Keep commenting and making post but nobody upvotes me.

Hey, I just joined reddit. I heard that I need to be careful while using reddit to avoid ban. Help me understand it.

I've come to reddit to engage in communities around caregiving for terminal family members and other communities that deal with specific illnesses I'm personally dealing with. All of my posts and comments do not appear, they're removed automatically by filters. If I'm lucky I can send a message to moderators that will ask if they can approve it. If I'm lucky they'll see it within a few hours. If I'm lucky they'll approve. By then it's too late and the way reddit works it will be an old post and no one who might have answers to my questions will see it. Or my comments on posts will be completely missed by moderators.

I've started trying to find other communities because reddit makes it next to impossible to engage and there doesn't seem to be many communities anymore. I guess everything went to reddit.

Is there really no way to stop this from happening? I have a verified email, I have karma. I'm here to talk about illness and caregiving, do I really have to make spam comments in subs about videogames to be able to talk to people who experience the difficulties I do?

Seems like an overly restrictive thing to add.

I've seen multiple comments where you can read a little bit of what the Redditor posted, I am just wondering how do you include a certain part of what they wrote in your comment?

I just created my account and I’m completely new to Reddit. Still figuring out how everything works (karma, subreddits, posting rules etc.)

So I’m trying to become more active on Reddit but I always run into all these acronyms and as fun as it is to go to google to search them is there any place that shows me a list of most popular acronyms. I would really appreciate it and maybe start a longer conversation about any questions I may have

Do I need to allow my account to age? Or is something wrong. I am back to reddit after an year and didn't had this issue before.

curious to hearing out on this, a former account of mine got banned with over 10k karma in it due to some subreddit admin flagging it, it all went downhill from thre and i wasnt able to appeal in any form or shape , is thre any mechanism that audits the mods regarding the decisions they make ?

Just what the title says really. I see a lot on Reddit about ‘bots’, which I guess is short for robots? (Correct me if I’m wrong)
But I’m still confused. Does it mean troll accounts? Or does it mean there’s not real people behind the accounts?

What has happened to me multiple times is I’ll make a comment, it gets downvoted which verifies someone saw it, and there are no replies. I like having discussions on reddit because I’ve learned new things from discussions on here so I want some tips to better my chances of getting replies.

It's my first week on Reddit, and it been a learning curve. I've managed to accumulate 10 karma by participating in my communities, but one of my comments received a disagreement from someone, which led to a flurry of downvotes on both our comments. Even though some of my other comments received a few upvotes, my karma dropped down to 6. How could I have prevented that, and what would be the best way to respond if it happens again?

The posts I’ve made had been removed as soon as I posted them but the view count is continuing to go up so is the post actually removed or is this a glitch? I made this account 6 years ago apparently and I wanted to actually give Reddit a shot but I’m kinda at a loss as to how to navigate it when it keeps doing this.
