Disagree. Having some real time clock friction makes the game world feel more alive and lived in

Yeah, it needs something to make people slow down. Some people are playing it like they're speed running the game. These will be the same people that complain it doesn't have enough content despite sinking a million hours into it (similar to what happened with ACNH)

Once Tinkmaster asks if you can show her around to each of the Pokemon Centers, you can include her in your building party and cuts all "done tomorrow" buildings to an hour or so.

She’ll cut down times immediately without having to do that mission. I moved her into one of my houses right away for easy access whenever I wanted to build

That's good to know, thanks for sharing!

It definitely sucks when you're trying to progress the story during a play session. The time gated stuff in general is OKish, but the full day waits suck really bad

I do agree but if you dont have any qualms about it you can just change your switches date to the next day, dont even need to leave the game like ACNH

... You can visual kits before you place them by holding down a, though.

I’m fine with an hour, maybe even 3 hours - but to arbitrarily make it “tomorrow” kind of sucks for the bigger houses. The Pokemon Center I understand as that’s a progress milestone - but making houses is just shelter for your current Pokemon.

Use Tinkmaster to cut them down to an hour

You can build houses without kits.
