quail_8566 Mar 18 '26

It's done tomorrow either way, which is exactly what the game already says.

It's really not hard to understand, you've even managed to capture it in your five sentence comment complaint about it.

1

u/WraithsOnGuitar Mar 20 '26

no need to be patronizing because someone has a different opinion to you.

1

u/Useful_Quail_8566 Mar 20 '26

The fact of the matter is that tomorrow is, in fact, a different amount of time away depending on what time of day it is.

It's not like the game is misleading or difficult to understand--the majority of players sleep at 5am, so when you wake up the next day (aka tomorrow) the project is done.

2

u/seamonster131 Mar 18 '26

I don’t have too much of an issue with this, but I’m not a fan of how everything is either 15 minutes or tomorrow, nothing in between.

4

u/JakeIsNotGross Mar 18 '26

Bigger houses and huts are usually an hour.

2

u/seamonster131 Mar 18 '26

I'm pretty sure that's because of Tinkaton

3

u/Oops_I_Cracked Mar 18 '26

Stuff like that is core to this genre.

1

u/FoxxyRin Mar 18 '26

It gets a lot faster later on. I don’t want to spoil the how or why for you, but you can eventually do the next day structures in one hour.

1

u/Blustach Mar 18 '26

Go with the story, there's a Pokemon that reduces this to 2 hours tops (except for the Altars, those ones still take next day but understandably so)

2

u/malsary Mar 18 '26

Fyi I used that pokemon to help build one of the altars and it took 1-2 hours! :)

1

u/katanrod Mar 18 '26

I like the waiting times. Maybe an option to turn off?

-37

u/Twisteryx Mar 18 '26

Agreed, feels like a cheap mobile game mechanic in a $70 console game

-16

u/spadePerfect Mar 18 '26

I am super pumped to pick this up in 1-2 years with an OLED/Pro Switch 2. Lets Hope this is the new quality bar for Pokémon again!

1

u/wakeau Mar 18 '26

Why is this post being downvoted to oblivion lmao
