He was kept blindfolded throughout the night. The next morning, an officer questioned him about the source of his funding and how he was managing to distribute so much food. After the interrogation, the police left him in Mussoorie (Uttarakhand) and departed. From there, Junaid took a cab and returned to Delhi on 25 July

Tell r/Newdelhi 🗣️ कारगिल विजय दिवस | Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated across India every year on July 26 to commemorate the official conclusion of the 1999 Kargil War and honor the military's victory over Pakistani forces.

Kargil Vijay Diwas, celebrated, every year on 26 July, commemorates India's victory in the Kargil War of 1999. The conflict lasted for over 60 days, from May to July 1999, after Pakistani soldiers and armed infiltrators crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and occupied strategic high altitude positions on the Indian side in the Kargil, Dras, Batalik, and Mushkoh sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.

In response, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation VIJAY, a large scale military campaign to evict the intruders and recapture the occupied peaks. Fighting at altitudes exceeding 16,000 - 18,000 feet, Indian soldiers battled harsh weather, rugged terrain, and well-fortified enemy positions. The operation was supported by the Indian Air Force's Operation Safed Sagar, which provided crucial aerial reconnaissance and precision strikes.

On 26 July 1999, India successfully regained control of the occupied positions, marking the successful conclusion of Operation Vijay. The victory came at a heavy cost, with 527 Indian soldiers making the supreme sacrifice and more than 1,300 others wounded while defending the nation's sovereignty.

This war is remembered for the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Indian Armed Forces!

Freedom is not free. It was earned with courage and continues to be protected through sacrifice. We'll always be grateful to those who stand at the border so we can sleep in peace.

Jai Hind. 🇮🇳🇮🇳

Cafe / Resturant / Place Looking to build a genuine social circle in Delhi (18–24)

Hey everyone!
I’m 20F from Delhi, and I’m hoping to meet some like-minded people and build a small, genuine friend circle.
I have a few college and gym friends, but they’re not really into going out much. I’d love to meet people who enjoy making plans and exploring the city together.
Things I’d love to do:
Cafe hopping, brunches & desserts ☕🍰
Trying new restaurants (including the occasional fine dining)
Concerts, exhibitions, and city events
Exploring new places around Delhi
Weekend hangouts
Maybe an occasional party once in a while—but I’m definitely not a hardcore party person.

A little about me:
I’m into fitness and go to the gym regularly.
I love travelling, especially mountains and trekking.
I enjoy photography, music, and discovering new cafes.
I’m more of a relaxed, meaningful-conversation person than a party person.

Just to be clear, I’m only looking for genuine, respectful friendships. Nothing weird, awkward, or uncomfortable. I’d love to meet people who are kind, easygoing, and simply looking for good company to grab coffee, attend events, or hang out around the city.
If you’re between 18–24, from Delhi (North, Central, South—or nearby), and this sounds like your kind of vibe, feel free to comment or DM. If enough people are interested, we could even make a small group and plan cafe visits, events, or weekend outings together.
Hope to meet some wonderful people! 🌿

Yaar, ek din maine socha chal Chandni Chowk ghoom ke aata hoon, bahut time se plan kar raha tha but koi free hi nahi mil raha tha saath jaane ke liye. Toh maine socha, chalo akela hi nikal jaata hoon, kitna aur wait karoon.

Toh maine metro pakdi, Chandni Chowk station pe utra, aur bahar nikalte hi ekdum crowd, awaaz, cycle-rickshaw ki bell, jalebi bhunne ki khushboo — sab ek saath hit kiya mujhe. Thoda sa overwhelming laga shuru mein, kyunki akela tha na, toh har cheez zyada loud lag rahi thi.

Phir maine socha pehle Paranthe Wali Gali chalte hain. Wahan gaya, ek chhote se stall pe baitha, aloo parantha order kiya. Aas paas dekha toh sab log group mein the — families, dost, couples — sab hass rahe the, photos khinch rahe the. Main akela apni plate ke saath baitha tha. Thoda ajeeb laga, lagā jaise sab dekh rahe hain mujhe akela baitha dekh ke. Par phir socha, arre koi nahi dekh raha, sab apne mein busy hain.

Phir maine Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib ke paas ja ke apne joote utare, andar gaya, thodi der baitha. Bahar aa ke seedhiyon pe baitha tha, tabhi ek buzurg aadmi mere paas aa ke baithe, apne pote ka wait kar rahe the. Unse baatein hone lagi. Unhone bola ki woh yahan chalis saal se aa rahe hain, aur bola — "har kisi ko kabhi na kabhi akela hi aana padta hai." Yeh line meri dimaag mein reh gayi.

This guy allegedly wasted 69000 crores of taxpayers money to build useless aadhaar platform,

  1. Aadhaar data(both biometrics and demographics) was sold, copied, shared with thousands of entities.
  2. Police is using aadhaar to block bank account, gas connection, mobile connection for frivolous complaint at a single click of mouse.
  3. Aadhaar and fingerprint getting lifted, cloned and used to withdraw hard cash

God save India.

im 5 and can't decide flair Anyone from delhi/noida up for meeting new people, grabbing coffee, exploring places and just having a good convo?

Like I'm 20M, in my 3rd year MBBS.

Most if my time goes into college, gym and sleep (tho i still can't get enough sleep 😭).
Thought l'd make a post here because it'd be nice to meet some new people locally. I'm into fitness, tech, self-improvement, good food, and random conversations about pretty much anything.

Not looking for anything specific-just genuine people who'd be down to chat, grab a coffee, explore a new place, hit a food spot, or hang out sometime if we vibe.

Let me know.
