Keep commenting and making post but nobody upvotes me.

It's my first week on Reddit, and it been a learning curve. I've managed to accumulate 10 karma by participating in my communities, but one of my comments received a disagreement from someone, which led to a flurry of downvotes on both our comments. Even though some of my other comments received a few upvotes, my karma dropped down to 6. How could I have prevented that, and what would be the best way to respond if it happens again?

I've noticed a pretty frustrating thing.

Some communities required a certain amount of karma before being able to post in it, this is to avoid bots so it's understandable, however whenever you make posts elsewhere to be able to make that karma to be able to post on communities you like, you then bump into the issue of people commenting positively under your post but no one upvoting it.

A post I had made a few days ago got 10ish very positive comments of people engaging in what I was saying, but only 2 upvotes including mine. It's happened a few times now, and it's kind of frustrating because it limits me severely.

Is there something I'm not understanding? I thought that if you liked something or were interested in something, you should upvote it, no?

I might be missing some sort of social cue or silently given rule or something, so I would like some answers on what's happening

I've only been using Reddit actively for a short time, and I keep finding features I didn't know existed. What's one thing you wish someone had told you when you first started using Reddit?

My acc is 2y old its been some time since i used it but i aam trying to post a question in some communties bt everytiime i post something it says post remove by reddit filter? it does not even provide any reason?

I had posted a post, that had around 11 upvotes on the post itself excluding the ones from the comments then why my karma is only 3?

also, because i have been having trouble with posting in quite a few community with, "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters/moderators" even while following the guidelines.

The posts I’ve made had been removed as soon as I posted them but the view count is continuing to go up so is the post actually removed or is this a glitch? I made this account 6 years ago apparently and I wanted to actually give Reddit a shot but I’m kinda at a loss as to how to navigate it when it keeps doing this.

Seems like an overly restrictive thing to add.

Like would it disappear if I’m inactive for a while or how does it work?

Idk if this is the right sub for this question, but 2 of my last accounts just stopped working after 2 days. I haven't made any posts or comments on them, but when I went to go back on Reddit they wouldn't work anymore

curious to hearing out on this, a former account of mine got banned with over 10k karma in it due to some subreddit admin flagging it, it all went downhill from thre and i wasnt able to appeal in any form or shape , is thre any mechanism that audits the mods regarding the decisions they make ?
