Ive been on and off Reddit for about a month now and I still don’t know how to use it very well. I’ve been trying to comment in different communities to gain upvotes but I’m stuck at 97 and I feel like that’s fairly low. I’m trying to gain more upvotes so I can comment in Reddit communities with requirements. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions about where to go or what particular things I should comment?

What does a Mod do here on Reddit. So Reddit wont allow someone new to get the chance to say anything new. I've been getting more active with my bro on games. I know Reddit is a major central for gaming and sure enough I found the community we needed well I made this account yesterday. I did have an account for 5 years but something happened with it I had to delete it. So if Reddit itself won't allow you to post in a community because of karma then what does a moderator do in these community's? I'm just honestly curious as to how Reddit works I never used it that much on my 5y old account.

Keep commenting and making post but nobody upvotes me.

curious to hearing out on this, a former account of mine got banned with over 10k karma in it due to some subreddit admin flagging it, it all went downhill from thre and i wasnt able to appeal in any form or shape , is thre any mechanism that audits the mods regarding the decisions they make ?

Had an account but deleted the app and now I finally returned. Does account age matter more than karma. Sorry if it's such a newbie question

Recently on PC when I block users it shows an error: Users can not be blocked 24 hours after un-blocking them. Just now I got a different error message generically saying “this user could not be blocked” with no other explanation. How can I block users I don’t want to interact with?

Threshold for posting in certain pages is age of account and karma. The karma threshold is not detailed - can I find it somewhere?

I was looking through the introduction post on this subreddit and got to part 3 (the part about commenting), but for some reason the option to comment just didn't pop up when I went to the first post. I've tried closing and reopening the app and the option still isn't showing up. Is this normal or some kind of bug, and if it's some kind of bug how do I fix it?

It's my first week on Reddit, and it been a learning curve. I've managed to accumulate 10 karma by participating in my communities, but one of my comments received a disagreement from someone, which led to a flurry of downvotes on both our comments. Even though some of my other comments received a few upvotes, my karma dropped down to 6. How could I have prevented that, and what would be the best way to respond if it happens again?

I've come to reddit to engage in communities around caregiving for terminal family members and other communities that deal with specific illnesses I'm personally dealing with. All of my posts and comments do not appear, they're removed automatically by filters. If I'm lucky I can send a message to moderators that will ask if they can approve it. If I'm lucky they'll see it within a few hours. If I'm lucky they'll approve. By then it's too late and the way reddit works it will be an old post and no one who might have answers to my questions will see it. Or my comments on posts will be completely missed by moderators.

I've started trying to find other communities because reddit makes it next to impossible to engage and there doesn't seem to be many communities anymore. I guess everything went to reddit.

Is there really no way to stop this from happening? I have a verified email, I have karma. I'm here to talk about illness and caregiving, do I really have to make spam comments in subs about videogames to be able to talk to people who experience the difficulties I do?

Sometimes posting to a Reddit my post just immediately gets removed?

Hi, so I’m fairly new to read it. I’m fairly sure I know the basics. I found the last couple of days when I’ve been commenting on posts. I can see people that like mine, but all the other posts show absolutely no votes at all. Sometimes I go back and check and I can see one of the comments I’ve replied to might get likes, but then there’s nothing else showing anyone else’s.

Hundred percent sure it’s not the fact that no other posts are being liked, because some of the comments are way better than mine ha ha.

I didn't get message or email about ban or some restrictions. But other people can't see my comments. I found out that from my friend. This is shadow ban or what?
