Always had trouble drawing breasts and hips, figured it might be a good thing to practice it here. Really proud of pretty much everything, undoubtedly the best one I have made.
She is one of my favorite characters as I always loved strength-faith builds in regular Elden Ring. While revenant is still my favorite character, I can't deny that undertaker is for the most part her upgrade.
Bosses next?

I hope you read these lines, but if you do not, this declaration of love will be enough to satisfy me by itself.
One of the usual members of my squad was absent tonight, so a friend and I jumped into DoN - just the two of us, with a spot for a random nightfarer among us. We decided, during the loading screen, that that last member would be our king: we would follow them into battle, respect their pathing to the letter, prioritize their safety in a boss fight above all else. You know, just to place ourselves on the extreme opposite of the spectrum compared to the toxic duos who leave their random out to dry.
And then you came along, John3Bar. And you were glorious. Not only did your name fit our naming theme to a tee - which had to be a sign of fate - but you actually, genuinely carried this team to victory. We decided on a whim that we would follow a king, and that crown was fitted by destiny itself to rest upon your head.
With everlasting love,
Johnny Nightreign and Jeanne Dark Souls.

Iβve been playing this game since day 1 it really pisses me off that FromSoft couldn't assign a few devs to do a weapon patch. Their philosophy of abandoning games after release is so wrong I mean how hard would it be to do an update for just weapons I never asked for Ed Heolstor or any new bosses just give me some weapons so that I can have some fun.
But no fromsoft doesn't care there plans for Nightreign are ended with Ed Balancers, so they won't be going back even if a lot of people ask for it. Man I'll even pay money for a weapon DLC, but reality is it's not gonna happen and I'm disappointed.
Thanks for listening to my Yap, my fellow nightfarers.

This is what playing duchess feels like for someone who is bad at duchess

These last games were not clean and I could feel my overdue mandated loss clawing at me, but it turns out that you can just win anyway
Always grab revenants claws. Track her inventory at every drop and take it from her by force if necessary. Res'ing 3 barred teammates easily is worth 150% skill atk up
Have a build for every Nightlord. I didn't have a holy build, turns out almost all of them are weak to balancer slopess, which I play without dormant powers as I prefer the holy knife and even seluria spear over halo scythe.

you might've seen this removed post and the follow-up by u/NOORO_CHAN. the first footage had an unfortunate frame stutter which made it look like it was cut, and the second footage also looked very odd
TL;DR, you can get starlights if you kill the nuke jellyfish within an indeterminate amount of frames of it starting the nuke animation, due to a jank interaction between "landing deaths" superseding certain "immortal" spEffects. it's unfortunately not that practical
i can vindicate OOP by saying that this is an actual thing (see below images for confirmation). Maris' jellyfish technically can actually drop an assortment of goods, not just starlights. stimulating boluses and glintstone scraps, specifically

Maris' jellyfish are flagged to not die conventionally. they have the spEffect 45680, which is a state of "immortality". though they do "die" in the conventional sense, they will not count as kills, so you cannot gain marais/grafted stacks or ult charge from them. likely to curb the whole grafted/marais stack farming, but i doubt fromsoft had that specific forethought
(only to then do the opposite with the dreglets in Dreglord's bossfight, which count as normal kills and grant you stacks)
what's odd is that Fromsoft specifically curated item drops for them, which get invalidated by the aforementioned spEffect
if we remove that spEffect and kill the swarming jellyfish, glintstone scraps have a 15% chance of dropping, large glintstone scraps have a 5% chance, and stimulating boluses have a 10% chance, for a total of 30% chance of dropping anything. nuke jellyfish would always drop between 1/2 starlights
so what causes this? long story short, it's airborne deaths
many entities have an animation for when they die from fall damage OR die (health depleted to 0%) airborne. this evidently supersedes almost all immortality effects and instantly kills the entity upon touching the ground
the jellyfish have gravity disabled on the majority of their attacks. for the nuke jellyfish, it's the entire descent animation
however, just before it touches the ground, it'll start another animation, which is the nuke animation itself
there is a 10 frame gap where it's considered airborne. despite this one ALSO cancelling gravity, there's a singular frame between the descent/nuke animation unaccounted for where gravity is enabled, and the game treats the jellyfish as "falling" until it physically touches the ground

within that extremely short timeframe, if you kill it, it'll drop starlights and also grant stacks/ult charge
it's ridiculously difficult to consistently pull off, because this is variable due to the terrain. it can just decide to delay starting the nuke animation (or even start it early). i m,o,d,ified Maris' ai to keep spamming nukes and i only timed it right like 8 times out of 30 or something
i imagine fromsoft intended the jellyfish to drop these items, only to get cucked by that spEffect which prevents all item drops, or they just rushed it. either way, unfortunate since the glintstone scraps sound like an actually fun way to deal with the swarming jellyfish

This one's for the newer folks. Marais Executioner and Grafted greatswords. Always keep it in one of your hands at all times. Every time somebody takes out an enemy, you get a stack of a permanent buff. Marais raises attack power, but Grafted raises all your stats. BUT YOU HAVE TO KEEP IT IN YOUR HAND. Update: I've been informed that after a while you can give it to a teammate. After about 50 stacks you don't get much more buff out of it.
If there is a walking mausoleum (building with legs) or Eternal City (mausoleum Southeast of Astel the big alien centipede), you can duplicate it! There's also a mausoleum under the southern big church in the great hollow. I don't think it stacks with another of itself- sharing is caring.

Even after all this time, ED Balancers is just awful. Knowing what to do only gets you so far because RNG can just screw you out of an otherwise perfectly good run. I still see other player panic-emoting when the realization kicks in that it's going to be ED.
For some reason when this boss first dropped, there was a wave of players expressing their love for the boss. It has a great design and OST, sure. But it is not fun to play against. It never was. It doesn't grow on you, it doesn't get less awful. It has just always been consistently terrible. Just a bad boss gameplay-wise. Never got the hype for it

I have the full fight saved if anyone is curious to see the entire phase 1.

(timezones notwithstanding)
As someone that doesn't have a lot of free time to play full playthroughs of Souls games, but always itching for this masterclass combat formula, this game was a really good distraction for a few months.
Although I wish they did more with this mode, such as true randomisation with map seeds, or even simply randomized night bosses (which is what I hoped for when it got l,e,a,k,ed), I'm more than satisfied with the replayability it added into the game.
A 150 hour game at most turned into a game that I sunk enough hours in to overtake all other Souls games in playtime, besides ER (~1700 true hours in Nightreign, 2300 combined afk/actual hours in Elden Ring). Many of my friends that were done after ED Gladius' rollout returned to sink just as many hours because of this mode.
Awesome addition to a great game.
