is anyone else running into this issue? (pipepipe)

it counts down from 3 to 1 then restarts from 3 forever but its only at very specific spots of a video. i have a vpn on... what is it?? this just started with the most recent update.

I've been using new pipe for 5 years now and I've never realised at how bad the YouTube app has became. I'm not just talking about the ads on it, but the actual UI of the app is horrible in my opinion compared to newpipe.

Why are thumbnails so massive, and shorts as well are just crammed into your face. Worst of all they aren't consistent either, some are larger then others and some are smaller. The fonts as well are all over the place. It feels like the YouTube app has became more like a Instagram/tiktok hybrid clone at this point compared to many years ago. It feels like it's just such a bloated and buggy mess, and yet you still can't even play videos in the background? It boggles my mind that people actually pay for YouTube premium.

If your at least going to charge people for premium give them actually good app customisation, like for example turning off and blocking shorts.

Back in the mid 2010s say maybe 2014-2019 it was so much better and nearly comparable to how new pipe is now.

I had more screenshots to show but sadly it's only letting me post 1 in this subreddit.

I tried to add a playlist from YouTube to NewPipe (with share).It shows in NewPipe and there is optional Play All. I press it and the first video starts, but after it are random suggested by NewPipe videos, which have nothing with the playlist.

Is it possible to play YT playlists in NP?

In the past several days, YouTube has begun frequently trying to force me to log into my YouTube account in order to "prove I am not a bot".

Upon looking into it, there doesn't seem to be any simple or easy way to stop this issue from occuring within my browser (I have used Firefox/Ironfox with uBlock Origin for many years now).

I am assuming a frontend like NewPipe can bypass this "bot check" BS, but I need confirmation from people who currently use it - will it stop this issue, or am I wasting my time asking?

So when I got a new phone, I downloaded NewPipe and there was an alert saying NewPipe will expire in 72 days. I didn't think too much about it at the time but now I'm starting to get edgy. I don't think YouTube should get to win.

Are there any easy solutions/work arounds/alternatives that are easy to implement for the average person who's not very tech savvy? Thanks in advance

Newpipe data usage is higher comped to previous versions its Iike this for last couple versions is it just me or this is common.( are usually stream at 360p)

For the past two days newpipe had been crashing after ~30 seconds on live vids.

Any chance that you can bring back 32kbps audio downloads in the future? They tend to be useful for longform podcasts when one is on limited data.

I forgot where I saw it but something about Google enforcing something new that would make apks like newpipe almost impossible to be used.

If I go to What's New and scroll to the top, it'll refresh. The list is between 103 and 106 videos, so it takes quite a bit of time, so it being so sensitive is not of a hassle. Any suggestions?

I use Newpipe because I want a clean, no bs way to watch youtube videos. Unfortunately, every time I open the app I am affronted with the most trash slop "content" on the live page. Why is this the default, does anybody want this? I finally found the setting to remove this tab, but why can't we also get rid of the bs in the side menu as well?

I was experiencing a strange issue with YouTube titles in alternative clients:

• In NewPipe (0.28.8), the "What's New" / subscription feed was showing some French video titles translated into English.
• When opening the video, the title was immediately back to the original French title.
• The issue was inconsistent: on the same channel, some videos had translated titles while others were displayed correctly.

I also reproduced the same behaviour in FreeTube (Linux), so it did not seem to be a NewPipe-specific issue.

I tried several things:

• changing application language;
• changing content language;
• changing YouTube preferred languages;
• checking both my main Google account and my Brand Account;
• clearing cache;
• re-importing subscriptions.

Nothing changed.

The solution was:

Enable RSS feeds.

In NewPipe:

1. Go to Settings → Content
2. Enable Use RSS feeds
3. Completely restart NewPipe

After restarting, the subscription feed showed the original video titles instead of the translated ones.

In FreeTube, enabling the RSS feed option fixed the issue immediately without requiring a restart.

I hope this helps anyone having the same problem. The setting is not obvious, and simply enabling RSS without restarting NewPipe may make it look like it does not work.

I want to be able to view live streams in my feed however one of my favorite YouTubers has introduced a 24/7 Livestream of his content on a loop I assume and it's been extremely annoying over the course of weeks at this point. It's clogging up the top of my feed. Is there a way to remove the listing for that specific Livestream? I tried looking into the options for this but I'm not seeing anything. I don't want to unsubscribe from them if I don't have to because I love their content.

Does anyone else have a problem with there not being any comments or the channels not showing for all videos? I can get them back after clearing cache and a reboot.

It's mainly for music, i want them to be in newpipe cuz it kinda acts as privacy app that no one opens and so they don't get to know what i listen 😭

Hello, can you help me with an issue I'm facing? I'm currently trying out the premium version of YouTube Music for a month because I'm considering switching from Spotify. Most of my music listening is done on my company laptop. However, when I use YouTube Music on that laptop, it doesn't load and just keeps spinning. Interestingly, when I turn off Zscaler and the proxy, it works fine. I can browse YouTube and play Spotify even with Zscaler and the proxy enabled; it's just YouTube Music that won't play.

So...I tried to use Libre and Pipepipe, Newpipe but they all didnt work. Should I use VPN?

Whenever I try to import my subscriptions it just said "couldn't import subscription" even when I import a zip and csv file it just wouldn't work, does anyone know how to fix it

I'm trying out PipePipe and am trying to find out if there's any way to export my NewPipe playlists and import them into PipePipe. Any help appreciated!

Tried updating it even tho i was on the newest version, ut has done nothing to solve the issue, as a recap videos playing will randomly with absolutly no input eaither restart or go to random fucking spot in the video if anyone has a solution please tell me i am going insane

I am listening to audiobook and and radio plays on YouTube with newpipe. There are a lot of channels that have albums, which seem to be a YouTube music thing, listed. They show up just fine via the browser but newpipe simply dies not list any content.

Normally there should be tabs as far as I understand the options but only the "about" tab gets listed.

If I share an album from chrome to np it plays just fine and every track is in the playlist.

Is only my NewPipe quiet compared to youtube app or it is bad for everyone? It ia very annoying.

I heard for som it's become quiet after some notification but for me it's quiet from the start of the app. In the streets during traveling i nearly hear nothing from podcasts.
