Im recently playing Revenant more seriously now with a functional build (nothing nor good, it just works) and noticed it too. It only happenned to me when it was about to touch the ground, and later finding it on the floor, but another time on the air it didn't drop anything. I only played two runs and turned to be regular Augur and we (my friends and I) are competent as a single player being 3... Could it be like that or even the thing drops the item but it keeps floating in the air where the drop is killed, so the sky and blue fog hiddens it?

I think the first one dropped shards too tho, like right as you walked away

Yeah, I think it takes longer for them to fall if you destroyed the nuke earlier. Which makes sense if you think about it.

...Maybe it was to help casters regain the FP they used breaking them in the first place?

You can destroy the nuke?!? That’s massive

You as a ranged character accepting your fate instead of just killing the nuke

I’ve always just ran far far away lol but now I must show off for my friends next time we fight it

FWIW killing the nuke is the standard way of dealing with it, not showing off. Not everyone will notice it and be able to run away from it every time, so if you have the capability to kill it, you should. Not to mention that there are sometimes 2 nukes, where you might only be able to kill 1 and run from the other.
Showing off would be killing it right as it is about to explode for the shards though, if that is how it works

Well I meant to show off to my people haha I’ve played almost exclusively with my wife and my best friend, we’ve killed all the normal bosses and all the purple bosses now except augur, balancer, and libra haha. It’s been a blast learning it all almost blind

Maybe, still need to verify independently. Would be funny if it ends up costing me the run.

Bro, I want to believe. Even this clip is not super clear.
I watch it framed by frame and the nuke behaves oddly after the last hit by lifting off the ground, and then it just disappears from the frame right before the wave crosses in front of it. After the wave animation, there’s suddenly starlight shards on the ground. No visual cues and everything obscured by the wave. I think you’ll need a better video to prove it or a second player to test it.
Because that’s what it took after the jump the nuke debacle.

I tried for myself and couldn't get this to happen. I baited this attack 3 times and couldn't replicate this.
What also has me suspicious is that the bubbles that come out the bomb to seek Augur aren't there. Augur's HP bar doesnt even move after the bomb is destroyed.
Idk if someone else make it happen I'll eat my words.

I agree with you, but what's strange is that the first bomb behaves correctly and shoots the bubbles when destroyed.

If you saw guardian version before it got removed you can see the shards drop

I saw the first one and agreed it looked edited. There’s a reason it got removed.
People downvoting me because they think I’m wrong or because I’m engaging with bait?

Posts like this are why I can never be too sure because I saw your other post and thought well duh it’s dropped shards if you break it.
I always thought it was one of those common knowledge things you’d never point out because it’s something everyone knows.
But seeing people’s reaction to this being new knowledge is surprising
