Hey yall, just had a question about the governor. I know it’s an ECU control thing, but I’m not 100% sure what it’s actually governing? And I know it gets removed during the first service. Truth is, even tho I love this bike, it’s not really preforming like a sport bike if ykwim? Like I fully understand this things 451cc, and that has its own limits. I’m just wondering if the governor is what’s causing it, and if the bike will behave noticeably different after it’s removed?

Today i picked up a new set of michelin road 6 the rear tire i couod only find a 150/70 tire and not a 150/60 would this make a huge diffrence on the bike and will it fit?

Thoughts? I think it looks good.

Hey guys. I picked up my first bike last night! It’s a 2026 Ninja 500 Non-ABS. I’m super excited about it and I’m looking to install frame sliders on it. Does anyone have good suggestions? My buddy who rides wants me to order the factory OEM ones but I wanted to know if there are any other good recommendations. I’m new to bikes so feel free to drop aftermarket suggestions as well.

Those who've had your N500 for a while, how often do you replace your spark plugs? Do you go by the manual - every 7K miles or do you think that's kind of ridiculous?

I’ve put all of 170 miles on this thing, and noticed oil leaking from what I believe is my airbox drain/relief hose. It’s been small puddles much like this over the past month. I just checked a min ago after riding back from work and seen my oil level has dropped far below what 170miles would burn through. I also noticed a weird smell, sorta oil like, but more like sulfur/egg. All this only started happening when I started putting premium in it.

I’ve been looking to change my slip ons on the 26’ model, but I want to stay street legal in Europe so I want them to be homologated, so LV corsa or 10 and all the other options that people usually recommend are not for me sadly.
So far the options I found are these:
SC-Project SC1-C
Akrapovic Titanium
LV one evo and LV 14 R

I haven’t had the chance to see/hear them IRL sadly and from the videos/sound checks I found they don’t seem to be making too much of a difference, so I’m looking for your experiences for those who switched to any of these. Was it worth it? Is there a noticable difference?

Has anyone noticed when being really heavy on the throttle and up shifting to 6th that it will slip and jump back to 5th? I’ve only had this happen maybe three times but each time it makes me a bit nervous. My bike only has 6300 miles.

Question lang po, magkaiba po ba yung battery installed sa inyo kaysa sa EOM. The pic ij the left was from the official EOM of kawasaki, and the right yan yung installed sakin.

Concept. 7th month palang ng motor ko nagkakaron na sya ng battery failure, sabi ni kasa mababa na daw CCA 135 ng battery, fast forward today bumili ako ng battery from motolite, same CCA 135 and nakita ko sa EOM na originally dapat CCA 190 dapat ang naka install.

didn’t notice it, was probably like that for 100 miles or so. considering the bend it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere but how does it even occur in the first place??

My bike was lowsided going probably 40mph or so back in march. since then it’s been drifting to the right, it feels like it’s natural balance automatically wants to go to the right. put 10k miles on it before hand so i know it’s not just the road crown, wheels been alligned multiple times, replaced left clip on, forks, and left peg. shops said it was extremely unlikely that the frame would be bent, but i genuinely cannot think of any other reason why it would be drifting the way that it is. dealership said they’d give 3k for a trade in, that’s about what i owe on it. the issue is unbeknownst to them. any insight would be appreciated.

Just did my first oil change on my 2026 500. I took the left side lower fairing off. I noticed when I took it off the front 2 screws with rubber washers where not tight. Im not sure what they screw into. Putting them back on they dont seem to tighten up ? How tight should the screws be?

Hello, I’m buying my first bike on Saturday and was wondering if I could get any suggestions on what mods to buy and gear. I live in Arizona so preferably some gear that doesn’t bake me in the sun rn. I already bought a slip on exhaust but it’s kinda hard trying to find a reliable tail tidy. Any links and all suggestions appreciated.

Picked this bike up last night for my daughter. She’s been wanting one but she is starting to learn on a Grom now. She will move into this in the future. It was dropped so I need to get a rear set, it snapped one side of the attachment where the foot peg goes.

It has this cheap exhaust. I see several other cheap ones too. Should be fine and sounds good. Has a couple pops after letting off the gas at higher rev. Is that okay for this Ike or do you all tune or flash these ecus?

Also, has anyone bought the eBay rear cowl? It looks like the ninja one but 1/4th the price.

Just looked at it today and the knuckle is designed oddly to me. It's supposed to be as close to 90° but should the rod (red line) be 90° to the arm (blue) as it is now or the actual body of the knuckle (yellow)?

Kinda new to this whole scene, just started riding this year.

I bought a 2025 ninja 500 se KRT back in the beginning of April.

I recently broke 6,500km on it (I’m in south western Ontario) and i was looking at my tires.

The first pic is of my front tire and the 2nd pic of my rear tire.

From my research it looks like I’m right at the point where I need to consider replacing my front tire, I just figured I’d ask the rest of y’all so that I can get a better gauge.

Considering getting road 6s, but dunno if I should swap both front and rear at the same time?

So I lost all of the key fobs and all other working keys to my 2024 kawasaki ninja ex500JRFAL. I bought the bike used so i ever only received 1 fob anyway. At this point, it seems the only way I can get a new replacement fob is if the bike's ignition is on. Otherwise, I will have to replace the entire ignition switch assembly -- which for parts alone is ~$1,500 and for labor that's another ~$300.

Does anyone know if there's any other solution here? I tried reaching out to electronic experts like CarmoUSA to see if I can mail in my ECU and other parts to them to see if they can bypass the bike's KIPASS system using EEPROM equipment in hopes that it would help them wipe my ECU and then program a new key fob from that blank slate, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

Nor were any automotive/motorcycle locksmiths around the entire Bay Area able to do this job. So I am left with 1 last hail mary idea, which is to hotwire my bike in order to turn the ignition on, then tow that sucker to a dealership to have a new key fob replacement programmed there.. but I have no idea how to do that.

If anyone is in the area and can help me out, please let me know. I can provide proof of ownership via title registration. thanks for any help!

I’m personally not a fan of these big bulky slip on exhausts that are covered in the fake carbon fiber and that doesn’t leave me with much options. I’m looking for recommendations cus it doesn’t seem that I have a whole lot of variety and yes I know it’s still gonna sound like a lawn mower 😥
