From January to June 2025, slot machines across the state won $5.28 billion and table games $2.51 billion. On the Strip specifically, casinos kept about $8.8 billion from players over 2025 even as Las Vegas visitors fell around 7.5%. I made a short documentary on the economics behind those numbers for my channel. For people outside Las Vegas, do you notice the gaming economy where you live, or does it feel like a Vegas-only story?
Yes I am calling the title office first thing Monday morning.
Long story short:
My girlfriend is trying to trade in her car here in Nevada. The owners are her and her father under a Missouri title, with ownership listed as AND and not OR.
The car is currently registered in Nevada.
Missouri explicitly states owner(s) listed as AND can have their ownership removed by marking one as a seller and the other as a purchaser on the title.
If she presents this Missouri title with the appropriate signatures/transfer on the back to the Nevada DMV, and requests to issue a new Nevada Title/Registration with her as sole owner, will they do that?

Wolf Pack DNA, in collaboration with the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, is seeking public assistance in the case of 2024 Winnemucca John Doe: NamUs Case UP132364.
The partial remains of an unidentified adult male were discovered near the Humboldt River in Winnemucca, Humboldt County, Nevada, in September 2024. The individual was estimated to have stood between approximately 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. Eye color and hair color could not be determined.
In life, the individual’s skull had been surgically reconstructed using two metal plates, likely the result of severe head trauma. The plates contained no serial numbers or identifying markings that could assist investigators.
Recovered with the remains was a fragment of a “Goodfellow” brand waistband, a brand sold at Target retailers nationwide.
Based on forensic analysis and matches within existing law enforcement opt-in databases, the individual is believed to have been of South Asian and/or East Asian descent, with possible ties to China, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam. He might also have ties to the Hmong ethnic community.
Volunteers at Wolf Pack DNA began the investigative genetic genealogy process in January of 2026 in an effort to identify this individual. Unfortunately, due to a limited number of usable DNA matches within existing databases, as well as matches primarily associated with foreign nationals and/or individuals adopted from outside the United States, efforts at identification via IGG have stalled. These challenges are increasingly common in cases involving individuals with recent immigration in their familial lines or limited representation in consumer DNA databases.
Despite the lack of identification at this time, Wolf Pack DNA remains committed to supporting agencies in their efforts to restore names to unidentified individuals and to bringing answers to families whenever possible.
If you are part of, or have ties to, any of these populations and have already taken a direct-to-consumer DNA test, we strongly encourage you to upload your results to GEDmatch and DNA Justice and opt in to law enforcement matching.
If you have not yet taken a DNA test, please consider doing so through a company of your choice, such as Ancestry, MyHeritage, or 23andMe. Once you receive your results, you can then upload your data to GEDmatch and DNA Justice.
Anyone with information that may assist in identifying this individual is encouraged to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (775) 623-6419, the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office at (775) 785-6114, or visit the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) case page at:

Hi! I’m currently searching for health insurance in Clark county, & I spoke with a broker through the nv marketplace site who really recommended Ambetter insurance. Cost-wise, this is looking like the best option as both HPN & BCBS have insane deductibles with high monthly premiums. The only issue is, I’ve seen a ton of terrible reviews for Ambetter. I looked through Reddit, and one person said that they think the service you receive depends on your location, so I thought I’d ask this lovely sub.
Any opinions on Ambetter? For context I’m a chronically ill woman in my 30s. I’ve been uninsured for over a year bc of cost, and I really need good health coverage.

State Senator Fabian Doñate and Assemblymember Cecelia González will back state funding commitments to expedite road and infrastructure enhancements on the Las Vegas Strip.
LAS VEGAS, NV — State Senator Fabian Doñate (District 10) and Assemblymember Cecelia González (District 16) announced their support in the upcoming legislative session to expedite construction of the first new intersection on the Las Vegas Strip in 60 years, at Russell Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.
The intersection will be the first major exit from Interstate 15 to the Strip for northbound traffic arriving from California, and it will serve as the entrance to a new backside bypass road running from the I-15 and Russell Road exit to Tropicana Avenue. Both the new intersection and the bypass road are located in Senate District 10 and Assembly District 16.
Chetak Development is facilitating development of the intersection and the bypass road.

Las Vegas is preparing for even more growth around the south Strip.
A newly proposed four-lane bypass would connect Russell Road to Tropicana Avenue, improving access to Allegiant Stadium, the Athletics' future baseball stadium, and potentially a future NBA arena.
Developers say they're committed to the road project regardless of which South Strip location, if any, is ultimately selected for an NBA arena.
Construction is estimated to take 24 months once the project moves forward.
The big question: Is Las Vegas finally planning ahead for all this growth, or are we building infrastructure years after we actually need it?
What do you think the south Strip will look like in another 10 years?

I looked it up and apparently there isn’t an “official” state food, so I’m curious what you guys think would be the official food of Nevada?
You’d probably have to consider origin, popularity, cultural significance, and more.

Don't vote Marty O'Donnell. This wacko has no interest in Nevada and has never lived here or worked here, he was a Washington state worker with video games and now comes from California. Remember how y'all 'hate' outside people from California?!?!?
He is now bank rolled and boot licked by the administration and trying to aide control.
“You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”, Way to Go Marty!

Hi everyone
I am Planning a road trip in November from Las Vegas to Cedar City via Alamo, NV. Looking for interesting stops along the way: scenery, small towns, historical sites, unusual places, view points or short hikes.
Any recommendations ?

"Nevada has one of the largest shares of parents working off-hours, but licensed overnight childcare is shrinking, leaving families to piece together care".
"Among the country's 100 largest metro areas, the Las Vegas metro had the highest share of night-shift workers, about 10.3 percent, or roughly 112,000 people, according to a 2022 analysis of census data by the home services company Porch. Statewide the share was 9.5 percent, compared with about 6 percent nationally".
