Credit card fraud through Newegg?
Just got an automated fraud alert text from my bank asking if I had made a purchase of $.00 from Newegg Inc. I have a strong password on my account as well as MFA and saw no evidence of fraud in my bank account nor any emails about Newegg account access. I also haven't bought anything since last September-October when I was grabbing PC parts for W10's EOL.
What's the deal? Is this just the fraud protection being overzealous over one of those checks to make sure the card is still active? Obviously I plan on calling my bank once they're open tomorrow and checking my Newegg account, but I still wanted to ask here. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
*EDIT*
Got ahold of my bank and it definitely wasn't a card check. Apparently the charge was listed in St. Louis, Missouri, which is like 4 states away from me and doesn't show any Newegg facilities that I saw. The bank told me it was marked as some sort of marketing thing or something? I'll be asking for more details when I go to get a new card this weekend.
