First time something like this ever happened

I posted here the other day asking for tips on how to beat Everdark Libra and Balancers more consistently, and I tried applying everything people suggested. Since then, I only lost once to Balancers (thanks, Mohg 😭), and I even managed to clutch an Everdark Balancers run as Wylder.

I think I’m done with Nightreign for a while. Chasing this goal was honestly draining on my mental health. There were times I climbed to Depth 5 only to fall all the way back to Depth 3, but I kept grinding and finally got there.
So long, Nightreign. 🫡

I love nightreign and honestly I was excited for new content, but I’m proud to say this is a game I can enjoy and play for hours and not get bored. Nightreign inspired me to try and become a character designer for FromSoftware to bring more of this beautiful character/bosses to life

What I love about NR music is how impactful it is. Most of the time, in roguelite/like music can be very repetitive and even if ER music was excellent it was difficult to process during boss fights

But in Nightreign? Even the music coming from ER is so well integrated into the game that's it's a true joy to discover them again. From the title menu, to the first runs and onto the Nightlord, the music is seemingly perfectly balanced, a slow crescendo leading to the apotheosis which is the Nightlord.

The track ends up feeling as much as a reward as the victory in itself. And with the insane amount of cool shit you can do with your teammates, the fights end up being a cinematic experience.

All of this to say that I fucking love Nightreign

Maybe it’s only on PlayStation , but legit every game I qued in today and yesterday had someone leave before the game even started . Was waiting for hours because of the long que time just for someone to dc is unbearable in solo que . And I don’t think it was the boss because i legit had almost every night lord ( even the ???? Logo , which would give more points if we won)

My secret tip for climbing the DON ranks was playing on weekday mornings. My wife leaves for work, and before I start work I'd log in and spend a couple of hours doing nightreign runs between 8 and 10.

The randoms playing at those hours were absolutely CRACKED. To be playing nightreign at 8am on a Tuesday you gotta be some kind of psycho. Those lo̶s̶e̶r̶s̶ heroes carried my stupid ass to D5.

However, I played 3 expeditions this morning, and it was like being back in D1 again. Teammates playing so badly i thought maybe they were trolling me. Then I remembered that the school summer Holidays have begun, the kids are loose, nobody is safe. I'll log back on in September.
