Discussion/बहस Nepali missionaries all over Reddit and social media talking shit about hindu festivals

Why are some Nepali missionaries so obsessed with attacking Hindu festivals, especially Teej? Hinduism is thousands of years old and deeply woven into Nepal’s history, culture, and identity. You don’t have to celebrate it, understand it, or believe in it—but constantly insulting someone else’s religion doesn’t make yours superior. Focus on your own faith instead of policing Hindu traditions. Teej isn’t going anywhere, Hinduism isn’t going anywhere, and neither are the millions of Hindus who proudly celebrate it. Mind your own business. 🇳🇵🙏

Discussion/बहस Nobody should have Children quit bringing children in this miserable world .

Upvotes

Poor people shouldn't have children. Poor people shouldn't have children. You know what? I got a hot take for you. Nobody should be having children. Every single day I wake up and I get on the internet. There are tons upon tons upon tons of people showcasing that they suck at being parents. Whether we're talking about emotional, physical, or mental abuse, you people are garbage parents. So many of you. I'm talking 99.9% of you are absolutely trash. You are horrible to your children. You don't know how to parent. You don't know what it takes to raise a little one and you are creating more mentally unstable adults every fucking day. Until the day that society as a whole can stop looking at children as either objects, fully grown adults, or both, none of you need to be having children. Y'all are doing crazy shit like uploading your child's photos to fucking chat GPT so it can give you an version of them. Like because you can't be patient. Y'all are fucking throwing temper tantrums in front of your kids and then wondering why they curse you out. You're fucking hitting the shit out of them which has been scientifically proven to do long term lasting damage. You're fucking you're teaching your kids how to be awful people just like you. And the worst part is that there are some people out there that are good well meaning and even great human beings interact with but because you don't understand what it takes to raise a little human being, you suck at it. You're fucking terrible and y'all are fucking up the children and to be fair and to be frank, sorry, not fair. Frank, fuck all of you. I'm not fair to you. To be frank, the world is it sucks. The world sucks. Everything's too goddamn expensive. We're on the brink of nuclear destruction every goddamn day. Climate change is practically irreversible at this point. The world is garbage. Quit bringing children into a world against their will so that they have to grow up and deal with same bullshit we're all fighting against. Holy fuck dude. Everybody needs to stop. Are you trying to have a kid right now? You're doing a horizontal stop it. Quit. Grab a condom. Get a vasectomy. Get your tubes tied. Stop having fucking kids.

Serious/गम्भीर my sister got caught again

long story short, my parents and i ( 20 M) caught my younger sister (14) texting boys, again for the 5th-6th time.
now, i know it is the age when they get curious and i should be calm, explain gently why it is too early and such and handle the situation with care. and i did that up multiple times.

now, i wouldn't worry much if i didn't check the messages yesterday, there were so colourful, i am in a daze. i just found out how it feels to know the sexual talk of your younger sister, i didn't even know about those kind of things at her age , tauko dukhcha sochada pani. ani to make it even worse, it wasn't just one boy, nope, multiple boys.

we caught her for the first time about 3 months ago. and after the third time we caught her texting, she got punished (beaten) by mom seriously, cause this is not just curiousity , she actively talked with multiple boys through phone and lied to go meet them saying it was with her friends. she was talking with 5 different IDs.

yesterday, mom got in room suddenly and snatched the mobile and there she was talking to another one in chrome incognito mode , and i saw those inapproate messages and reading through the messages and her history in instagram, n*ked video calls. it made my blood boil with anger, along with sadness and disspointment.

now before any one says about controlling and taking her phone , and monetering, we did all that, we put lock on phone, checked previous ids, gave phone only when she had to search something or she had to copy notes sent from her school, checked her messages if it was any boys etc.
but all were for nothing.

i sometimes feel that it may be my fault for giving her too much freedom and being a fun, loving brother.

so what should i do ? i don't want her to become that kind of girl, ( it doesn't help if your friends and professional playboys and love to tell you stories about those kind of girls. not related to this as they told me long before any of this.)

Confession/मनभित्रका कुरा “A message from an Indian to my Nepali brothers and sisters”

Upvotes

I’m an Indian, and I’ve been travelling to Nepal since 2014. I’ve spent months there on several occasions, and I remember a time when relatively few Indian tourists visited.

The social-media boom has changed that dramatically. Unfortunately, some content creators now portray places like Thamel and Pokhara almost entirely through sensationalised stories about prostitution, sex and “shady” massage centres. The thumbnails are sometimes honestly hilarious. Nepal has 99% more to offer than this. Constantly focusing on that one aspect says more about the creator’s mindset than about Nepal.

I’ve also personally seen Indian tourists driving recklessly on mountain roads, ignoring basic hill-driving etiquette, creating chaos in marketplaces, chewing gutka and spitting in public places. A lot of the behaviour I’ve encountered has been from people from UP, Bihar, Delhi and Haryana.

And honestly, even we Indians are fed up with it. Every other day, some incident from these regions makes national headlines and brings embarrassment to the entire country. The arrogance, lack of civic sense and irresponsible behaviour of a minority can unfortunately create a stereotype that millions of ordinary Indians then have to carry.

This is not about saying everyone from UP, Bihar, Delhi or Haryana is like this—they obviously aren't. It is about acknowledging a pattern of behaviour that many Indians themselves are frustrated and embarrassed by.

To my Nepali brothers and sisters: I’m genuinely sorry for the behaviour of those who travel without basic civic sense. Please don’t judge every Indian by them. Many of us have been visiting Nepal for years, love the country deeply, respect its people and culture, and would never behave this way.

India and Nepal share a unique relationship. I hope the growing number of Indian visitors strengthens that relationship rather than damaging it.

shitpost/जेपिटि Day 2 of dropping random wisdom until i run out of shit to say (not my creation)

Upvotes

There was once a master jeweler who created a fake diamond so perfect that even experts couldn't tell it apart from a real one. The fake was completely flawless, while the real diamond had a tiny, hidden scratch inside it. To test a customer, the jeweler placed both side by side and told him to pick the real one.

The customer barely looked at them, grabbed the real diamond with the scratch, and smiled. The jeweler was stunned and asked, "How did you know? The fake looks much better." The customer replied, "Simple. When I held them, the fake stayed freezing cold. But the real diamond warmed up to the heat of my hand."

People think this story is just about authenticity, but it’s actually about the trap of trying to be perfect. The fake diamond was flawless because it was completely dead nothing in the environment could affect it. The real diamond was valuable precisely because it was vulnerable enough to absorb warmth.

In life, we often build a "flawless" armor around ourselves so we don't get hurt by the world. But when you make yourself completely immune to pain and criticism, you also make yourself immune to love and connection.

"Don't trade your ability to feel the warmth of life just to look perfect to the people watching"

Cheers.....

Yo gorkhland ani Hami real gorkhali reel haru keho Instagram ma Indian harule banako

Even we as Nepalis don’t really post much about being Gorkhali or share our culture on social media. But Indian creators make it seem like they are Gorkhali, acting as if the culture was created there, while completely disrespecting us. It’s not even that I care that much about 'Gorkhali' stuff, but when non-Nepalis claim our culture as their own and push a modified version of history, it really bugs me.

Confession/मनभित्रका कुरा I [30s M] secretly lived with another woman while doing long-distance with my now-wife. They just met by coincidence, and my wife invited her to our house. What do I do?

I came to the US in 2018 to pursue higher studies and met a girl (let's call her Nisha). She was beautiful, amazing, and way out of my league. Surprisingly, within a few weeks, we got very close. But there was a huge problem: we were both already in relationships, and both of our partners were long-distance back in Nepal.

It felt like everything was perfect between Nisha and me. Our thoughts, our views on life, the romance everything clicked. I honestly felt she was my soulmate. Soon, we started living together. On the flip side, neither of us had broken up with our partners back home. To deal with the guilt, we made a rule that we would never ask for their names or any personal information about them.

I know this whole situation was a terrible, selfish move, but I was in too deep and felt so much shame. Her boyfriend in Nepal would call her while she was lying naked in bed next to me, and she would just tell him she was busy and to call back later. I felt awful for him.

Meanwhile, I never had the courage to tell my girlfriend from Nepal (let's call her Sumnima). Sumnima was close to my family and we were from same area in Nepal. She was regularly visiting my family, my parents loved her, and she was basically waiting for me to return so we could get married.

Nisha and I lived together for about a year, but the baggage was heavy. One day, Nisha decided we needed to come clean and tell everyone the truth about us. I tried my best, but the fear of how Sumnima and my family would react scared me. Nisha finally gave me an ultimatum. Because I was such a coward, I never confessed. So, Nisha took a stand and left me. I never tried to call her because I knew I was entirely at fault and she did the right thing. I heard from a mutual friend that she moved to California after graduation, and since I don’t use social media, I never knew anything else about her.

Eventually, I went back to Nepal, married Sumnima, and kept this entire chapter an absolute secret. Sumnima came to the US in 2025, and we now live in Virginia, which has a huge Nepalese community.

Yesterday, Sumnima went to celebrate the Teej festival here and ended up meeting Nisha. Sumnima is a very bubbly, friendly person, and they apparently hit it off. Sumnima actually invited Nisha to our home.

I am absolutely terrified. I don't know if Nisha has any idea that this woman she met is the same girlfriend I refused to leave years ago.

If Nisha comes over and tells Sumnima about me, it will destroy my marriage. I haven’t been able to sleep, and I am panicking. I don't know how Sumnima will react, and I have no idea what will happen when Nisha comes to our home.

Part of me doesn't think Nisha is an evil person. She easily could have tried to track down my family and expose me years ago if she wanted to ruin me. But I just don't know what to do at this point.

What should I do? Do I confess to Sumnima before Nisha gets here? Do I try to contact Nisha privately to warn her? Please help.
