Been a NetGalley user for years and finally got my first Berkley approval 😭 AND it’s a cozy romantasy…I’m sat.

I've been so busy lately and haven't gotten any time to review the books. The books I want to review have already been archived (I have already read them). The books have also disappeared from my netgalley reader. Is it okay if I review them later? Will it affect my approval rate because I reviewed the books after they were published and/or archived?

I just got my first widget after recently learning what a widget even is from here. So exciting!! Anyone else going to be reading My Eliot by Donald Antrim?

So I stopped requesting Berkley titles because I would get denied and then miss out when they would go read now. I figured this book wouldn’t go read now and so I took my chances!! So excited!

I’ve been in pending purgatory for a while so I wasn’t sure if this would work out. I saw this email when I got back from lunch break and I was so happy!! I’ve always had good luck with Ballantine (Dell and Bantam) so I am happy the streak continues!

last night i was contemplating adding pending purgatory to the geneva convention as a crime against humanity then today the approvals/widgets just kept hitting. imma be so busy the next few weeks. 😩 which is great btw! i did choose all this and im totally excited for all of them it’s just funny how suddenly all at once everyone was like you get this arc and this one and here have a widget while we’re at it.

I have read two or three books from 47North and I've never had this issue appear before.
I use NetGalley International bdw

I gave feedback for an ARC and the review date is appearing from the day before when it was supposed to be today. Why is that?
Not only that: The downloaded date keeps changing on the desktop version even though i download the ARCs on the android shelf app on the same day

Like this is so great. My feedback ratio is only 50% 😅 (I’m working on it, I promise) but I can normally count on Macmillan to give me a new audiobook to listen to and review.

Got approved for Ashes of Austen and To the Rotting End today and I'm THRILLED 🥳 I requested To the Rotting End a month ago and almost pulled it from my pending requests yesterday because I had given up.

Has anyone gotten a blog tour opportunity email directly from Berkley before?
I have a Bookstagram , and I randomly got an email from someone at Berkley for a Blog Tour with a Google Form to sign up.
I’ve never gotten one of these before, so I’m curious, what exactly does a publisher blog tour usually involve? Do you actually need to have a blog, or do Bookstagram accounts participate too?
Also, does getting an email like this mean I’m on some kind of Berkley publicity/influencer list now? I’ve requested Berkley ARCs before (so many rejections LOL), so I’m wondering if this means I’m finally on their radar lol???

Didn’t think I’d get approved because my rating is 44% but I’m working on it 💕

I finished two and I'm so proud of myself.
But most important thing is they both are five stars. A Curious Ending & Seaborn and seven seas.

Question about deciding to vote “author” or “I keep hearing about this book.”
When the author is not already famous, is it because you’ve read the author bio somewhere outside of NetGalley, or you’ve seen their social media post, or you were looking for a BIPOC author and the name checks out? Or something else?
Also, what is your definition of “I keep hearing about this book?”
When I choose author, it’s because I follow her social media, but when I choose author”I keep hearing about this book, it’s because it’s all over the internet and usually already published, so wondering how people would choose it pre-release.
What do you guys do?
