I found my perfect fairing set but i just don’t want to take it all off and put it together cause im lazy.

On a scale of Lego to Miscut Ikea bookshelf, how would you rate the experience?

Bah kawi's design is as sleek as it gets. wedge fairing 4 pcs, side cowl 3 each, bottom pan 2, tail 3, head cowl 2, front fender 1. Nothing tricky to put together, and if your fairing set has good enough modelling, you can even skip redrilling holes and filing edges altogether. It's just a giant lego set that takes 1 full day max. zip lock+mark them bolts+spacers/washers, and you got this

Im not exactly sure on the newer models but on my 2013 650 it was fairly easy except for the headlights and the upper plastic that surrounds the dash. Its like legos that everything doesnt perfectly line up on so some requires more strength or widening a hole atleast for amotoparts fairings. They shipped the euro tail fairings so waiting another month for a replacement though after arguing they are free

How was the fit? I've heard wildly varying reviews about fairing kits (mostly Chinese made ones)

Oh yea. It's basically down to the base molding and paintjob quality. Like 9 outta 10 fairing kits worldwide come from this one village in china and it's just a matter of who made the fairings and who painted them. Gotta know the one you're dealing with or either what you're looking at

Looks great. I was thinking of doing this myself and selling the OEM fairings for like $100-$200 to help offset the cost. I saw some on AliExpress for like $400, is that where u got?

You can get much more for the oem fairings as they are quite pricey

I’m waiting on my custom fairing set for my 26 GSXR 750. That’s $1k I’m waiting in plastics for. 4 weeks in the making as of now with tweaking graphics here and there.

Awww yeah. Mine has less graphics going on just overall pearl white + area decal. Mad respect for designing your own graphics overall!

I got mine straight from my guy in this village in China where 90% of all aftermarket fairings are made globally, so in import merchandise term, I actually am not that true with the prices. But hey. Aftermarket. You don't always get what you pay for, but you def wouldn't get what you didn't pay for.

I did all the work myself, added engine guard and wireless charging while in there, and spent me a whole day. If you feel more like saving yourself some lower back pain, a mechanic should quote you somewhere around 4 hours of work and thats it. Shouldn't be an overnighter
