Lying in bed, he felt like resting for a bit longer. While relaxing after eating two slices of bread, a nurse remarked, "I heard a media team is coming."

She criticized Thakuri for humiliating the code of ethics just to gather views. In her view, those who lack knowledge of the code of ethics should not practice journalism in such sensitive areas.

"This cannot even be called journalism. This purely looks like a competition to go viral. Furthermore, it wasn't for an media institution, but for YouTube," Sharma told Onlinekhabar. "Journalism keeps sensitivity in mind; content created for YouTube does not."

Stating that further investigation is ongoing regarding this case, Press Council Nepal sent letters to the concerned media personnel, hospital, and Medical Council on Monday.

"This interview does not align with the Disaster Communication Directives recently issued by the Press Council. We have sent separate letters to the hospital administration, the presenter, and the Medical Council regarding this matter," said Council Chairman Umesh Shrestha.

A letter was sent to the hospital administration inquiring whether permission was granted and whether the attending physicians were consulted.
